@penguingirl the reliable thing for me has been the cervical mucus being stretchy like egg whites (not to be confused with real egg whites - but that was another thread). You can try using opks, they're cheap enough on Amazon to start with but don't work for everyone. Also, if your sleep patterns are regular you could try monitoring your body temperature. Lots of ladies on here are great with that!

Cats make everything better! Hope everyone has been having a nice bank holiday!

@RedRobin7 thanks for your kind words , You were strong to have the surgical procedure but I'm sure comforted by the fact your other half was there - brave both of you!! after some small stringy brown bits yesterday I've only spotted a bit today. Was hoping it was my first AF after MC so I can start planning again! Good luck to all the ladies on here, definitely feeling the positivity be vibes . Only thing I'm not looking forward to when being pregnant again is being referred to as being geriatric!! Anyone else being referred to as that by midwife?? I'm only 42 !! Not 82!! Xx

HidCat · 27/05/2018 18:21

@DaisyMay25 those cats are gorgeous! So jealous right now!

@MrsGS76 Geriatric! Harsh! I'd seen a thread on here labelled as geriatric but assumed it was tongue in cheek.

YellowDaffodils86 · 27/05/2018 18:23

@Boboelephant sorry you have been feeling down. Its hard when milestones occur. Lanterns sound nice. You never know what the next month will hold. I know i seems like its an up hill battle, bu nobody has said never ever. Focus on the fact that you every chance, and it will be your turn.
I signed up to SlimmingWorld yesterday and plan to get back to swimming etc. Fed up with the winter pounds iv packed on. I do feel that im taken comfort in eating lately too.
So fitter healthy and pregnant sound like good goals!

@hayleyfx What a line. Congratulations xx

@Jessabean Still time.

@RedRobin7 its hard when everyone seems pregnant around you. Hope u have a nice holiday. Its nice you can use MN to help with things. Hope you have felt better today

strawberrye · 27/05/2018 18:49

@MrsGS76 geriatric pregnancy is a rather old fashioned term for pregnancy aged >35 years - I'm sure the midwife didn't mean to offend but not the most sensitive turn of phrase!

MrsGS76 · 27/05/2018 19:53

@HidCat - real quote written on my notes! Last baby was at 37 and I don't remember them making too much of a fuss with me!
@strawberrye - yep I realise MW was not meaning to be rude , I was going to enjoy the extra attention xxx

Reading these posts I've learnt so much about EWCM & CM , I never thought of tracking it. I tracked my temp last time but this timewith all my new knowledge , I'm going to do everything! It's so informative reading 'real life' stories about how we all ovulate and conceive etc without having to google everything!!

Also as much as I'm trying to be good with eating, exercise etc , if I slip I feel bad?
Anyone else feel as though if you don't do all the 'right' things , then it will seriously affect your chances of having a baby? X

Sending hugs to all xx Smile

zarala · 27/05/2018 21:08

@Primrose16 lovely to hear things are going well with you!

@Boboelephant love the lantern idea! And the fitness plan! Seriously this weather has really just made me realise how desperately I need to get back into some kind of fitness regime! So I'm with you on that one!!!
I have another 2 weeks until all my results come through so I'm still just waiting waiting - it's been quite freeing to be honest- because I know as soon as I get on that TTC bus I'm gonna be anxious and crazy and everything that i shouldn't be 🙄

@hayleyfx congratulations!!! Wonderful news! Fx for you! I know there are some more bfps? Or tentative ones!?? Sorry I haven't fully been following this week- but I'll catch up I promise!

hayleyfx · 27/05/2018 21:48

@Lilimum4 thank you so much! I’ll keep you all updated, very nervous and excited at the same time. I hope you get your BFP soon hun!

@Boboelephant thank you!! I’m sticking around to make sure you get your BFP 😉 just like all other ladies here, I want to see you all get happy news too! Fingers crossed 🤞

@DaisyMay25 how cute 😍 hope the cat cafe helped! Which I’m sure it did 😀

@YellowDaffodils86 @zarala thank you both so much! X

weasledee · 27/05/2018 21:51

Arhhhh on holiday now and the JKS is failing dramatically!!! Managed once! Fail! Confused

HidCat · 27/05/2018 22:10

@weasledee it only takes the once!

