Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

@ImpatientMammy @veeboo I've had lots of cm like that and this morning I woke up with af style cramps and a fullness feeling. My back is quite achy too which I would get one day 1 and 2 of af but never this early.

@GreatestShowWoman I'm so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself.

KinCat · 02/09/2018 10:59

I'm out! Period started today although I've been spotting for a few days. Had a great holiday though and looking forward to next cycle when I should ovulate when we're on holiday again so lots of chances to dtd!

Congrats to all BFPs, comiserations to all having a hard time with ttc.

Ah @kincat sorry to hear that but glad you had a good break and good timing for next month! Fx it's meant to be!

Newbie21 · 02/09/2018 13:59

My cm has changed colour slightly and I have that pre AF feeling so think I'm about to start spotting for a couple of days then AF will come along. I never used to get this spotting pre AF but since MC it seems to have become a thing. Really annoying cos it gives a slight false hope of IB but this time round I'm pretty sure it's not. :-(.

Thisimmortalcurl · 02/09/2018 14:08

Sorry to the ladies that a/f has come . Fingers crossed for next month.
I bought some first response tests and they are burning a hole in my bag !
I’m on a long day at work and although I prob should have peed in something this morning at 5.55 I couldn’t be bothered .
I’m going to wait till I get home about 9 ish tonight and do it when my husband is there .
I’m not sure why I’m so nervous to test but I am.

Dwellington · 02/09/2018 15:52

Not feeling overly confident anymore about this month. Stupidly did a test this afternoon (why!!??) 10dpo BFN. But at the usual stage of boobs deflating/not overly sore anymore and CM dried up and gone slightly yellowy which is fairly conclusive of impending AF by Thursday.

At least we have the GP booked tomorrow anyway which will start the ball rolling with our investigations.

Messyhouse5 · 02/09/2018 16:04

@Dwellington hope you get some answers at the GP

I am not feeling hopeful either as had a tiny more bit of brown but still no period... I feel like its about to happen.

I hate this stage as I literally feel like a bubble about to burst, so much pressure in my body, hopes etc... as soon as my period starts its amazing how the surge of hormones settle and all calms and I am ok again.

I've left it too late to buy a test now, so if no period arrives I will definitely buy tomorrow. I am only one day over so not sure why I have got so excited anyway!

Dwellington · 02/09/2018 16:13

@Messyhouse5 Yep I definitely get that feeling. Feels like such a let down after a long month of prepping, putting in so much effort to make sure you’ve done the business on the right days, waited patiently through most of the TWW and then knowing it’s round the corner and there’s nothing you can do about it is gutting. And then of course, pregnant women and new babies everywhere. And can’t seem to go a day at work without “isn’t it about time you had another one yet?!” TELL THAT TO MY USELESS UTERUS 🤦🏻‍♀️

Have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.

ImpatientMammy · 02/09/2018 17:03

Ahhh @Dwellington have you got an almost 3 year old too? What the hell is wrong with people that's such a personal thing!!! My MIL talks about it all the time it's like wtf June do you really want to know that me and you son have been unsuccessfully been at it like rabbits since November 😑 like come on guys if you don't want to awkwardly talk about someone's sex life and/or uterus/sperm leave chat of their future offspring to a minimum, yes?
I can't cope with another period like I'm like a two year old having a tantrum now we're ttc I sat on the loo and cried last cycle 🙈 hopefully this is a lucky thread though so they'll be no more of that x

Dwellington · 02/09/2018 18:37

@ImpatientMammy yes mine is nearly 3 so prime age range for people asking the dreaded question! I know most are only making conversation but the way I see it: if a woman hasn’t told you she is pregnant she’s either a) not pregnant and doesn’t want to be. B) not pregnant and wants to be. Or c) pregnant and not telling anybody yet! Either way I think the next person to ask should get the full no details spared hard facts about my cycle, cervical mucus and all 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 that should shut them up fairly quick!!

