Does everyone get a faint grey line on frers?

When ttc in 2015-2017 frers were my go to test. Always gave the earliest bfp and were snow white if a bfn so no squinting needed!
Since ttc no.2 I've used 4 frers over the last few months and they always have a faint line. I'm pretty sure it's grey and an evap or indent but my brain starts seeing pink leading to lots of confusion and frustration when it doesn't develop. I'm still waiting for af after having my son so they are definitely bfns and not cp.

Is this normal for frer now or am I just super unlucky and have naff tests? What's the best early tests these days?

Yes, I drove myself nuts with these. If you look at it closely before you test you can see a silvery line there then.

Thanks ladies but the second one was yesterdays and the first pic which is feinitely not pink is today's so I don't think it's a bfp. Also just in case there's any confusion the test line isn't the pink smudged line on the far left it's the super faint nonexistent line between that and the control line 😆

Feel your pain frer was the test I always used and the ones I used recently really confused me and showed a clear pink line and then disappears after about 30-45 seconds so frustrating, definitely not the brand they used to be

At the risk of turning this into a line spotting thread I now think, after they've dried and been put side by side I'm breaking all the basic poasing rules, that this mornings test is pink 🤔 And shows a little progression in thickness...
or am I really going mad and ignoring my brain which is saying they're most likely still evaps/indents?!?

They look positive to me! They’re pink. I think you need to do another test and post it here immediately

I've bought some more tests but I'm going get to be a meany and make you all wait until the morning.

This was my dubious (but ultimately positive) test. Very grey. Tested next day and was a definite BFP.

Oooh I did an frer when I got home from work and it was a real squinter too but DH thinks he can see it so I'm definitely not going mad! Fingers crossed for you OP! I'm going to try to hold off a couple of days and see if I get a better line.
