Thanks ladies. Off to buy a bumper pack of white knickers today!

Sorry to hear about your line @KnitKitty. Hopefully it's just a slow developer and your not out til the fat AF arrives.

@HidCat fingers crossed for you.

@Boboelephant sounds like you have done everything you can this month. Fingers crossed for you too.

@Yukka sorry to hear your on number 3. So hope you catch a break soon.

YellowDaffodils86 · 02/06/2018 10:38

@Boboelephant fingers crossed this month.
I hope you get +opk today!
I think i will be a good 5-7 days behind you this month.
A JKS week was meant to commence last night but my dh and i both met with friends separately, and when i came home he was fast asleep sitting up phone in hand with his finger still on the screen!😂out for the count!!

@L1zz13 im approaching fw, according to app it starts tomorrow. We may twin up this month!

@SerenaOverjoyed book your holiday, will give you something to look forward too and time to relax. Can you move it forward a few days? Im in exactly the same predicament actually. We have dates set but not booked it yet, and af will arrive within the first few days🤨

@Pancakes7 woop woop hands up for kent! Im in kent too!
I hope you manage to have a nice time at the wedding, sorry you are having to go through this.
I understand your anxiety of being on your own, you may feel a bit stronger in 2 weeks though. Its still early days for you.

@KnitKitty i do like control, but thought id try something different this morning.
Im grateful that i have the opportunity to do so. Doesn't mean its all over yet, surely, fx crossed af stays away and a sticky bean is in there getting snuggly.

@TedLife its good af has arrived it shows everything is re setting in a way.
I completely understand what you are saying, i feel the same. It has changed things, and the way you look at things.

@hayleyfx i hope everything goes well over next few weeks. Try to relax and enjoy but i know that is hard.

@maxiflump1 ah bless you, that story made me smile, not that you are worried , but just being able to relate to it, i understand how you are feeling.
You have a good strong line, thats good! Focus on that and think positive. 🤞🤞

@sweetpea0318 ah sorry its all getting stressful, I guess we forget they need to 'perform' a bit more than we do. I hope you feel better today and you can make up for it this morning.

YellowDaffodils86 · 02/06/2018 10:40

@Boboelephant i just realised you would already have a pos opk🙄but you know what i mean! 😂hope a nice fertile eggy is on the way down!

sweetpea0318 · 02/06/2018 10:54

Morning all, so made up with OH this morning but can't shake the totally gutted feeling - we only dtd once a day before ov so with my track record I'm pretty sure that's me out but hey, let's see what happens. At least I know I'm ovulating in the same pattern as pre-mc.

@knitkitty @hidcat keeping fingers crossed for you both.

@MrsLCW @yukka very sorry you're having a rough time. Sending you virtual hugs.

RedRobin7 · 02/06/2018 10:57

Morning ladies - just woken up in Canada and wanted to check on you all! Desperate for the loo and about to start doing my OPKs (forgot yesterday with the stress of finishing my packing!) but wanted to catch up first!!

So many messages again!

@KnitKitty Was thinking of you yesterday. I'm keeping everything crossed for you as it's still possible the line will get darker.

@sweetpea0318 You're not alone, this happens regularly between me and my DH as we have been trying on and off for two years. He's definitely feeling the pressure and doesn't want to JKS on cue 🙈 He knows I'm about to entire FW and we've agreed to try not to argue but... famous last words and all that! Hope you're feeling better today.

@maxiflump1 Sorry you're so anxious but it's understandable. Do try to relax though as it's a long road ahead xx

@Laney79 How are you doing today?

@Pancakes7 Let us know how you got on. It's always hard to throw yourself in the deep end. I had to go away with work 2 weeks after my MMC and I spent a lot of the time avoiding people and it was quite awkward but I survived it. I hope you will have lots of distractions and it'll be okay.

@Boboelephant Keeping everything crossed for you!

@TedLife Glad it's not just me who forgets it all. Just been going back through the posts but my bladder is about to burst so that will have to do 😂😂

First full day on holiday today... bittersweet as we booked this the day of my surgery to cheer us up. Want to enjoy it but feeling sad we shouldn't really be here. Also anxious about missing the FW this week but there's no way I'm going to wait another month so just got to hope DH will work with me on this. Speaking of which, just been told I'm ignoring him...!

