Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

@Angelmiracle @Firsttimer16 definitely going to stick with it this month, DP says he is happy doing it too so that's good!

I've never temped yet, I think I'd either be inconsistent or do it wrong and panic myself even more!
Might try it if next month doesn't bring a BFP.
@Firsttimer16 it's still early, it's so hard once you've started isn't it! 🤞for BFP soon

8DPO and no symptoms at all (which my head keeps telling me is a good thing as had bad cramps this time last cycle but really don’t want to get my hopes up...)

Hi @Becca444! I'm also 8dpo and ashamed to say tested today (meant to last til Wednesday!) was a bfn as I expected but a little bit still hoped! No symptoms at all here. However I had loads of symptoms last month (sore boobs etc) and it was bfn. The month before I had zero symptoms and for a bfp (which unfortunately was a CP so I'm holding out a tiny bit of hope!!
I think as I've started testing I'll probably just test every day now with IC. I've started to get a bit down thinking about another af. Last week I was full of hope and optimism - this week the realisation that it might be another bfn has returned!

When are you thinking of testing?

I've tested 3 times today. I really shouldn't have bought all those IC tests from eBay 😳
All BFN. AF is due tomorrow so fully expecting it to arrive.

@Becca444 9dpo today. Was so moody yesterday and burning sensation in right boob briefly but ok today! Had way more symptoms last month and very painful AF. I'm supposed to test tomorrow don't know if I have the courage 🙈🤣 @Firsttimer16 I know how you feel with the optimism then the panic of disappointment!

@Noseringgirl fx she doesn't show and surprises you 🤞 any symptoms?

@Firsttimer16 here’s hoping that no symptoms is a good sign! When is AF due? I know what you mean one day I’m convinced it will be my cycle and the next I’m not - it’s such a rollercoaster! I had some light spotting 11DPO (which will be Thursday) last cycle followed by full AF 2 days later so I may test Friday if nothing this time (mainly because I will be drinking Saturday and don’t want to feel guilty...).

@Angelmiracle I know what you mean I want to test so bad to see BFP but will be crushed if it isn’t (and can stay hopeful the longer I don’t test).

Hi Ladies!!! Just like @Becca444 I've been a bit quiet as I try and get through this TWW...I'm so bloody fed up it's unreal!!

I see a few BFN's have cropped up 😕 we need to try and stay positive!! We're not out until AF shows up right...keep testing ladies and we'll all keep thinking sticky for everyone testing in the next couple days!

@Becca444 When are you testing? I think it sounds like we're around the same point with the TWW :)

@Kelsoid I may test Friday as AF due Saturday but will see how I feel then. How about you?

@Angelmiracle mostly my pre AF symptoms of cramping, back pain and irritability. I'm also very tired but that could be the heat and the kids waking me up stupidly early.

@Becca444 ahhh little bit earlier then...AF due Monday/tues for me so was going to test Saturday or Sunday. I'm trying not to feel too optimistic this time around as I've been let down the last two cycles...SMEP and an extra long LH surge has me all silly and excited this month though :) we can't help it!

@Kelsoid I know how you feel can’t help but get carried away after hearing all the SMEP success stories!

I just checked my vanity stand and there are 6 FRERs in it 🤣 I'm worse than I thought!! 5 Clear & Simple, 2 Tesco and 1 crap Boots test - multiple choice?! Oh and 2 Digis when the time comes 🙈

@Angelmiracle impressive! That's quite the collection 😂 I'll admit all I have right now is the cheap HCG pee sticks. I know if I'm to have any hope in detecting anything early I'll need a FRER!!

Another BFN for me this morning and AF is due today so it looks like SMEP hasn't worked for me this month 😢 annoyingly my Ava bracelet isn't syncing today so no idea what my temps etc are doing. Just waiting for AF to make an appearance and feeling sorry for myself.

@TheMagicTorch I think we probably will, DH is away on a stag do at the end of next week though so will be missing a few days but hopefully will still be early enough to not matter.

My plan was to start Friday, which will be CD6 - I told DP we were scheduled to BD on Friday and he sad "But I'm going fishing" 😒 Priorities babe!!

So happy to be seeing BFPs from the SMEP stories - hopefully works for us next month.
