implantation bleeds and stuff

You do know me, it's just that I don't feel ready to talk about any pg issues openly yet - this soon after my mc I feel uncharacteristically reticent!

Since my last period we suddenly got broody, after having said we'd wait some time. So we did the tests, worked out my dates and did the deed last Saturday.

Now, I am not sure exactly when my last period started, but I would expect my next one to be 14 days after ovulation - surely whatever the length of your cycle, it is always 14 days after ovulation? So a bit of bleeding (stringy brown bits) yesterday - is that an implantation bleed? Is an implantation bleed usually accompanied by lower back period type pains? Or is all this in my head?

Fisil: I first read your post about being upset following a mc on May 11, the "due date" of my Nov miscarriage. At the time I was pg and starting to worry that I would have another mc which I did... That is why your 'story' was a familiar one and why I suspected/hoped that it was you! BIG CONGRATULATIONS and best of luck for a healthy, happy pregnancy.

It is interesting what you write about dates: if this pg goes well, then I will quite likely be going public on my due date from my March mc! That feels weird! I hadn't thought about 05/05/05 - what a groovy birth date. DS was late, and born on the late date that I had always thought he would be! Now I want this pg to work out even more than before!

I really don't mind if you know who I am. I am just feeling rather stupid and scared (as my name suggests) because I really should have been more careful before I even get the chance to speak to the consultant again... Water under the bridge now as they say.
Meanwhile, I am so happy for you that I have a big smile on my face.

Wierd thing this morning. I woke up with a completely flat stomach. I was so pleased as not been flat for 2 and a half years. Usually if my af is due im really bloated. Also had a blocked nose which is another sign of mine thjat i forgot about till i woke up with it. Mind you it could be onstart of a cold. Tests havnt arrived yet so i am still blissfully ignorant.

Will def find out today, even if tests dont arrive im booked in for a scan at Hospital at 2 o,clock. I phoned and said i may be pregnant and was told to keep my appointment and the doc would decide then wether to proceed or not.

The scan is for something different but gynae related, this is huge clue to my identity as discussed it on Mn.

Oh well, tests arrived and was a bfn, BUT it does say to test till im a day late and i have 5 days to go till im late.

Good time to butt in here - I'm undercover and probably about to blow it too.
AF is 2 days late (I am never late) and I feel very nauseous all the time.
Anyone keep coming over all hot and clammy when pregnant? I keep getting strange twingey pains down below, oh and period pains on and off for the last week. I usually only get them on day 1.
I took a test yesterday and it was -ve. I had very little wee when I did the test and it was an hour after my last wee - would this affect the result?
dh away now until the weekend so I am not going to test until then. Instead I am going to hang around this thread, shiftily until I accidentally blow it! Who knows, there may actually only about 8 of us that use Mumsnet - we each have a trillion different usernames!

Hiya MommyD. I think two days late should come up as a posotive but as you said it was a poor wee sample. On the could i be pregnant thread a lady only gets posotives a week after she is late. I knew muine would be neg as tested way too early but i have no patience. I got strange twingy pains yesterday but def not period pains. Plus i didnt bleed after the gym which is quite common with me.

Will you be on later and i can let you know if my scan shows anything?

MommyD, even though you are late why dont you try an early predictor test in case you have your dates mixed up????

Dates spot on - I keep a log.
Already tested negative and so will wait a while for AF to show. I'm sure it will!
Want dh with me when I test.

fisil - I tested -ve yesterday but still no show and I am late, which I am never.
Period pains have got much worse in the last couple of hours, so I am sure AF is about to show.
I have felt sick, clammy and light headed on and off for a week now.

Well Im back and have good news and bad.

Good news is cant find any reason for all the bleeding, no fibroids or poly wotsits, so prob is hormonal Me a woman, with hormone problems, never

Bad news is its way to early to see if im pregnant or not so have to wait till Sat/Sun to test but i have def ovulated so she said i well could be.

So how did u get on then Charlie ?? I'm dying to know.

I am almost convinced now that i'm not pregnant. I have been getting lots of backache like i get just before AF. Having said that I also get it when just pregnant too.

I don't feel sick anymore either. The only weird thing is that I'm getting weird pains in both sides of my stomch, like ovulation pains, but very very mild, just little twinges really.

My fingers are firmly crossed for you Charlie xxxxx