ImpatientMammy · 02/09/2018 19:03

@Dwellington please do it!! 😂😂 MIL was hinting today I just wanted to be like well we had unprotected sex 10 times this month so fingers crossed 😂I just don't have the balls to do it though ha x

sbhf1987 · 02/09/2018 19:41

@ImpatientMammy @Dwellington I feel your pain with the questions. We don’t have any children but at the grand ‘old’ age of 31 🙄 and after being married a whole year we are getting the ‘you’re leaving it late’ comments and don’t you want one yet. I’ve gone from psycho no we don’t want any p1ss off responses to a major emotional breakdown to my mum when AF arrived last month even though we weren’t planning on telling anyone!

Bimbabo · 02/09/2018 19:58

My MIL was asking for us to go to the GP to get checked up and my DH told her that they would only make sure he was putting it in the right hole. Not heard anything else since! Grin

Messyhouse5 · 02/09/2018 21:04

Well I think I am out of the game :( I have now had some brown spotting on a pad and when I wipe pink watery blood! So much cramping too which I don't normally get...

feeling very down about it, really impacts your mood. From feeling edgy and with excited nerves last couple of days to this... such a head !

Ah well!

@Bimbabo your post made me laugh! Thanks for that - so funny!

Messyhouse5 · 02/09/2018 21:04

@Bimbabo I keep clenching my bum cheeks every time I think of that story!

Bimbabo · 02/09/2018 21:23

@Messyhouse5 he has a unique way with words!

KinCat · 02/09/2018 23:38

So having said I think I'm out my period has stopped already, it was just one day of a small amount of brown/bright red blood (plus a few days of spotting brown blood). Maybe my lining isn't back to normal after the coil?

Plus I temped for the first time in a few days today and it's still at my luteal phase levels. Surprised not to see a big temp fall yet as last cycle I had a very big drop at 14dpo.

I poas yesterday (14dpo) and it was 100% negative so surely it's unlikely I'm pregnant. Wish I could test this morning but I was bursting for a wee and went before I thought about it! Maybe I'll see if I can squeeze out a bit more..

ImpatientMammy · 02/09/2018 23:41

@KinCat my periods were a bit all over post cool removal. Have you had a withdrawal bleed yet? It may be that as I'm unsure how that would affect your temps x

Newbie21 · 02/09/2018 23:41

@KinCat maybe test in the morning? It could have been IB possibly?

KinCat · 03/09/2018 00:02

@ImpatientMammy my cycles are normal in that I ovulate and the first one I measured had a 13 day luteal phase. Maybe it's just the lining to take a while to get back to normal. I bled after the coil was taken out but it was at the time when I'd have expected a period (based on ovulation and temp drop) so not sure if it was caused by coil removal.

@Newbie21 I wish it could be implantation bleeding! It's morning where I am so just did another test with a few extra drops of wee and it's another clear negative. Idk, I'll keep temping the next few days and see if it drops.

@veeboo just checking back in cycle buddy, have you tested?? I did this morning and got... A BFP!!!!! Feeling fairly shell shocked and a bit terrified...!! But obviously thrilled!!

Too early for a September bus?
Ailsamolly · 03/09/2018 01:00

@KinCat fingers crossed for you

And @Noodella18 congratulations :)

cupcakesandglitter · 03/09/2018 01:44

@Noodella18 congrats xx

veeboo · 03/09/2018 02:55

I'm out. At has arrived 3 days earlier than expected so I must have messed up on opks this month. Might be time to buy the expensive ones. I'm so disheartened. I have s gp appointment Friday. Surely they won't really care much if its just a timing issue? My cycles have been 30 31 32 33 32 31 30 29 so that's not helping. We just can't dtd enough to hit every other day. I just cant see this working for us.

KinCat · 03/09/2018 04:35

Sorry to hear that veeboo - have you tried temping? At least then you might know retrospectively when you ovulated. Doesn't help with timing dtd but at least you could see how ok your timing was.