MrsGS76 · 27/05/2018 22:28

@weasledee please tell me what JKS stands for as I've tried this google it to no avail x happy holidays !!! Xx

Lilimum4 · 27/05/2018 22:38

@MrsGS76 jusk keep shagging I believe lol

zarala · 27/05/2018 22:41

@MrsGS76 haha yes Just Keep Shagging! It was coined in the last thread by one of us (sorry don't remember who!) and we adopted that phrase as our mantra!

MrsGS76 · 27/05/2018 22:43

@zarala @Lilimum4 @weasledee FABULOUS MANTRA!! I'm certainly going to live by it this month fx xxx thanks xxx

Wellthisunexpected · 27/05/2018 22:48

@weasledee all 3 of my pregnancies have been as a result of a just once that month! Twice I even thought it was too early and once too late Shock

weasledee · 27/05/2018 22:49

JKS!!!!! Grin
It's how we live our lives at the mo! Smile

weasledee · 27/05/2018 22:51

Thanks wellthis! So tricky whilst on holiday with others.....
Mind you our second was conceived whilst on holiday with family! Smile
My OH thinks it will be history repeating itself....... Hmm

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/05/2018 22:58

@Boboelephant Hiii✋ Doing okay, 20 weeks Wednesday (unless they've moved up a bit again), with scan on Friday. Bricking it but just trying to go with the flow. I don't have much control over anything, as I'm sure we're all aware of

Blondcat · 28/05/2018 07:22

Hey ladies still on holiday but just wanted to say congrats to all the bfp's over the last week.
So af has decided to appear on last full day aaargh couldn't wait at least one more day! I guess I should be pleased my cycles have returned to near normal after mc just hope the bleeding is not as long as last cycle over a week! With cycles around 24-26 days and bleeding of over a week makes the window to jks very short!
Fx for some more bfp's very soon x

Cakelaur · 28/05/2018 08:19

@DaisyMay25 the cat cafe looks amazing! Were there hundreds of cats?

@Boboelephant love the lantern idea. What a great way to remember. I think it's defo worth marking the day in some way. Sending hugs

MrsLCW · 28/05/2018 08:28

Hi everyone, I'm away at the min so not keeping up with this thread as well as I'd like!
Sending you all well wishes, huge congrats to those with bfps and hugs to those with AFs arrival!
I'm currently 4DPO, and have almost muscular pain in my stomach, like when you've done too many sit ups (I absolutely have not done ANY sit ups to be clear 😂) and lots of creamy CM.
Spent yesterday with my sis in law who is 20 weeks and has her next scan tomorrow (which is the point when we found out Penny had died). I'm so excited to have a new niece or nephew, but I do find it tough knowing I should have been counting down to my due date (27th June) at this point. I really hope I'm pregnant by the time the baby comes in Oct, As think it may soften the blow for hubby and I. Is that selfish? X

HidCat · 28/05/2018 08:55

@MrsLCW that's not selfish at all, Ive no doubt you're elated for your SIL so there's nothing wrong with wanting something for yourself. I've had 2 BA this week and another due anytime now (due date is tomorrow) and every picture makes me happy but sad at the same time. It's a normal emotion to feel under our circumstances. I hope you had a fab time on your hols by the way!

MrsLCW · 28/05/2018 09:04

Thanks @HidCat I just don't want to become bitter with people I love... mind you we were out yesterday and there was a woman who was quite obviously pregnant carrying her 9 month old baby... and I did think "surely that's not fair 😂" . Had to remind myself you never know peoples stories, she may have had a hell of a journey to get there too! X

HidCat · 28/05/2018 09:32

I know, it's so hard though! A good friend of mine struggled to get pg for nearly 10 years due to her husband having issues. He dumped her and now she's got a 1 yr old and is 7/8 months pregnant with her second through a guys who's amazing for her. She's been great with me since my miscarriage too, even though she's one of those post everything baby related on Facebook types bless her.
