Yeah from my nursing experience that's ok @Anne. Nope not trying at all until we're away. Have been using condoms since we booked the holiday! Seems crazy when we desperately want a baby but I'd hate to miscarry abroad and want to enjoy the all inclusive! Also think it's been good to give ourselves a bit of a break.

beanhunter · 17/08/2018 12:31

I’m kind of ok. No bleedkng yesterday and was sick in the evening so maybe it’s not all over.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/08/2018 13:18

Thanks @Hopefulforourrainbow, and totally get you on just putting it off and really properly enjoying yourselves and relaxing without ttc hanging over your head. Enjoy!!!!!

Have a cocktail or two for me Smile

Very glad to hear that @beanhunter. Not often puking is worthy of celebration but if it's a good sign then I'm pleased. Hopefully it was just a blip. Can you get seen as soon as you get home to get checked out? Some EPUs are open Saturday and Sunday.

beanhunter · 17/08/2018 13:19

I’ll call the epau tomorrow. They are a 24/7 as they run as a hyperemesis and gynae assessment unit. Whether they will be interested as the bleeding has stopped I don’t know. I can imagine they may make me wait for my scan next Friday.

SerenaOverjoyed · 17/08/2018 19:31

Glad its stopped beanhunter. Bleeding on holiday sounds horrendous Flowers

Enjoy your holiday hopeful, I went to Mexico a few years ago and it was absolute heaven.

SerenaOverjoyed · 17/08/2018 19:33

Really interested in the B6 as my ovulation is always post day 21 and seems to be getting later.. is it something you don't get much of if you're veggie? i know i'm being lazy and could google

Hopefulforourrainbow · 17/08/2018 20:45

Oh I'm not sure @Serena. I usually ovulate somewhere around CD21-23. I think the b6 I bought has beef gelatine in it.

Miami81 · 18/08/2018 08:44

B6 is in a lot of protein rich lean meats and fish. But also in eggs, nuts, seeds and veg (come breads and cereals as well).

Thanks @Miami

Update. Supposedly 5+3 today. Tentative good news. Hcg 7464. They offered a scan on Tuesday or weds when they rang with results (they don’t scan unless hcg >1500) but if no hb on that would then have to wait another week. So I’ve elected to keep my Friday slot as I think there’s more chance of seeing a heartbeat if there is one at that point?
Going to do repeat bloods on Monday as she’s given me a form but she said I didn’t have to. Still daren’t hope but at least it’s not definitely all lost.

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/08/2018 20:02

What a relief bean, very pleased things are looking better for you. Crossing everything bloods Monday show good development. If you’re in early you might get the results the same day. I’ve been so worried about you, so relieved things are reassuring.

How was your holiday? Did you manage to enjoy any of it? It’s a stunning country.

Only update from me is astounding efficiency of the NHS! Emailed my form and request for booking appointment Thursday night, asked to have it at a specific hospital of the 3 options. Auto reply said you’ll get something in the post in 14 days, which was cutting it fine for dates and nuchal screening.

Got a text first thing this morning offering my an appointment next Friday, at a good time, where I wanted and all I had to do was reply “yes”. Staggered!

So busy week with scan at the furthest possible hospital from work Thursday which consultant told me he’d definitely have forgotten about as I’m to catch him as he goes into surgery the day before his holiday... Then booking in Friday.

Morning ladies.

I know paranormal has already mentioned it but I thought I'd pop back for my own little announcement. Nearly 4 years after we started TTC, and 3 years since my first MC, after 4 MCs and corrective surgery on my uterus we finally welcomed our daughter Rowan into the world on Tuesday afternoon. And we are utterly besotted, and completely exhausted!

It has been an incredibly difficult period of our lives and we questioned carrying on on many occasions but I am so so glad we persevered as she is definitely worth it.

I wish you all well for the rest of your journeys and hope you all get your much wanted rainbow babies.