Laney79 · 02/06/2018 11:20

Sorry ladies-I'm struggling to keep up!

@KnitKitty I'm keeping everything crossed for you-that line WILL darken if it's down to positive thought-so I'm going to be thinking nice dark thick lines for you.

@RedRobin7 enjoy Canada! One of the places on my list-always wanted to see Vancouver.

Thanks again for all your reassurance. Trying not to worry about what's happening-still bleeding a fair bit on the loo but v little on pads. Passed another small bit of grey tissue today so thinking maybe the sac has been floating about collapsing all this time, and that with first AF (which I'm now assuming this is) it's all coming away. I took a baby aspirin this morn as I have swollen ankles and one of my leg veins was very up (my ma has blood issues and varicose veins/prone to thrombosis so I'm always nervous!) but that seems to have helped thin what I'm losing a little. It's bloomin hot here so caved and used a tampon so I could swim-bliss!

So hoping the beer/cocktails/sunshine/relaxation will sort me out physically as well as mentally.

Attached is a pic of my lunchtime view...and yes, that beer is all mine! Beer is good for iron levels...right? Wink

RedRobin7 · 02/06/2018 11:36

Thanks @Laney79 😊 We are in Toronto but Vancouver is next on the list if we have another MC! Got to find some way to be happy.

Sorry to hear you're still passing tissue. It's horrendous and so unfair. Hopefully this is your period now and you'll stop bleeding soon. My first period was 8 days long and second was 7 days (usually 5 or 6) so you might feel like it's going on forever. I remember feeling so pleased to not have periods whilst pregnant but after the MC I bled enough for the whole year!

This may be a stupid question but I see a lot of doctors suggest taking aspirin when pregnant if you've had a MC but what is baby aspirin compared to a normal aspirin?

MrsGS76 · 02/06/2018 12:27

@sweetpea0318 so sorry about your fight , it's taken me ages to convince my DH to Jane another baby and it's felt like at times I thought we were on day different paths but eventually he came round and realised how important it was to me. Good luck xx
@KnitKitty , have you tried the digital tests? The are sometimes more effective than the lines? If it's barely a line, it may mean there's still a chance? X And what's FRER? Please x
@MrsLCW , oh dear , I've not tested that early before, I agree with @HidCat and wait till your AF is meant to be due x fx!
@maxiflump1 yep white knickers all the way!!! I'm going to grab some soon too.
@Yukka so sorry too that you're on number three! Sending you hugs and love!
@YellowDaffodils86 hilarious about your DH last night, I've warned my DH to be on standby from about Tues next week for a week of JKS and his face was priceless! You'd think I asked him to run a marathon each day, instead I only need him for a few mins every day!!

Good luck to all those JKS and keep the DH/OH stories coming!

Laney79 · 02/06/2018 12:28

@RedRobin7 ooh Toronto-nice! Enjoy!
Thanks for the info too about length of AF-already feels like a long time for a heavy flow (mine are normally heavy for two days and then Peter put, gone by day 6).
Baby aspirin is a 75mg dose-rather than standard 300mg dose. I've always taken it when going on planes etc due to getting swollen feet. Not that it does much to stop that. Did ask my GP if I should take it if I'm lucky enough to fall pregnant again-she advised caution. Apparently not enough research to support it during TTC/first 12 weeks but they do give it after that to help with pre eclampsia risk. Have to admit I'm still tempted to take it if I do catch again. The nurse at the EPAU suggested I spoke to doc about it. X

RedRobin7 · 02/06/2018 12:39

@MrsGS76 Just read out your comment about your DH to my DH and you should have seen his face 🤨 I thought sharing others stories would help him realise it's not just him and that he just needs to get on with it like the others do. He's a lost cause! 🙈 I'm just going to pounce on him when the time comes. Luckily for him the digital and IC were both negative today so he's got another day of rest today. It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow so I'm hoping that's the first of our JKS sessions!

