CALLING ALL YAMMER'S!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

@SoozC. I'm trying to avoid sugar 😂. I've read that PCOS is made worse with sugar consumption so I am trying to stay as sugar free as possible Sad I've got an out of hours appointment, I felt bad asking for one but I explained to the guy on the phone what was possibly going on and that I had a temperature and he said to get seen to. I've taken some paracetamol to try and bring it down a bit.

Soz to piss on your fireworks Sooz but I'm pretty sure the cranberry theory was debunked. Lots of fluids always good to flush it through though. My sisterly sympathies though, UTIs are the worst. Urgency+frequency+pain = one of God's crap jokes.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 11:49

@WonkyDonk87. The pain never bothers me but the frequency and urgency are a massive pain! My bladder can be a pain in the ass at the best of times - I'm a frequent pee'er lol so having to go MORE often is Angry

I have just seen your test on another post @LookingAtTheStars89 - that is totally a line. Massive congrats to you! 😍

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 16:17

I don't have a UTI, I had some ketones so I need to eat and drink more.

@bridget33. Thank you! I'm kind of dumb struck!

@LookingAtTheStars89 that's good news. Keep yourself hydrated in this heat!

OrcinusOrca · 03/06/2018 17:23

Oh wow I nearly missed your BFP @LookingAtTheStars89 ! Fingers crossed for a darker line when you retest.

Sorry to hear you've had such a rotten day @nearlysummer2018 I hope you've had a better time of it today.

Hope you feel better soon @Paranormalbouquet especially for Friday

@HidCat thank you. Blue eggs taste just the same as normal eggs to me! Nicer for being laid by my chookies though as I am clearly biased Grin

I am CD16 today and looks like my surge is starting, that didn't happen til CD21 last time. I'm taking 50mg B6 and planning to up it to 100mg post O in an attempt to combat luteal phase spotting/shortness. Just hoping I don't get FP on CD20 something!

ronswansonstache · 03/06/2018 19:01

Jumping on the new thread, although I've been taking a back seat from MN and the conception threads recently - it hasn't been doing my mental health any good! Cycle 27 here. I think I'm trying to come to terms with it not happening & visualise a different future.

Congrats for the recent Bfps all!

FairyAnn · 03/06/2018 19:42

AF has arrived. FFS! This will be cycle 18 next.

Chooklass · 03/06/2018 21:33

Sorry @FairyAnn - hope you treat yourself to something lovely. I'm due FP in 3ish days and from usual symptoms she's defo on the way ... again.

LexieJean · 03/06/2018 22:29

Whoop @looking! Congrats! That’s fantastic! Here’s wishing you a happy healthy uneventful 9months.

@para so glad to hear you’re doing well, although sounds like your recovery is going to be horrid. Be gentle with yourself, let us know how everything goes with your scan on Friday. Keeping 🤞

Hope you’re doing ok @ronswan It’s a total head fuck TTC. I’ve actually stopped counting my cycles- I lost track around 23/24 and it was too depressing.

inquisitivebadger · 03/06/2018 22:32

Hi everyone,
Hope I'm ok to hop on - only just past the 6 month mark and appreciate that really isn't very long (and if I didn't appreciate it- I would soon given the regularity with which I'm told!) Finding it hard - every month I try not to build my hopes up but those hopes just keep getting built anyway! Doesn't help that there're 3 pregnant ladies at work at the mo and 2 have just had babies. FP arrived this evening. Not enjoying the double whammy of misery and stomach cramps... Apologies for the whiny first message!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 22:32

@LexieJean. Thanks :-)

@Chooklass. Don't count yourself out yet! I had/have all the usual FP symptoms - insomnia, spots, bloating, teary eyed - the lot. Fingers crossed for you x

@FairyAnn. Sorry FP got you x x

Aaarg, yammers! I did a frer this morning (11dpo-ish) and it just keeps catching my eye! Faintest ever line, maybe. Guess I'll just have to wait and do another one in a couple of days. I've never seen anything but completely unavoidable stark white on a frer before so it's difficult not to get excited. Wah!

@Chooklass exciting!! Hopefully a nice BFP in a couple of days from you

Hi @inquisitivebadger, that must be really tough. People I know via other people keep getting pregnant and it feels like it's just me left sorry FP arrived for you and @FairyAnn

I'm stressed at the moment which I think will write this cycle off, despite getting a positive OPK this morning on CD18 which is three days early than last cycle. I had a wrist problem which seemed to go away and is now back, it's SO painful and just getting worse. DH got me to grip his arm with each hand and he said the grip on my left hand is about 20% of that of my right which is rather worrying, it clearly never recovered as much as I thought it had. I keep thinking I've got something in my grip then dropping it. I play piano and am panicking about long term wrist instability and arthritis. Moaning to my hearts content because I know you'll all let me!

HidCat · 04/06/2018 08:18

@OrcinusOrca I'd get your wrist looked at so that you can start any possible treatment ASAP.

@inquisitivebadger and @FairyAnn I'm sorry your period arrived. Looks like it got me too this month as spotting is now getting heavier.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 04/06/2018 10:33

@Chooklass Fingers crossed for you x x

@chooklass 🤞for you. Have you tested again yet?!

Chooklass · 04/06/2018 11:33

Eek - no, but just cleaned out my Boots points buying frers 😂. Scared to test again incase it's not there! Will probably wait until tomorrow 1st thing now. I've had far less spotting than usual this month but apart from that nothing different. Can't concentrate on work!

LexieJean · 04/06/2018 12:29

I’m sure you can’t @chooklass! It will be a loooong day for you.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 04/06/2018 12:30

@Chooklass I bet the owners of FRER are laughing all the way to the bank! I would why the tests have all different hcg measures? Do you think it cost more to make a more sensitive one?

Has anyone seen @bubblegum89 or @owlpatrol? They've been quiet for a bit x
