Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

@ronniemipperton so sorry for your loss, I hope things get back to normal very quickly for you ❤️

@ImpatientMammy I had a really long cycle a couple of months ago, 6 days longer than it usually is so they do happen as a one off. Have you been stressed? I think mine was stress related and this ttc stuff doesn’t help x

cupcakesandglitter · 29/08/2018 22:39

@sbhf1987 sorry to butt in, just seen your comment about AF being longer than usual; do you know why it was? Mine came a week early and a week later I'm still spotting which is completely abnormal for me x

ImpatientMammy · 29/08/2018 22:39

@sbhf1987 yes it was def stress we went away with my OHs whole family right across my fertile week the day I got home I noticed EWCM 🙈 technically I'm only 2dpo so I'm being a bit ridiculous counting myself out like that ha. How's this cycle going for you do you think? X

bananabanana · 29/08/2018 22:56

Hi everyone! Can I join please?

Age: 27
TTC: #1
Cycle: 9/10
AF/BFP due: 10th September
Using OPKs (amazon cheapies) but cannot get the hang of temping at all!!

Good luck everyone!

sbhf1987 · 29/08/2018 23:06

@cupcakesandglitter no idea why I’m guessing stress. Last 3 months I’ve had awful cycles whereas before I was always 27/28 days like clockwork! I was taking Pregnacare Conception & read stuff online about it messing cycles up so I’ve stopped now and I’m just taking folic acid, DHA & COQ10. Went to docs and she said to go back if it doesn’t improve in a few months. I’ve started acupuncture to see if it helps x

@ImpatientMammy that does sound stressful! Hope it’s your month! Not sure how things are going, 3rd day of ‘high’ flashing smiley and have DTD all 3 days. We both started taking COQ10 & DHA a couple of weeks ago so hoping that helps us both. Just need that peak smiley to come soon! We are going to DTD every night this week, tonight was so unromantic but we both just laugh and I tell him to make it quick lol xx

sbhf1987 · 29/08/2018 23:07

Welcome @bananabanana and fingers crossed for your BFP xx

bananabanana · 29/08/2018 23:14

@sbhf1987 thank you so much!! You too xx

cupcakesandglitter · 29/08/2018 23:22

@sbhf1987 that's like me! I've heard that about pregnacare too - hopefully your cycles settle now :) x

ImpatientMammy · 29/08/2018 23:45

@sbhf1987 😂😂😂 that sounds like our house at the moment I had 7 days of flashing smileys this cycle 😰 said to OH tonight one more day tomorrow then we'll rest i this he's as sick of it as me 🙈 it's crazy remember at the start when you had more sex than this for fun, god makes me feel old ha x

sbhf1987 · 29/08/2018 23:48

@ImpatientMammy 7!! Bloody hell don’t think I would have coped lol. Keep debating whether we can have a night off but if we did and it went static the following day it would stress me out lol. We go away for the night Sunday and I’m hoping ovulation has been and gone by then so we either don’t have to have sex at all or when we do we will actually want it 😂

bananabanana · 29/08/2018 23:51

@ImpatientMammy Hahaha this is so true, the days of DTD for fun seem like such a long time ago! GrinGrinGrin

@sbhf1987 Just saw you've started COQ10 & DHA! Been thinking of starting them for a while now, what doses are you taking? This whole TTC thing is another world isn't it?!

ImpatientMammy · 30/08/2018 01:12

@sbhf1987 we missed a couple of days in there like but was luck enough to get the day before peek and every day since so hopefully we've done enough.
@bananabanana how long you been trying for? X

Smileyface32 · 30/08/2018 06:51

@sbhf1987 my flow for the last two cycles has been very small. Last month was one day of heavy flow and this af I just have blood when I wipe. I’ve taken Pregnacare for 3 months now and I’m wondering whether this has caused it. Usually I have more of a flow. Thinking of stopping it to see what happens.
Will have to research what to take now.x

thatshabbychick · 30/08/2018 07:06

@Queenofmyownheart Hiya. I'm TTC #3 and am due AF Friday/Saturday too! I've done quite a few tests already but they're all BFN. I had one cheap amazon test left this morning and it looked very negative, but I convinced myself that I could possibly see a very slight shadow after a long time! 😂🙈 I'm going to buy one more FRER today, to use tomorrow morning and if that's negative, I'm def counting myself out and AF will probably arrive soon after I am sure!!x

veeboo · 30/08/2018 07:57

👋 to the new ladies. @Newbie21 I had the same symptoms as you yesterday! Sore boobs is a rare symptom for me and it's continued today like a searing pain. Dr google helpfully says period or pregnant!! Hopefully we will start getting some positives on the thread this weekend. X

NeeMissG · 30/08/2018 08:03

Joining late but need advice please,
Age 34
TTC #1
Cycle 12 following miscarriage at 6wks last August.

