CALLING ALL YAMMER'S!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Ive managed to lose around 1.5 stone since November. Hasn’t helped much with the TTC but I do feel so much better, confidence wise, and I think it has helped with the libido! I’m not a proper diet bore though, if I fancy a Chinese and sharing pack of maltesers to myself then I will treat myself from time to time!! I’m not a nice person to be around if I completely cut out naughty things!!! And I figure life is too short

HidCat · 02/06/2018 07:51

@LookingAtTheStars89 and @Pinkemi I hope you manage to work through this. I've lost half a stone recently by cutting out the snacking and eating less bread so don't lose hope. I gained a stone during my pregnancy/miscarriage so feeling a bit better now.

LexieJean · 02/06/2018 09:55

@orcinus I love your chooks! They’re gorgeous. I’d love to have some but we’re in London and lucky to have any outside space at all but it’s not big enough for chickens. Tomatoes and cucumbers I’m hoping.

Haha! @sooz I used to have the same thing in our old place- a tiny patch of lawn and the landlady refused to get a new mower so it would be all patchy and wonky!

Good work in the gardens all you yammers this weekend- hopefully the crazy thunderstorms are done.

@si1ver I would have been furious too! Hope everything is progressing well for you.

Sorry about the bfn @june I trust you had a good night out with plenty of drinking!!

@wonky how are you finding your acupuncture? I’m still sceptical but after 4 months I really feel different- my whole mindset to TTC has shifted. It’s still shit, and I still get sad when FP shows up but somehow I’m less obsessed. Less stressed perhaps? I feel like she has really opened me up (it’s like a weekly therapy session) and calmed me down. As we’ve pushed back our ivf attempt I’m going to continue with the acupuncture for a few more months I think.

WonkyDonk87 · 02/06/2018 17:14

My garden's a tip but I'm rather proud of this beauty.

I'm rather sold on the acupuncture now, despite being normally very cynical. Today's offerings have included some very wok stuff with Chinese herbs but, in for a penny in for a pound and all that!

WonkyDonk87 · 02/06/2018 17:15

That should say 'very woo stuff' but apparently my autocorrect is a bit racist Blush

nearlysummer2018 · 02/06/2018 20:39

Place marking. Had a horrific day today so just want somewhere safe to forget it. Nothing to do with ttc just the worst day ever.

WonkyDonk87 · 02/06/2018 21:07

@nearlysummer2018 Thanks You ok?

nearlysummer2018 · 02/06/2018 21:19

@WonkyDonk87 I crashed my husbands car. No one was hurt at all but he shouted at me and told me his kids could have been killed and they all went to hospital and he said they would need psychological help now to get in the car again. I know he was shocked and angry but it made it a million times worse 😢 I admitted fault and gave the wife all my details. She was driving the other car and was fine with me but he was screaming and shouting.

WonkyDonk87 · 02/06/2018 21:41

Oh god that's awful. Your husband behaved like an arse and his comments about the kids needing psychological help is bollocks. Do you think he'll have calmed a bit by morning? Are you home now?

HidCat · 02/06/2018 21:53

@nearlysummer2018 blimey, I'm glad everyone is ok. Sounds like your husband when straight into protection mode, I hope he's calmed down.

nearlysummer2018 · 02/06/2018 23:08

Sorry. That should have said the man in the other car. My husband was at the football which is where I'd need dropping him off. It was just myself and my son in our car and the husband in the other car was going spare at me. MY husband said he is playing for an insurance claim and to ignore it.

WonkyDonk87 · 02/06/2018 23:27

Ah. That makes sense now I've re-read your post again. I think your DH is right. At best the bloke had poor impulse/emotional regulation, but yeah not out of the realm of possibility he's edging for a claim. Fucker. I hate any road-rage, even someone swearing at me makes my heart speed up and adrenaline rush.

Hope you're home safe with some Gin

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 02:12

Ladies...I know you're all asleep but I think I just got my VFL and fingers crossed bfp! Shock I told DH and he was less than convinced and said it wasn't dark enough Hmm and I should "Do one in a few days"

Hi Yammers! I’ve been lurking lately!

Tentative congrats Looking, fingers crossed it sticks.

Had scan on Thursday, made it to 11weeks amazingly and my haematoma was shrinking. Had my cervix surgery on Friday. Surgeon kindly described my cervix as shredded! I’m back home, trying to hobble about. It’s a big wound, about 2 inch’s longer than c-section scar. And obviously being pregnant pain relief options are limited but I’m coping. Just hoping baby survives it all and it works. Meant to have 12 week scan on Friday. Not sure how they’ll manage scan if I’m still this sore!

Paranormalbouquet · 03/06/2018 06:39

Inches obviously

WonkyDonk87 · 03/06/2018 07:00

Gah! Looking mine's just the same - any emotion from me is usually met with cold hard logic. (He's usually right but that's not what I needed at the time!). Tentative congrats and a rustle of the Pom poms Grin

Para I'm so pleased to hear you've got to 11 weeks! Hope you're not too sore. Lots of rest for you, no housework and junk telly is def in order!

Nearlysummer I hope you're feeling better this morning.

Chooklass · 03/06/2018 07:08

@LookingAtTheStars89 !!!! Got everything crossed - so exciting!

Really glad to hear things are still going well @Paranormalbouquet - was wondering how you were getting on x

HidCat · 03/06/2018 07:43

@LookingAtTheStars89 I really hope so! Did you test again today or are you going to wait a day or two?

@Paranormalbouquet my gosh that's a lot to go through. Wishing you and baby a speedy recovery.

SoozC · 03/06/2018 08:24

Oh, Looking, great news! Everything crossed for you!

LimpLettice · 03/06/2018 08:57

Looking! Fingers, toes and other extremities crossed. When are you testing again?

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 10:07

Thanks ladies. I'm trying to remain on the fence lol and stoic (is that how you spell it) the slight waves of nausea aren't helping with that though. I can usually literally feel my temperature drop before FP but if anything I feel physically warmer. I'm not going to lie, I scrolled ahead on the calendar to figure out a theoretical EDD and it's almost bang on the same as my 11 year old DD 😂😂 That will probably make her a bit grumpy!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 10:09

I didn't have any more tests to do fmu but I'm going to do another later and tomorrow. I don't know why I peed on a FRER at 2am 😂 it just seemed like a good idea at the time.

Checking in too from the Land Down Under 🇦🇺

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 10:59

Sad I'm fairly sure I have a bloody UTI! I'm just on hold with 111, it might be nothing but i don't want to risk anything. I know it sounds silly bit now a bfp seems like it could be a reality, I feel absolutely shit scared!
