Can't quite believe I've just written that title...after a lot of indecision DH and I have decided to see where fate takes us. So we're not obsessively trying, but I know generally when I ovulate so we'll DTD around that time. Tbh we're still not 100% convinced we'd cope with three, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.

I've been thinking about it constantly and our ages mean it's now or never. We adore our 2 DC's and if that's what we're meant to have we'll be very happy, but if fate has other ideas, we're up for the challenge!

About to start AF and then off we go Smile

Sorry about that @Megs87 xx

Anyday88 · 04/07/2018 19:04

I got my bfp this morning!

Although very cautious after my mc in April but it looks like number 3 is on the way 😊

How is everyone else getting on?

Anyone else trying for DC3?!
Megs87 · 04/07/2018 19:25

Congratulations @Anyday88 amazing news!

@NoseringGirl they couldn't offer much other than its either a one off early cycle or an early MC, they have taken bloods and I have to monitor then they will review bloods early next week.

Megs87 · 04/07/2018 19:27

@Anyday88 isn't it your anniversary today? If so what an amazing anniversary present xx

Anyday88 · 04/07/2018 19:33

@Megs87 it is our anniversary! 😊😊

UntilTheVeryEnd · 04/07/2018 20:02

Congratulations @Anyday88 that’s such fantastic news! Do stay with us and keep us updated with your progress! I just love seeing the positive tests... so exciting!

Sorry to hear that the doctors weren’t too helpful @Megs87 - hopefully your bloods will show something more conclusive.

Only 13 days now til coil removal Grin can’t come soon enough - plan to jump DH as soon as the appointment is over!

LittleTipple · 04/07/2018 22:39

Woohoo! Massive congratulations @Anyday88. I told you it could be a BFP in a few days Grin So pleased for you and gives us all hope.

Wow @UntilTheVeryEnd I remember you saying coil removal was 5 weeks away, the time has flown by (although not for you I'm sure)!

Congrats @anyday88. Not feeling hopeful this month

Wingingit3211 · 06/07/2018 07:15

@meg87 we are coming into month 8 too after ds1&2 wereconcieved straigjt away so I can definitely understand your frustration. I really thought I’d have a big bump by now

LittleTipple · 06/07/2018 09:49

Sorry you're not feeling it @Wingingit3211. I completely understand as DC1 took 18 months. Every month got harder and harder. We just kept the faith and on the month when we were on holiday, relaxed and not charting, we brought a bit of extra luggage home with us!

I'd like a third but so many practical things are putting me off. Like the fact I had HG with the first two for the entire 9 months each, was in and out of hospital, and on antidepressants with the second pregnancy because of it.

We live abroad from both our countries, so we're completely on our own for childcare. It is expensive and difficult to juggle with 2, let alone 3. Plane tickets for 5 when coming home to visit grandparents or traveling (we love traveling) will be expensive.

I'm between jobs and actively looking for something new, so getting pregnant now would bugger that up.

Hmmmmmm

LittleTipple · 06/07/2018 14:50

Hi @DeltaG, from what you say I can see why you're finding it hard to decide. My practical concerns were cars, bedrooms etc which are all fairly easy to sort. However issues regarding your health and finances do require more thought. I'd say if you're really feeling a third in your heart, if you'd regret not trying and you can't imagine life without a third, then you should seriously consider if it could work. However if you're happy with life with two, keeping life easier for yourself is no bad thing! Practical things still concern me, but I really feel that our family isn't complete yet and if we aren't successful, I'll always know we tried.

@LittleTipple I know, you were so right 😊😊

How is everyone else going?

Thanks @Wingingit3211 hope you are ok!

Megs87 · 07/07/2018 09:59

@Wingingit3211 exactly the same, we have a wedding in August and we were going to see how far along I was before deciding. Just seems so crazy that the first 2 were a doddle and this one is just taking it's time. I am hoping by not thinking about it this month and taking the month off that I will be a lot less worried

Great line @Anyday88

@DeltaG welcome, really hope you come to a decision that works for you all. Health and financial worries definitely take a lot more thought to work through xx

Wingingit3211 · 08/07/2018 20:33

Cd24 and I’m spotting, probably my period.
My cycles are all over the place I really don’t even know if I’m ovulating :(

Anyone else trying for DC3?!
PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 08/07/2018 20:41

I’ve found my people!

I am presently in limbo at 3 days late with a period usually like clockwork and about 50 negative pregnancy tests in the bin.

We were going to start for #3 in October 2019 but have brought it forward now as we had a contraceptive free bonk a couple of weeks ago and found we weren’t panic struck at the concept of 17months between DC2 and 3.

We also have a DD who is 2.5.

Can you tell I’m nudging 40?!

Anyday88 · 08/07/2018 20:54

@Wingingit3211 have you tried temping? I've never done it but from reading it seems that is the way to confirm ovulation.

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut oooh I hope it all works out and you get your positive test soon. I will have an almost 4 year old, 2 year old and baby when this one arrives 🙈

Wingingit3211 · 08/07/2018 21:09

I’ve not tried @anyday88 maybe I should never month

NoseringGirl · 09/07/2018 10:46

How are all the car shoppers doing? We've just bought a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso. It's not ready yet but I'm excited (and a bit scared of driving something so massive). We also looked at the Ford S-Max and a couple of VWs but much preferred the Citroen. We've got some nice extras like the reversing cameras and the kids have trays at the back. Particularly excited about the entirely unnecessary seat massage function! The most important thing is that there's 3 isofix seats and plenty of room for us.

@Wingingit3211 I used to have cycles quite similar to that. One short then one long. I think I was sometimes ovulating on the shorter ones but the longer ones were anovulatory.

Wingingit3211 · 09/07/2018 11:52

@noseringgirl yeah I thought that. Maybe I have one duff ovary?! No sign of period today so who knows what’s going on. Bloody pcos. At least it’s summer and I can drink, and I’m still young (30) so I have time on my side. Just frustrating

NoseringGirl · 09/07/2018 12:30

Plenty of time @Wingingit3211! PCOS is a pain in the arse though. I'm 35 and this is the first time since I came off birth control in 2011 that I've had regular cycles. I'm constantly worrying that my body will suddenly stop working again though. I've had one anovulatory cycle since I started tracking a few months ago and I was convinced my PCOS was winning again. Seems to have been a one off though! I definitely recommend temping to get a better idea of if and when you're ovulating.

Wingingit3211 · 09/07/2018 12:39

Do you do anything to control you pcos @noseringgirl? I’ve heard lots of things like
Low GI diet and weight loss can help but my bmi is 20 so that’s not going to help me. I don’t look like I have pcos, none of the other symptoms just stupid periods! It does make me wonder whether any of the diets or supplements would help or not .

NoseringGirl · 09/07/2018 12:47

I watch my carb intake and loosely follow low GI. I was very strict with low GI when TTC DS2 and also had metformin. It seems under better control since then. I reckon my sugar intake was too high during that anovulatory month recently and it had an impact.
How were you diagnosed with PCOS? Might be worth trying low GI, I think you can still have the insulin resistance which has the knock on effect with your hormones even if you're a healthy weight.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 09/07/2018 13:20

Ah yes, hello AF.

MONDAY.