@Laney79 Ah okay it refers to the dose. That makes a lot more sense now. Thanks for explaining! I think we will try again as we are and if it happens again I'll speak to the Dr about aspirin. Really hoping that the statistics are in my favour for the next time though. I struggled to believe the pros when they all said the same thing like it was memorised, "Miscarriage is common, it's nothing you've done, statistically it won't happen again... blah blah blah"... but now I have to be positive and try to believe that for my own sanity!

HidCat · 02/06/2018 13:07

@KnitKitty I did spot a week before when I had the implant in but not all the time and it was red, not the pink watery discharge I've had. Wednesday sounds like a plan though I won't hold it against you if you test before 😂

@YellowDaffodils86 I hope you took a picture of your OH like that! brilliant!

@sweetpea0318 the day before ov is perfect timing so here's hoping everything clicked regardless. Glad you're all made up now.

@Laney79 you sound so much more positive. That beer is obviously doing the trick. Keep enjoying yourself but keep an eye on those unusual symptoms.

YellowDaffodils86 · 02/06/2018 13:19

@Laney79 lovely view! Enjoy.

@RedRobin7 ah always wanted to go to Canda, hope you have an amazing time, despite the reason for booking.

@MrsGS76 haha on standby!

@HidCat ha oh yes, i took a few, i then decided to write 'dick' on his forehead with eyeliner, which he saw in the mirror this morning when he got up. I sat in bed waiting for him to make the discovery, laughing to myself like a naughty child. Cant be a boring grown up all the time! 😂

HidCat · 02/06/2018 15:17

@YellowDaffodils86 Brilliant! 🤣🤣🤣

Gratefulninja · 02/06/2018 19:17

Hi 👋
I’m new so hope it’s okay to join :-)

First pregnancy just ended in a MMc this week so feeling a bit all over the shop atm and tbh just want to get back to normal :-)

We want to start trying right away (I know
that might seem soon as I only mc on Tuesday but I had known myself that the pregnancy was over for a few weeks). We are young and healthy so the doctor said it all looks fine for the next pregnancy...fingers crossed.

Bit worried about how long my body will take to go back to normal (tmi but stop bleeding etc) also my mc seemed to happen very quickly (light bleeding for 3 days then medication brought sudden severe cramps and clots etc for an hour now back to light bleeding) so not sure if it is definitely complete? Got to go back for a scan in two weeks to check. Anyone else feel like a TV scan is now part of their weekly routine? 🙈 I don’t even feel embarrassed anymore!

Boboelephant · 02/06/2018 19:31

Thanks @maxiflump1. I hope so!
@YellowDaffodils86 I actually haven't gotten a positive opk yet so no ovulation today. The last couple of months I've had a 12 hour surge so I either get the positive late at night or early the next morning and then ovulate that day. I was expecting it to be positive today because of temps and cm but not yet. I'll test before bed and see what temp does tomorrow. I feel like it's soon though. Haha your post made me laugh!! So something I would do! 🤣🤣🤣
@sweetpea0318 fx it's enough! For lots of people here it only takes one!
@RedRobin7 ooh enjoy your holiday! I know it's bittersweet but hopefully you guys can relax and jks away! I find fw much easier on holiday- afternoon delight and all that 😉
@Laney79 looks gorgeous! Enjoy those beers!! You definitely deserve it. Hope the bleeding stops asap. My gynae consultant was also a bit cautious about the baby aspirin fyi.
@HidCat sounds promising!!
Good luck to everyone who is coming up to jks week! Tell those DH of yours that they are living the dream and they should enjoy it now!

KnitKitty · 02/06/2018 19:53

I'm out. Bleeding started.

Short cycle for me, only 29 days.

Trying not to over-think things and just keep up with the positive thoughts and pretend like this hasn't happened. If I hadn't tested so stupidly early I wouldn't have even known. Lesson learned.

Thanks for all the kind messages.

