Does everyone get a faint grey line on frers?

When ttc in 2015-2017 frers were my go to test. Always gave the earliest bfp and were snow white if a bfn so no squinting needed!
Since ttc no.2 I've used 4 frers over the last few months and they always have a faint line. I'm pretty sure it's grey and an evap or indent but my brain starts seeing pink leading to lots of confusion and frustration when it doesn't develop. I'm still waiting for af after having my son so they are definitely bfns and not cp.

Is this normal for frer now or am I just super unlucky and have naff tests? What's the best early tests these days?

We've just proven that the frers really are awful these days!

You can see in my pic that yesterday's line was absolutely pink so I stupidly let myself think it was a bfp even though I said I would stay cautious so feeling like a bit of an idiot this morning 😩

No mine had me fooled too - looked like your top test in that pic although by this morning the colour had faded (not sure if this is a sign of a false pos?). I've ordered some internet cheapies now - not too impressed with frer.

I had a previous light grey line that turned out to be nothing. I got this this morning with a FRRR. I don't know what to make of it, this was after a minute and the line got stronger but didn't go pink. These things really tease don't they.

Pictures definitely look pinker than it was. Gonna try again tomorrow if these cramps and backache don't turn into AF!

I guess all you can do is test again Katniss and hope af doesn't turn up! When is af due? I'll keep everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

Normally I'd be saying definite bfp cookie but after the last few days I'd say get a different brand, test again and see if that confirms it 🙂 Good luck 🤞🏻

Thanks BoBo, I will have fingers crossed for you too! No idea when af is due - cycle is totally erratic since coming off contraceptive. I did think Friday but today had really strong ovulation signs so maybe not another 2 weeks?! So annoying and frustrating!!

Did you retest today cookie/katniss? Any luck?
I've had a bfn on an ic and a decent line on an Opk but no ewcm so I'm hoping that's a peak before af arrives so I can try again properly next cycle

Get a blue dye one. The pink ones are a bit shit.

Tried an ic and definite BFN. Still unsure of what the hell is happening this cycle so think I'm going to stop testing and try again when my body has settled down a bit.

Sorry @BoBo90. Curse of the FRERS. People think you can't get a pink evap but FRER makes it possible. I'd never use another one again.

@BoBo90 I did a FRER when I got home (cus I couldn't wait) which is a little bit pinker(see picture), did the other FRRR I had and got the same greyish again, though all 3 so far have gone pinkish after a while. Doing one tomorrow to be sure. Plus I also feel pretty rubbish, really crampy, bad back and feel a bit sick. I feel a bit bad now for joining this thread, I swear they were grey lines before!

Ooh definitely a bfp now I'd say @CookieWaffle!!! Don't feel bad I'd much rather at least one of us got a bfp rather than all of them be evaps! Make sure you update us tomorrow so I can congratulate you properly 😁

Oh no 😩 I really hope it is a bfp Cookie but I would have expected it to be darker today... bloody frers!!

Thanks @BoBo90 I think I'll try and wait til tomorrow, today is technically AF day usually, I think i may be panicking unnecessarily too soon. Trying to focus on work today is gonna be tough!

Mine have been coming up with a faint line too but it is not a BFP, so annoying!!

Cookie I think that looks like a genuine line!