Anne and Miami, we've never met but we've been in this together for a long time and I feel like I know you even though we've never met. I hope this time is it for both of you and I'll be keeping my eye on how you get on. Miami thinking of you especially and little Eilidh (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) in the coming weeks. Thank you for all the support you've given me.

AnneLovesGilbert · 19/08/2018 09:48

keepon 😘 Such beautiful wonderful news, thank you for popping in and more congratulations and joy for all 3 of you than I can really describe. Having a happy cry for you. You’ve been through SO much and stayed resilient, funny, kind, thoughtful and so very strong and your baby girl couldn’t have picked a better mum. The happy endings make the dark days seem worth it and you give us all hope. miami had a feeling your renovated uterus would do the job and she was right Grin

Your wisdom and company has been so lovely, thank you.

Enjoy your beautiful Rowan and embrace your new family xxx

Hopefulforourrainbow · 19/08/2018 10:04

Huge congratulations @keepon. Thank you for coming on to share your wonderful news. Felt a bit emotional reading your post. Sending lots of love and hugs ❤

beanhunter · 19/08/2018 11:02

Congratulations keepon x

Miami81 · 19/08/2018 11:34

@keeponrunning85 having an emotional little cry for you and your beautiful wee family this morning. I am so proud (weird word) of you for having the strength of character to keep going. Rowan is a beautiful name and I am sure she is just as beautiful. Remember to mind yourself over the next while, recover well from your c-section and just breath it all in.
And thank you for all your kind words and care over the last while. I feel the same, I don't know you but I really feel like we have been through so much together that I do know you. Anyway I'll stop babbling.

Miami81 · 19/08/2018 11:35

@beanhunter that's really good hcg numbers for 5+3. I like your thinking for holding out til Friday, I would be the same. The fucking limbo when things are too early is a nightmare.

OP posts:
Paranormalbouquet · 19/08/2018 14:22

Bean hoping for the best for you- agree the numbers sound good. I'd do the same as you and wait until Friday- at least you'll have answers either way.

Anne I'm delighted you have all your dates etc already. I was the same this time- left it late to book but got my scan date and appointment date within 48 hours.

beanhunter · 20/08/2018 07:17

Feel very sick this morning. Whether that’s a good sign or the prospect of being back at work after 2 weeks off or of anxiety about the bloods is unclear.

Munchies89 · 20/08/2018 09:01

Hope your first day back goes okay @bean and the nausea is manageable.

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend. I'm so looking forward to having an extra day off next week for bank holiday x

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/08/2018 12:31

I really was impressed para. Not going to plan for Friday till Thursday's scan is out the way. My resentment towards booking appointments is extreme these days. Did you get your scan date after you'd had your booking? Or at the same time?

They take bloods at both so not sure what they'll do if they're close together.

Been for your bloods yet bean? Crossing everything for fantastic doubling and reassuring news for you. Hope the nausea calms down. It's very muggy today which never helps.

Always love a bank holiday munchie! Do you have plans for the long weekend?

Have you had your RMC appointment yet? Struggling to keep track atm, sorry.

Munchies89 · 20/08/2018 13:02

@Anne I feel exactly the same about booking appointments.
No don't worry I'm also struggling to keep up. I've got my RMC appointment this Friday when I'll be 7 weeks. I'm keeping it together but deep down feel so anxious and emotional about the next 4 weeks. We've been really busy the last few weeks so we haven't got much planned for the next couple weekends but sure we'll end up being busy when it comes to it. How about you?
Keeping you in my thoughts for Thursday xx

Paranormalbouquet · 20/08/2018 13:12

I got a scan appointment along with a booking appointment. I didn’t book until 10 weeks and I’d had a few good scans this time- too much experience about being chased for follow up appointments after miscarrying in the past. Have the same resentment of booking appointments.

Keeping everything crossed for everyone.

beanhunter · 20/08/2018 15:41

Rpt is 11978 (was 7464) which is apparently ok as slows down a bit post 6000 - anyone else been told that? . Now to wait for Friday.
