Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

Currently: 9dpo
Planning on testing: 11dpo/Thu 12th July
Using: FRER
Ttc: no 1
Symptoms: trying so hard not to read too much into anything but 'tingly nipples' today and irritable (but that could just be the heat)

Tonight my cat (the less sociable one!) Jumped up on the sofa and nuzzled right up to my side which she did this last month - trying not to be crazy and read too much into it.

@Angelmiracle @NoseringGirl @Firsttimer16 thanks guys!!! Pain in the arse really. We're staying in this big fancy timeshare apartment, maybe we can escape to a disabled bathroom or the spa changing room or something. Ever the classy one 😂 I just don't want to miss this chance!

Symptoms:* none yet as the swimmers haven't even hit the start line! I'm getting mega ovulation pain as of 5 mins ago so seriously hoping my little egg can hold on another 12 or so hours so we have a chance to DTD! I knew missing it last night would bite me in the ass.

@angelmiracle hope it goes really quickly for you! I totally agree, keeping busy is the best solution. I find being at work helps as I’m not tempted to reach for any tests haha! I figured that being disappointed for longer than the window takes to show me the result doesn’t help anyone, just have to keep going! Fingers crossed for you this month, keep me posted :)

I'm 5DPO now (6 according to FF). Feel really sad that I'm not even excited this month I'm just waiting for my period :( last few months I was manically symptom checking etc. I feel like I just know there is something wrong with me and I just know we haven't made a baby. Again. :(

@JustLikeTheySaid 🙁 I'm sorry - it's so hard the waiting and not knowing and wondering why. What cycle are you on now? People keep telling me even perfectly healthy couples can take a year to conceive even with no problems so chances are there's nothing wrong it's just a waiting game.

@JustLikeTheySaid that's such a horrible feeling to have, the moment the hope starts to slip away and TTC stops being fun is an awful one. Is it just a general feeling you have or is there something in particular you're concerned about?

i think my cbfm has missed my surge as the line on the test was dark yesterday at high and is virtually invisible today. it was done with fmu as instructed but nothing. has anyone had this

@Justliketheysaid sorry you’re feeling like this, it can be really hard at times. I find distracting myself with mundane stuff helps. I’m sure your time will come. If it’s any consolation my PMS symptoms ar exactly the same as when I conceived, so don’t always rule out a symptom. The very best of luck to you! (Ps sending a hug!) x

@winterwarmers I think some surges can be really short so maybe it came in afternoon and was gone by morning? Or it may be a surge but didn't reach the level to actually hit the level needed - what cd are you? Would you expect to ov around now,

@dee7409 I counted the next day as the day I actually ovulated coz I'd strong ovary pain so the day after that becomes 1DPO - for you that's tomorrow! 🤞🤞 Good luck!!

@Firsttimer16 cd19 so yes would expect it around now i had a temp drop to 36.21 this morning from 36.44 so hoping it's ovulation dip

@JustLikeTheySaid I feel like that! Dh is waiting on SA appointment and I just think he'll have to do it and we'll be back with gyanecologist to "discuss our options" I would love a BFP before it comes to that and cancel all appointments!!

I'm 3dpo and v sore boobs - I know it's basically physically impossible to have pregnant symptoms this early but does it stop my mind going crazy! 🙄🙄

Still getting a strong positive today... Does this means that I ovulate today for sure or I can get a positive and not ovulate. I was feeling some ov cramps I think yesterday, but I am feeling the same thing today on the same side.. Is this possible 🙆

Hi @dee7409 I believe you can get a surge without actually ovulating - but chances are you'll ovulate today / tomorrow. I had strong positives for 2 days too then died right down. Apparently the key day is the first day you get a positive, and so you dtd 3 days in a row from that first positive.

I know what you mean about symptoms, your mind goes crazy.
I feel really sick today, but I think it's just anxiety about testing/waiting for my FRER to come.

so with no positive yet me and dh actually dtd 2 days in a row so hopefully if i did miss peak i'm covered will keep testing for now
