Oh @CurlyTwirlyTwos I'm sooo sorry to read your post!! Such an awful time. Great advice and responses from the girls as always- I hope you get more info and advice tomorrow from the GP/EPAU. We are always here for you xx

Munchies89 · 23/08/2018 06:57

Thinking of you @Anne, hope your scan goes well today xx

Hopefulforourrainbow · 23/08/2018 08:43

Good luck @anne

Labmum · 23/08/2018 10:54

Good luck today @AnneLovesGilbert

Come back whenever you feel ready @CurlyTwirlyTwos, there will always be a lovely group of ladies waiting to hold your hand.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/08/2018 11:26

So heartbroken to read your post @CurlyTwirlyTwos, what you're going through echoes so strongly with where I was when I had my 5 week mc immediately after my 12 week mmc. It was too soon for either of us mentally and the shock and pain of going through it all AGAIN so fucking soon was nearly the worst time I've had in this whole sorry journey so far. Holding your hand tightly and please remember we're all here for you and can empathise with your pain and disappointment Flowers

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/08/2018 11:32

Thanks for kind wishes team Smile

I can currently only see it going well because the prospect of it not is too much for my tiny brain to handle this morning. So travelling hopefully.... Bit stressed about how the hell we're going to track him down, I have his scrawl on an old letter with orders to find him in an assessment unit before he goes into theatre! Gotta love a cloak and dagger scan.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/08/2018 14:41

Phew. A very alive wriggly baby.

Massive clot off the placenta that may or may not bleed like a bastard at some point. He said to expect it to happen and not to worry as it won't affect the baby.

If I do bleed I need to up the cyclogest and I've got another course of ABs to take but not till after we're back as apparently the side effects are grim.

We are so so relieved. I sobbed all over a sandwich in the canteen after.

Munchies89 · 23/08/2018 14:52

Ahhhhhhh @Anne that's amazing news!! So relieved for you 😀😀😀
Does he know what's caused the clot?x

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/08/2018 15:11

Thank you munchie x

Not a clue. I asked if it caused the last bleed and he said maybe but can't be 100%. He said it if goes it'll be dramatic but not dangerous so useful to have a heads up. I'm sure it would still shit me right up but I wouldn't assume I was losing it and I haven't had a peep since the previous weekend. It's at the opposite end of the placenta to the sac.

RMC for you tomorrow? How are you feeling about it? How are you feeling in general?

Hopefulforourrainbow · 23/08/2018 15:22

Oh that's fantastic news @Anne! I have been checking back every half hour or so to see if you'd posted anything! So happy for you. How many weeks does that make you now?
I can't decide if I'm going to start taking the b6 or not. Really thought AF was starting yesterday especially when there was a clot and I felt like crap. It seems to have pretty mich stopped now. Would be too soon for AF and if it isn't what the hell is it?! Just over a week til holiday. Can't bloody wait!

Paranormalbouquet · 23/08/2018 15:31

Congratulations Anne!! Not long til the next milestone now! I had a SCH which did bleed fairly frequently but suddenly reabsorbed at some point between 11 and 13 weeks.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/08/2018 15:59

Thank you both so much x

11 tomorrow hopeful. About 20% of me can't quite believe it. Long way to go but I was starting to really get attached to this one after managing to stay so distanced with my last one and my zen was absorbed by blind panic till he said it was okay.

Do you start the B6 on CD1? When is AF due? How long since you ovulated? Hasn't been a week yet has it? If you think things are playing up then I'd wait till you're sure it's AF. What sort of crap were you feeling....? Symptoms? Wink

Is it the same thing para? You know me and medical terminology Blush He said it could bleed at any point up to 28 weeks and I'm more at risk of a repeat within 2 weeks of the last one, which isn't over yet.

The AB is erythromycin, looks delightful Hmm

beanhunter · 23/08/2018 16:07

Great news @annelovesgilbert.
Scan for me tomorrow. Nervous.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 23/08/2018 16:12

I'm not sure when you're supposed to start it. I think I'm 5 or 6 days since ovulation. Around 5 days til AF. I had cramps, felt a bit sick, headache and sore boobs. I tested today just to see. Bfn as expected. We've been using condoms this month anyway.