HidCat · 02/06/2018 19:55

@Gratefulninja so sorry that you're having to go through this. I understand completely the desire to start trying again straight away. The main indicator is your hcg levels. You could try doing a pregnancy test and if it's negative you should be good to go, unless your doc tells you otherwise.

hayleyfx · 02/06/2018 19:55

@YellowDaffodils86 thank you! Trying to stay as optimistic as possible 😊

@KnitKitty oh I’m so sorry! Sending you lots of hugs ❤️

Boboelephant · 02/06/2018 20:10

@Gratefulninja welcome and I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully the scan gives you the all clear so you can start ttc asap. This is a lovely supportive group.

@KnitKitty oh no. I'm so sorry!!! Put your feet up and have a glass of wine. We're all here for you xx

HidCat · 02/06/2018 20:19

@KnitKitty sorry I missed your post earlier. I hope you're ok. So sorry this happened.

maxiflump1 · 02/06/2018 20:21

Aw @KnitKitty I'm so sorry to hear this. Big hugs to you and a big glass of something alcoholic tonight WineThanks

MrsGS76 · 02/06/2018 20:25

@RedRobin7 Happy Anniversary to you tomorrow and enjoy celebrating with lots of baby dancing! I'm CD7 tomorrow so I'm going to start using the OPK 's so fingers crossed for the forthcoming week x Stop ignorIng your hubby and get into the mood!
@Laney79 fabulous view! Enjoy all you can and definitely beer is good for you , ha ha xx
@YellowDaffodils86 yes defo on standby, I'm sure last time we conceived was 'quickly' before I went on a night shift!! Good choice of words to write on DH head, a pic would have been priceless!!
@sweetpea0318 Fx for you this month that the POS (pre ovulation shag) works!
@YellowDaffodils86 Good luck for JKS starting tonight, no phones allowed!! X
@Gratefulninja So sorry for your loss, hopefully soon when all bleeding is stopped, you can start TTC again, fx for you . As you've said, you're young and healthy and it's cruel this has happened to you xx sending you virtual hugs xx
@Boboelephant I'm starting to use the OPK's tomorrow but it's a s to use first morning urine (clear blue ones) but reading your post you seem to do another one in the night? I hadn't realised you could have a different reading during the day so I'm going to do it more than once a day x fx for you xx
@KnitKitty Sending you the hugest virtual hug! Think a glass of something is needed for you ta night xx

Question to all ... I've read several posts a re. Hot baths/showers , I thought that only referred to the men? Are we not supposed to enjoy this - she says currently soaking in a hot bath?? Xx

Blondcat · 02/06/2018 20:39

@knitkitty so sorry Flowers

@gratefulninja sorry for your loss and welcome to the group.

@mrsgs76 I think the hot baths are meant to be avoided in the tww not really sure why. I know in early pregnancy you are not meant to get too hot which is why people say to avoid them. I don't have a bath that often anyway so doesn't really bother me. I am sure someone else will give you more on it though.

Boboelephant · 02/06/2018 20:39

@MrsGS76 it depends on what the instructions are for different brands. I use the cheapie ones off Amazon and they say not to use fmu. So I often do an evening one when I start using them and then when I think ovulation is about to happen I do about 3 a day. It does say to try and do them the same time each day and I notice they do fluctuate in colour a bit during the day. Interestingly the darkest positives I've ever seen where the lines match have always been the ones about 11pm. I think the CB ones might be more sensitive so you may only need to do once a day. With opks usually once you've gotten a positive you ovulate 12-48 hours after. I have a short surge and am defi in the 12 hour category so that's a other reason I don't only test once a day. Good luck to you!

PassTheAfterEights · 02/06/2018 20:43

Good attitude @KnitKitty but sorry to read your update 😘

@MrsGS76 there is a fabled list of tips for the 2ww that includes avoiding hot baths / hot tubs (and raw veg!) between conception & implantation - very unclear how much proven research sits behind it but it did originate from a gp during fertility struggles. From memory it also included a cup of pineapple daily (including as much core as possible, for the bromelain (?!)) and a few other bits. Can probably dig it out if anyone's interested. BUT also a big school of thought that you keep living your life (said nursing a glass of Cotes de Rhône) x
