Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

Fingers crossed @charliedontsurf

Fingers crossed for you Charlie.
I think I’m def out. Not sure I’ll be on the next bus as my husband is def not as keen as me . I do understand, we have been parents for 23 years and things are much easier these days ( I was pregnant at 16/18 and 29.
The baby at 29 took 4 years to conceive and did have a negative impact on our relationship but amazing when I eventually got pregnant and he has been such a blessing on our family.
I want it all again .. selfish I dunno but I’m just someone who loves to mother snd would love to experience it all again .
Loads of luck to everyone on the thread.

My temp is still up at 16dpo and still not bleeding but test is as negative as ever. I think my temp must have dropped in the three days where I was spotting and didn't temp and is now back up (I think I read temp can fluctuate quite a lot during your period).

I'm concerned that I didn't have a proper period though. I figured that as soon as the coil was gone my lining would grow normally - that doesn't seem to be the case though! Normal length ovulatory cycle with coil removed before CD1 but no period. It's annoying, I want some closure in the form of a sustained temp drop or proper bleeding...or a very very late BFP!

So I gave up and tested and I think it is an extremely faint positive 😊. However with all the issues i have it may not be successful. My family have never successfully carried a boy either for generations. Or maybe I’m imaging it being positive. But appears that getting a cold maybe a sign. I’m also waiting to be told off by the consultant and GP 😂. Since they were making me wait until jan I didn’t think it was that much of an issue. Then suddenly it moves to September oops. I will see if the line gets stronger tomorrow.

ImpatientMammy · 04/09/2018 08:02

@KinCat just went back to check these where my first two periods post mirena I think my leutal phase was short for a little while too x

Congrats @Lemonsugar245
Why where they asking you to wait again? I'm sorry I don't remember. Is it you that needed genetics done? X

Lemonsugar245 · 04/09/2018 08:08

@ImpatientMammy there is suspected haemophilia in the family. Well my mum thinks her dad had it and he died at 50. My aunt and Mum also had issues after labour that fit with it. My husband said your line is really light so maybe it isn’t. It’s very early and given the issues I’d be surprised first time will work

KinCat · 04/09/2018 08:51

ImpatientMammy thanks so much for sharing those, that's interesting. I'll try and enjoy the light periods while I can!

ImpatientMammy · 04/09/2018 09:11

@KinCat what length was your leautal phase or are you not sure? My periods returned in the January and don't worry to much the reason I'm still not pregnant is due to my Other half's work not the coil x

KinCat · 04/09/2018 09:23

ImpatientMammy the first cycle I tracked luteal phase was 13 days (ovulation to temp drop - I didn't bleed as had just had the coil removed). This second cycle I'm not sure as I didn't temp whilst on holiday but from ovulation to what I guess could have been a light period was 12 days. I wish I'd temped those few days cause now it's stressing me out that my temp is still high! I bet I'd have seen a steep drop at 12dpo if I'd been monitoring and then wouldn't still be peeing on sticks at 16dpo lol.

That's annoying about your OH's work. Is it something that might change soon?

OP posts:
ImpatientMammy · 04/09/2018 09:27

@KinCat no but he was home for this ovulation and then because I had a delayed ovulation this cycle I think we'll have a chance next month. I'm feeling quite posative though so hopefully it's doesn't matter and I'll get a BFP at the weekend 😆 x

Noodella18 · 04/09/2018 09:39

@charliedontsurf that looks really promising! Fingers crossed.

@lemonsugar SEE!!! Told you the cold was a sign of something! Best of luck.

I have a nasty feeling that this little eggy isn't sticking :( Tested on Sunday with a very distinct positive line on FRER. Did a 25ui dip test yesterday and there was the faintest shadow of a line, which I was expecting because it's so much less sensitive than the FRER. Did another diptest today though and there was pretty much nothing to see... Boobs are also feeling less sore and slightly less firm than they did on Sunday. Surely the diptest would be stronger the day after?

Lemonsugar245 · 04/09/2018 09:57

@Noodella18 is it worth getting another frer. 25mui is probably only really accurate day after missed period.

Ailsamolly · 04/09/2018 10:03

@Lemonsugar245 ahh congrats. I hope your next test is another BFP :) my cold died down as the day went on, but woke up this morning and it's back. Still got cramping which I'm hoping is a good sign. Any one else had anything like that and got bfp?
Constant cramping from about 2/3dpo ? On 7dpo at the mo. Bfn

stormtrooperjulian · 04/09/2018 10:04

Got a bfn on a 10mui ic this morning at 9/10dpo. I know it’s probably still to early to test (especially if I am only 9dpo!), and I’ve had some potentially promising symptoms (that may of course be wishful thinking) so we’ll see what the next couple of days bring.

Lemonsugar245 · 04/09/2018 10:40

@Ailsamolly I have an actual cold yellow and all. I had pain about 8 DPO like a stitch when I was driving.

mrss2018 · 04/09/2018 12:31

Af has just arrived...early...day 2 into our honeymoon...pissed off doesn't come close....also very very sad

charliedontsurf · 04/09/2018 13:49

I'm sorry @mrss2018 it sucks doesn't it. Hope you enjoy your honeymoon Flowers

I've done another 2 tests and BFN Sad pretty certain I'm out. No idea what that positive test was about last night. Gutted.

Congrats @lemonsugar245

Lemonsugar245 · 04/09/2018 13:53

@charliedontsurf false positives aren’t common. What brand did you use? I used Poundland so might be worth getting 3 for a Pound. It might be Asda is more sensitive than others you are using. You could retry Asda again

Bubblemumma1 · 04/09/2018 14:18

Congratulations to all the BFPs!
I’m sorry @mrss2018 and other ladies who have AF.

I’ve DTD on CD14 and 15.
I was away from DH on CD 16 and 17 and got my first (post-partum) positive OPKs on both days. Lost the plot momentarily Blush

Today is CD18 and we’ve finally managed to DTD. I’m just relieved to see signs of ovulation. If this isn’t our month then we’ll start again in the new year.

DH brought back lots of gin for me from his travels so I may have a glass tonight.

Noodella18 · 04/09/2018 14:20

@charliedontsurf Www I'm sorry to hear that. When's your period due Try testing same time of day with same brand of test?

charliedontsurf · 04/09/2018 14:28

Not due AF for another 2 days. The one I had was called Freedom brand, just looked on the asda website and there is v recent reviews saying false positives Shock I honestly didn't think they were a real possibility. Will give them a swerve now I think.

Tried a clear blue today, the more I stare at it the more I keep thinking maybe if I squint a bit there will be a line! I know they're not seen as being v reliable on here but I got my bfp will DD on one so thought it might be lucky!

Ah well. It's hard when you want something so much isn't it!

Too early for a September bus?
Noodella18 · 04/09/2018 14:53

@charliedontsurf eesh, really hard to see on here... I guess nothing to do but wait and see what happens on Thursday! I'm due in 2 days too. Pact not to test til then?! Had a clear as a bell positive FRER on Sunday, a pathetically faint line on a less sensitive test yesterday and pretty much nothing to see on today's less sensitive test (same brand as yesterday) :( Worried it hasn't stuck but I don't think testing more is the answer for me right now!.

Lubilu28 · 04/09/2018 14:54

So here I am symptom spotting AGAIN 🙈😂

So normally before af I have quite a lot of cm but I’m literally bone dry!! Anyone of you lovely ladies who got a bfp had the same?? I keep reading lots of cm means pregnancy! Keep thinking I’m out this month but just keeping my fx that I’m still in for a chance xx
