Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

@KinCat I think the Poundland ones say they're 20... no idea what that means though 😂😂 I found it written quite small on the side of the box if that helps? X

Smileyface32 · 23/08/2018 11:40

@KinCat it’s probably nothing but I thought it’s so strange.

I’m going to wait until the 31st. Part of me is glad to go back to work from tomorrow so I spend less time thinking about it.

Peonie89 · 23/08/2018 12:14

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 congratulations, such wonderful news this morning Smile

AF finished on Wednesday for me, so its back to CD 6 for me. Found out yesterday that SIL is expecting which was a bit of a shock (already has 6 kids all over 10yrs) after a little cry (AIBU?) because we have been trying for a while and are yet to have our BFP. Today, after some needed sleep, feeling a little better about it all that if we do get our BFP soon then bubba would have someone to play with who is closer to their age.

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 23/08/2018 12:37

You're not being unreasonable at all @Peonie89! My sil has 5 and I have felt the same way. I think it's a perfectly normal reaction

GreatestShowWoman · 23/08/2018 14:09

I buckled and tested bfn obviously!! Only 8dpo

Peonie89 · 23/08/2018 14:14

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 thank you! it makes me feel so much better to realise im not an irrational nutter Wink

@GreatestShowWoman dont worry about it, i was POAS all the time last month convinced that because hubby and i DTD when i got my static smiley that it would be all great. AF was late as well, just to give me a little kick. September will be the month Smile

Lubilu28 · 23/08/2018 18:40

So CD12 and already got a smiley on my opk! Worried that it’s too early to ovulate as last month it was CD15 when I got a smiley :/

DTD 3 days straight so far so I’m hoping I’ve caught it lol xx

Newbie21 · 23/08/2018 21:22

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 congratulations!!

I got my static smiley on Monday afternoon so presumably I would have definitely have ovulated by now? Is it possible for it be later? If I tested again and hadn't yet ovulated would it still be a static smiley or would it be flashing again or nothing?

Noodella18 · 23/08/2018 21:32

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 - congratulations!

Can I join this thread?

Age 34
TTC #1
Cycle #2

Think I ovulated yesterday or today as OPK yesterday morning, so that means period due 6th Septemberish I guess. Should probably start temping next month...

Excited but dreading the 2ww, was so much harder last month than I'd been anticipating!

veeboo · 23/08/2018 21:46

Hi @Noodella we are cycle buddies. I ovulated today (only managed to dtd yesterday and 3 days ago though) and due AF 5/6th. I'm so fed up. I don't think we'll ever manage to dtd enough!

Noodella18 · 23/08/2018 21:58

@veeboo yay, I'm glad somebody else is on the same timescales as me! Yesterday and 3 days ago sounds fine to me?! Maybe I'm not doing it right though ;) We shagged 4, 2 and 1 day ago but the last one definitely felt like a chore, neither of us can be arsed with sex every day. And anyway, I read a thread the other day about a lady who had sex with her husband pretty much every single day since they met and she'd been TTC 5 months and wasn't preggo - I think it's more about timing and luck than sheer quantity!

charliedontsurf · 23/08/2018 22:06

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 congratulations!!!

@Newbie21 i believe it's 12-36 hours after you get a peak opk Smile so prob would have ov by now. I think the static smily would still show now though, it says something in the leaflet about it iirc.

I got mine yesterday and am having mega ov pains today. DTD last night and will again tonight and tomorrow, poor DH is going to be knackered.

@GreatestShowWoman I would have caved too. Fx for you.

GreatestShowWoman · 23/08/2018 22:06

@Noodella sounds like fine timing my daughter was conceived with one insemination 3 days prior to ovulation

Newbie21 · 23/08/2018 22:21

@charliedontsurf thanks! Thought so. That is good as DH working late tonight so doubt he'd be in the mood when he gets home... but if I'm awake might chance my luck to cover all basis, haha. We dtd Friday, Sunday, Tuesday and yesterday. Annoyingly DH worked late on Monday (first day of static smiley) and he was ill. I also have a cold so hoping that doesn't have a negative effect and we've dtd enough.