Paranormalbouquet · 23/08/2018 16:13

Erythromycin isn’t awful. Tends to cause nausea but you might have that anyway! And it might cure the pregnancy induced constipation....

I’d imagine a SCH is what he’s referring to- they can cause fairly impressive bleeding I believe. Mine just caused a constant low level bleed though with occasionally heavier episodes.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/08/2018 16:38

Know anyone who got pregnant using condoms para? Grin Sorry you're feeling pants hopeful, does seem a bit soon for AF symptoms. I had cramping this time from about 6 dpo, kept thinking it was coming but it didn't. I know you're looking forward to a boozy carefree holiday but you never know.... Mocktails are great!

Do you know para? No constipation at all this time, despite the cyclo. But fair point about the nausea. Usually not bad at all but someone's puked in the sick room at work not cleaned it up properly and for the last 48 hours the smell has been getting worse and worse.

Your massive bleed after dtd must have been terrifying. Did it help knowing what was causing it? And did you worry about anaemia with the regular bleeding?

Hopefulforourrainbow · 23/08/2018 16:44

Omg I forgot about @para and the condom incident! Would be just my luck to get a bfp before holiday! Would much rather relax and enjoy ourselves while away and get pregnant then!
Good luck tomorrow @bean

Labmum · 23/08/2018 16:47

@Anne that's amazing news! So happy and relieved for you! Are you past the point of all your MC's now?

@munchies hope all goes well with RMC.

@beanhunter fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow.

Paranormalbouquet · 23/08/2018 16:57

Anne I didn't really worry about bleeding after sex with DD once I knew the cause. This of course was before I had multiple miscarriages so I was more relaxed generally that time. This time there's been no sex so not a problem. I wasn't too worried about anaemia as I generally have an excellent haemoglobin which only drops after very heavy prolonged bleeding (so after my PPH with DD and after the very heavy bleeds with MMC earlier this year it did drop a lot but recovered quickly). I also am at baseline VERY pale so I seem to get an FBC every 4-6 weeks when midwives worry about how pale I look!

Hopeful I did indeed get pregnant using condoms. Cue much panic as had surgery planned for 2 weeks post BFP!!! Although extensive reading tells me that they are not the most effective (and mine were stored in a damp place which is apparently not the right place to keep them!). Like Anne I had cramping from soon after ovulation this time...

Hopefulforourrainbow · 23/08/2018 17:10

I just have a night shift hangover now. Beginning to think I need a career change! I'll test again at the weekend. Never thought I'd say this but hoping for a negative!

Munchies89 · 23/08/2018 20:10

Of course it'll still be a shock @Anne but atleast he's given you that reasurrance and heads up about a more than likely future bleed. Yes RMC tomorrow- I've been trying to stay positive but truly I feel really sad and tearful as feel like it's only ever going to end in MC. I went to a different appointment yesterday and told them I was pregnant, their first reaction was to say congratulations and I just burst out crying. Such a difficult time for us all and so mentally draining. I've been a little more tired and had the odd cramp but apart from that I'm feeling really well. Not holding up much hope for tomorrow as I'll be 7 weeks but ovulate late and have a short luteal phase so plan to be dated more like early 6 weeks if anything. Yet trying to keep an open mind.
Hope you didn't have a stressful time finding the guy earlier.

Thank you @LabMum how are you doing??

Bet you can't wait for your holiday now @Hopefulforourrainbow.

Good luck for tomorrow @Beanhunter xx

Miami81 · 24/08/2018 06:49

@AnneLovesGilbert I am so relieved for you. Go baby go. I had a clot with dd too, mine was like @Paranormalbouquet as well, it just bled out consistently over weeks, wasn't a big dramatic bleed but was a pain in the arse. Hopefully yours will just quietly reabsorb and feck off. Is dating scan next Friday? And for my two cents worth, let yourself believe and totally enjoy where you are at and love each moment. Don't let fear ruin it, because that fear doesn't make it any better or worse if it all goes to shit. I hope that makes sense. And also I do believe that a bit of believing helps.

Good luck today @Munchies89 I totally get the crying thing. The midwife at my high risk clinic is like a cheerleader and is so over the top thrilled for us that we are back again and pregnant. First time we saw her I was 6.5 weeks and had been told I was already likely to miscarry. I was like seriously love, tone it down a bit.