Ovulation happened on CD26 which is quite late for me (normally around CD19/20), my cycles are anything from 26-33 days. Now on CD35 (longest I've ever had), could this be because ovulation was late though? Has anyone else experienced this? I had some cramping yesterday PM and felt quite nauseous (possibly just anxiety from all this though) this AM cramps are not so bad but my boobs are really sore. Should I test or not? I feel like I'm going mad, I'm constantly symptom spotting & cant focus on anything Confused

veeboo · 30/08/2018 08:15

Hi @NeeMissG whilst the length or your cycle may vary, your luteal phase, the length between ovulation and period, usually stays the same +/- a day. So if you ovulated later than usual your AF would be expected later. Do you know when you've ovulated previously so you can work out how long your luteal phase was? This will give you a good indication of when AF is actually due.

Changingagain · 30/08/2018 08:20

Bubblemumma1 I've used the Amazon cheapies for two months now. I have irregular cycles, possibly PCOS and find they go up and down regularly until ovulation when, both months, I've had a dark line and then positives for the next two days. I'm quite happy with them, and considering I could be testing for a month or more because of irregular cycles, I have no intention of paying for the expensive ones.

fizzytonicplease · 30/08/2018 08:39

Im hopping on, TTc #2
I should be ovulating next weekend and DH shifts means he isnt in work so lots of baby dancing, and then we will be on holiday during the 2WW and im actually due AF on the second to last day of the holiday. Hoping the holiday will take my mind of it. Good luck everyone

sbhf1987 · 30/08/2018 08:42

@bananabanana I bought the Zita West 2 a day and I’m taking 600mg of COQ10 so 2 a day, DH is taking the same. Reading up on COQ10 it seems like a good thing to take regardless of ttc although I think you stop when pregnant x

@ImpatientMammy finally got my fixed smiley yay! I can rest next week Smile

@Smileyface32 after being regular for so many years it was the only thing consistent with my cycle messing up. Going to see how it is this month!

PEAK SMILEY ARRIVED THIS MORNING THANK GOD! We are both shattered 😂

NeeMissG · 30/08/2018 08:43

@veeboo looking back over my charts I have ovulated anywhere from CD16-25 (although CD25 was an anomaly too, it's normally CD16-20) & my luteal phase is normally about 10/11 days, have changed my diet recently to try & extend it. Today I am 10dpo, I guess as ovulation was late AF should arrive anytime now, fingers crossed it stays away! I'm meant to be going to a birthday party Saturday & I just don't know if I should treat myself to a couple of drinks or not Confused

Queenofmyownheart · 30/08/2018 10:32

@thatshabbychick ooh snap ☺️ considering getting a FRER today but woke up with cramps in my back so looks like AF is on the way, so not sure whether to just save my money 😂

KinCat · 30/08/2018 10:54

We should start getting some BFPs rolling in soon! I had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday which I'd love to tell myself is implantation bleeding but I had the same at 10dpo last cycle as well and that was when I still had the coil in.

I didn't bring any preg tests on holiday but then had to go to the pharmacy to pick something else up so caved and bought one. I'll save it till Sunday (if my temps still up). That's the intention anyway.

thatshabbychick · 30/08/2018 13:45

Hi ladies. I did a cheapy test this morning which was a slightly dodgy negative. Have just brought 2 FRER's and I cannot believe I'm saying this, but it's a BFP!!!!!!! So all of my symptoms of a UTI, were actually implantation!! 🙈 I think I'm between 11-13DPO. I literally feel so shocked that I just went from being ecstatic, to terrified, to crying, to feeling faint- all in 5 mins. Anyway- I wish you all such luck with your TTC journeys and if you learn anything from my experience, it's try not to be impatient! I had already done so many early tests and they were all BFN and then randomly at lunchtime today- it's a positive! I was convinced that I was out, but I wasn't. Keep hopeful at all times and try not to test too early!! Sending you all lots of love and good vibes xxxx 💗

cupcakesandglitter · 30/08/2018 13:51

@thatshabbychick omg congrats 💕 xxxxx
