Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

@charliedontsurf that's so funny, bless him 😂 they really don't understand

Hi to all the newbies x

berrydelight · 21/08/2018 14:19

Hope it's ok if I join the September bus

Age: 29
Cycle: #3
TTC#1

Hoping for a successful month and timing wise with holidays and weddings, it'd be perfect. It seems crazy now to think of how I used to be convinced that falling pregnant would be instant!

em254 · 21/08/2018 16:49

Ladies does this look like a positive OPK? Last month was my first month using them and I can’t remember if it got much darker than this! 🙈

Wish I bought the clear blue ovulation tests now. Static and flashing smiling faces sounds much simpler!

Also welcome newbies! Really hoping the September bus is a lucky bus!! xx

thejollytrolleydolly · 21/08/2018 16:52

@em254 that looks pretty positive! The darkest mine got were about equal colour x

em254 · 21/08/2018 19:04

Thanks @ thejollytrollydolly I just worry I wait for it to get darker and miss my window or DTD too early / too frequently and the sperm isn’t as potent!

I know those worries sound totally ridiculous but they just keep going around my head. I’m trying really hard to stay relaxed and keep it cool... but deep down i know I make myself crazy overthinking every little detail and symptom! 🤪

cupcakesandglitter · 21/08/2018 19:41

@em254 we all know that feeling don't worry 😂 I stopped with the OPKs because I never got a line darker than the control, never seemed to work for me x

veeboo · 21/08/2018 20:01

Ahhh ladies please help! I think I am feeling your pain 're the o pks. My last 7 cycles have been 30 31 33 32 31 30 so I don't know If they are increasing or I might get a randomly h8gher cycle! Last monthusing o pks worked and we dtd at the right time but I'm now on CD 17 and not had a positive an dots stressing us out. We don't dtd enough and my bf struggles to finish so it takes planning. Please keep me sane!

thejollytrolleydolly · 21/08/2018 20:22

@em254 I think it's safe if, around your ov date, you try and dtd every 2/3 days. This gives the sperm enough time to refill and gives your bodies a rest too!

@veeboo do you try tracking your Cm? Instead of stressing over the opk's ( I gave up with them after 1 month) try monitoring your Cm and maybe try using an app (or two) flo app is pretty good. When you get the ewcm it usually means you'll ov in a couple of days so if you dtd as soon as you see it and maybe 2 days after that should
Give you a pretty good chance! Opk's just stress me out they are never clear xx

veeboo · 21/08/2018 20:32

Thanks the @jollytrolleydolly. I don't seem to get enough CM to track (tmi). I find the opks helpful but we just can't dtd enough whether I tell him or not.

em254 · 21/08/2018 20:35

@veeboo sounds like a randomly higher cycle, sometimes stress can affect it too, especially when we are symptom spotting!

I don’t tend to tell OH I’m ovulating, and just make him think I’m really in the mood and that seems to take the pressure off! They are all fickle at times! x

veeboo · 21/08/2018 21:17

@em254 I think he would cotton on quickly! He has said he would rather know as otherwise it's more likely it wouldn't happen at all. I'm finding it tough though. We've not managed more than twice in a fertile window so far

Just ordered these

KinCat · 22/08/2018 03:38

@GreatestShowWoman how many do you get in a box? Do you need talking down from 6dpo poas?!

I was looking for FRERs on the local Amazon and couldn't find any but did find the attached (hope the pic works). Not sure what part of this is funnier from the badly photoshopped pregnant belly to the "No. 1 America Market". Think I'll be saving my cash (it costs £7 which is very expensive for where I live!)

I am turning into a crazy person....woke up in the middle of the night panicking as we didn't DTD last night!!

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 22/08/2018 08:11

@GreatestShowWoman when do they arrive? Crossing fingers for you.

@MuddyElephant quick wake him up and do it now! Wink this process does weird things to your brain.

AF hasn't arrived yet, it's only 1-2 days late and I'm trying really hard not to get over excited. I've had mild cramping for a couple days and heavy boobs but that could still mean AF is coming. Trying not to read into it. Boyfriend just said 'you're itching to test aren't you' And laughed. He's right, I'm dying to! He's going to the gym with a friend soon so I might look up a shop and go get one. It'll be a virtual miracle if I get a positive so I almost don't want to...
Is anyone else's AF regularly late? I used 2 tracking apps a day apart - 1 says I'm 2 days late and the other says just 1.

GreatestShowWoman · 22/08/2018 08:19

@KinCat it’s okay think I’m 7dpo just now they won’t arrive until tomorrow, going to try and hold off until the weekend. Period due on 29/30th. So might get a result at the weekend!

GreatestShowWoman · 22/08/2018 08:47

Have just had to give myself a serious talking to and put the cheap sticks I got with opks back in the box.

muddypuddlejumping · 22/08/2018 09:46

I had a dream that I'd had a baby last night and was on maternity leave 😱 told my husband who was rather pleased as it was a little boy 😂
I've not yet ovulated though so it can't be a sign of anything!
Good luck to all those close to having AF due. There is a lot of willpower here!

em254 · 22/08/2018 10:00

@MuddyElephant your in good company here! It’s great to be able to vent and know we are all feeling the same way!

I’m glad OH was home yesterday and we managed to DTD after my (positive?!) OPK as today I have no more ewcm and back to creamy (sorry tmi!) let’s hope it was enough! If by tonight I don’t see any more ewcm I think I will class this as 1dpo..?! How long roughly can you conceive after ovulation.. is it 12-36 hours? Ta! x

KinCat · 22/08/2018 10:14

Oo ok you're so close to when it's reasonable to test! Everything crossed for you!

Smileyface32 · 22/08/2018 10:59

@GreatestShowWoman we’re cycle buddies! I’m 7 dpo and period is due on the 31st. My ovulation day was earlier this month and wondering if the accupuncture brought it forward from CD16 to CD12.

Haven’t had many symptoms yet! The only thing I’ve been googling is what a flatline bbt post ovulation means? Never had such a smooth curves when charting. I think I’m going crazy with googling these signs.

em254 · 22/08/2018 11:21

Fingers crossed for you @GreatestShowWoman I’m impressed with your restraint! 👍🏻

GreatestShowWoman · 22/08/2018 11:25

@Smileyface32 I’ve had horrendous cramping and pains all day yesterday and mild on Monday, nothing today but maybe that means it’s nicely implanted! I think with dd I tested at this point expecting a bfp because my symptoms were so strong but didn’t get a bfp for a few more days.
