Does everyone get a faint grey line on frers?

When ttc in 2015-2017 frers were my go to test. Always gave the earliest bfp and were snow white if a bfn so no squinting needed!
Since ttc no.2 I've used 4 frers over the last few months and they always have a faint line. I'm pretty sure it's grey and an evap or indent but my brain starts seeing pink leading to lots of confusion and frustration when it doesn't develop. I'm still waiting for af after having my son so they are definitely bfns and not cp.

Is this normal for frer now or am I just super unlucky and have naff tests? What's the best early tests these days?

I had a grey line this morning too! I took the test apart and there was nothing there! I've seen a few posts about this happening! Its so disheartening!

I can understand having a faint line that requires super squinting skills to see as an evap but they really shouldn't be so obvious and even pink sometimes. Frer need to sort their tests out 😡

Completely agree, mine was a visible line too! gutting when I opened it and there was nothing there at all!

Cookie mine only ever looked like that, even when I was quite pregnant (I took one further on to prove my point about the pink tests)

Nope! The wait continues! Feel nauseous today and having some stomach cramps - not sure if I'm ill or pregnant or what!! Going to give it a couple of days and see if af arrives (espesh as I have cramps) and if not then re-test...fingers are still crossed! How are you getting on?

Ooh the nausea could be promising!

I'm definitely not pg but have had ewcm and opks are getting darker so hopefully I'm trying to ovulate again!

Thanks guys :) I tested again this morning but it was still faint. However I am definitely 'late' which I never am. And these cramps are still going strong. I'm gonna grab some more tests and try again maybe tomorrow or Monday. I definitely think something is up!

@byanyothernamerose yes! Hope you're doing well :) I'm really hoping this is it but won't be celebrating until I see a proper line! I've had a week of weird cramping, backache, bit of nausea, sore boobs and not even a hint of AF and I'm 2 days late. My temps are still up although they dropped this morning but still above the line. It's all looking positive apart from the sticks!

I am 10dpo and I have taken a frer, in most some lights I can not see a line but in others I think I can see a very very faint line but not sure. I took a digital clear blue at the same time and it was negative so I'm not sure if my mind is playing tricks with me as I do not want to be pregnant