I feel like I have slight cramps, v v slight so probably just paranoia and over analysing. It's going to be a long TWW!

Dwellington · 23/08/2018 23:03

Catching up, congrats to the first (I think?) BFP!

Peak on clear blue today at CD13 and already getting ovulation pain now tonight so slightly early ov this month. So AF/hopeful BFP now due 6th Sept. Hoping we are still covered, SMEP went out the window a bit but managed CD8, 11, today 13 and will get one in tomorrow morning too. The positive OPK snuck up on me as cheapo still stark white on Tuesday!

KatBeCool · 24/08/2018 05:20

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 congratulations!

4 DPO for me. My patience isn't working. I'm driving myself crazy. Was that a twinge? Are my boobs sore? Omg, I sneezed too hard. Can I lift this? Oh no, dog stepped on my belly. And while I know those worries are nonsense, they still run through my head.

veeboo · 24/08/2018 06:49

@Noodella18 thanks for your positivity! We didn't dtd yesterday but may try today and then face the tww! Fx for all.

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 24/08/2018 06:51

Thanks all for your congrats. I'm completely amazed and as someone said earlier, about when to DTD I think it was just luck. Which again I'm amazed at as we really haven't been very lucky lately. I have an appointment with the GP on Monday.

Crossing my fingers for all of you and hoping you all get your BFPs too.

Lemonsugar245 · 24/08/2018 07:26

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 and @kincat so bizarrely yesterday I got a letter cancelling the jan and moving me to end September. Which is good. It’s X carried so it would only affect a male child. We have had a double figure number of girls in a row so fingers crossed that continues! Although my husband side is all boys for a similar number of people. It’s hard to know what to want to do.

em254 · 24/08/2018 08:06

Morning ladies :) I think I’m now 1dpo, af due the 5th September. I’m already finding this all consuming! I love reading all these threads and looking at line eyes posts 🤣

I looked back at my Ovia app to check my symptoms when was TTC ds1. Pinching and cramps 6DPO, then 7/ 8 DPO i had lower back pain and hot flushes. A very very faint line 10dpo with a positive 11dpo. I know that every pregnancy is different but I’m praying for more of the same! x

em254 · 24/08/2018 08:20

@Veeboo sounds like you DTD at the right time, I previously conceive with DTD 2 days before ovulation. Fingers crossed for you!

KinCat · 24/08/2018 08:24

@Lemonsugar245 interesting. That's lucky about the cancellation. I guess it depends on what the illness is, how serious it is, etc. I kinda wish it was standard to test for loads of things. I've been reading about some genetic illnesses recently and see a lot of the symptoms in my brother and myself so now I've got myself worried...hopefully I'm just being an internet hypochondriac though!

Lemonsugar245 · 24/08/2018 08:31

@kincat this is haemophilia but it’s not clear cut that it was that my grandad had. So you can live with it. But they are concerned due to the heritage I have it could be other things Most genetic diseases tend to be recessive so both must carry it. If you are concerned have a chat with your GP they can refer you if they think there is something.

Bubblemumma1 · 24/08/2018 12:30

I’m going to join you, ladies.

I’m 30
TTC #3
Cycle 1

I’m unsure whether I’ve been ovulating because I’ve been very haphazard with using the IC OPKS. I’m still breastfeeding my DD but fell pregnant with her whilst I was breastfeeding my DS.

muddypuddlejumping · 24/08/2018 14:16

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 congratulations on the bfp! Great news!

I'm fairly certain I've ovulated today as had ewcm today and slight cramping on the left side yesterday. So now- time will tell!
I'm hoping we've dtd enough though as we managed to space it out well this last few days.

Glad to see a few of us are due af around the same time.

Into the 2ww I go 😬
