Hey everyone! I’ve been off my mini pill a month now. I had a short bleed just before I came off it (around 31 August) and so far I’ve had absolutely no period symptoms, bleeding or anything.. except being moody I’ve taken a couple of tests which were negative. Is it normal to not have any bleeding once you’re off the mini pill? Xx

@MrsMcNtobe hey! I know in general it can take some people a while for their normal periods to come so give it a few more weeks if it doesn't come speak to the doctor if you're normally regular xx

Hi I'm a complete newbie (to the whole site as well) we are TTC our first - slightly terrified but in a good way!

Did anyone have really sore nipples but not boobs as a whole ?

@Sam142 I rarely get sore 'boobs', my nipples however are another story 😂😂 I'm with you with nipple pain!

@cupcakesandglitter thankyou! So glad, we haven't been trying for long bu.... t I have a really sensitive nipples and my lower stomach feels almost tight (I don't know how to describe it) and I keep having the feeling of being a bit sicky..... I'm trying not to get too exited and wait until next Sunday to test (when I should start my period) although I'm pretty sure it will happen middle of the week knowing me

@MrsMcNtobe feeling good thankyou however AF/FP has arrived (I think it is lighter than normal but I'm pretty sure it's too much for spotting ? ) I'm not too worried as I haven't been off the pill for too long so I think everything is just settling down,

As a random question to everyone did you ever feel like you were look down upon for being younger ? I'm not far off 27 but I do look a bit younger (I regularly get id'ed which doesn't bother me, hopefully it will still happen when I'm 40 ) especially when I'm in work gear. when buying a pregnancy test /folic acid today I got a few weird looks as if it was wrong that I should be buying stuff. It may just be me overthinking it but I just wanted to ask

@Sam142 My period didn’t arrive but this afternoon I had what I think was spotting, really light pink and definitely not enough to leak/need a tampon for (TMI sorry!) I’m just really anxious and I know I need to calm down!

I’m only 25 and feel I get weird looks I’m buying tests! I have an 8 year old step daughter and I even get weird looks when I’m out with her!

@MrsMcNtobe ah yes I'm definitely not spotting then I've had to use tampax , I don't think you can be TMI on here, people are so lovely.

When are you thinking of doing a test? I'm glad you have had a similar experience, it always seems to be old ladies no idea why! 😅

@Sam142 I done a test last week as I didn’t get a period this month. Maybe this spotting is what’s meant to be my period?! I’m gonna try and leave it a week or so and see how I feel. I’ll probably end up taking a test cos I’m impatient lol!

Hi all, so glad to find this thread (kinda struggling atm) but must admit I don't know what a lot of the acronyms mean!

I'm 31 and Ttc for baby no 1 with hubby. Came of 15 years of birth control in June (most recently Yasmin), have had 3 periods but no positive test yet. I'm currently 1-2 days late but I had a negative test this morning. I find my body plays tricks on me - feeling nauseous, sore nipples, and now even a late period and still not pregnant! I can't help but feel really sad when I get a negative test, and then feel worried somethings wrong with me. A friend of mine said worrying about it will stop me getting pregnant - so that comment has lodged I guess. I kinda see worrying occassionaly as normal?? Anyone else going through these wobbles when faced with a period/negative test? I know logically it's still early days and I may not even be ovulating normally yet, but emotionally can't seem to catch up sometimes! Thanks guys xxx

I'm new on here too! I came off my pill in June just after our honeymoon, but think my body is still quite confused of coming off the pill and getting back into a normal cycle!
I came on my period yesterday 😞 can't help but feel a little disappointed! It had been 7 weeks since my last period, but I did a test too and unfortunately negative.
Anyone else have irregular periods after coming off the pill? If so, how long roughly did it take to get back to normal?! I've been on it for 9 years! It's hard to tell when I'll be ovulating hmm!

@callypally Hello fellow newbie! I've read somewhere that periods can be quite irregular for a few months after stopping the pill - would be intrigued to hear from others experiences here as to how long that can last. Like you I'm also wondering if I'm even ovulating yet. Debating if one of those ovulation test kits would help me work that out but I should probably just be patient and relax!

Hey! I hope everyone is getting in well! Had my first period 6 weeks after coming off the mini pill. Flo app predicts ovulation soon, ovulation test had a 2nd faint line this morning so hoping this me coming up to ovulation time xx

Hi I'm new to this thread. Nice to read some of the earlier posts. Anyone else feeling extremely anxious wondering whether to test or not. I've been feeling mild nausea and loss of appetite early mornings this week and had mild cramping about 6 days ago. My temps indicate I ovulated around 11th. I have no breast tenderness or any other symptoms. I've been TTC for more than a year now and hate seeing a negative result. I know this time if I get one I'll be shattered. Really hope it's happened this time but I feel negative based on all the times it hasn't
