[... Insert jazzier title here!]

The bus is still running, we're sick of bastard bfns, and crossing fingers (and some) for Feb 2019 babies. Come join!

I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

Ha! I prefer taking it in his strudel @catren27 🤣 Yes he’s feeling the pressure. He a proud man bursting with testosterone so this has been a big blow to him and is a senstitibe subject. While I was having all my fertility tests done he was overly confident that it wouldn’t be him and used to joke that he could get me and the person behind me pregnant. He’s continued heavily drinking all through our ttc journey. At least one bottle of wine a night and it’s been like a kick in the teeth. This ttc journey has been really tough but I feel it’s making us stronger (sometimes!). I just so wish we would have been one of those couple that could pop babies out just by looking at each other. We were with our first falling in the first month.

Anyway, catren27 really hope you get that BFP this month!!! 🤞 xxx

Peanut1980 · 08/06/2018 07:32

Thank you @ladybug92 😘

BadBadBeans · 08/06/2018 08:00

@coffeekittens thank you. I have already had one period but it was less than 4 weeks after the miscarriage started and only 9 days after all mc spotting dried up so I wonder if it really was a period. Having googled it a bit it seems that anecdotally it can send cycle length out for quite a few months. So I just have to be patient. Not my strong suit!

@Lithops yay for feeling positive!

@Mammyofasuperbaby sounds like things are going well for you. Well done!

@sodababy2 sorry, that sounds crap. Much as it can be comforting to know when you have ovulated and such i guess it can add extra stress as well. Hope your cycle goes back to normal next month.

@Peanut1980 hope your husband's new leaf being turned over will result in a new baby for your new home!

@CatRen27 strudel! Ha! 😂 Hope you have an easy weekend planned if DH is away!

My little boy is under the weather atm and I had to sleep in his cot last night to settle him. I'm pretty tired!

BadBadBeans · 08/06/2018 08:12

@Peanut1980 I just read your latest post. Ouch, sounds like your husband has had a shock there. Hopefully the health kick and the vitamins will improve things and get his confidence back. X

HidCat · 08/06/2018 08:16

@Peanut1980 hopefully it's something that can be fixed with some lifestyle changes.

@CatRen27 can just imagine your husband strudelling along without a care in the world 😆

TTCnamechange · 08/06/2018 09:03

Hi all, new to the thread.

Age 33
DD is 3
Cycle - been hoping to conceive for 2.5yrs
Cycle length - anywhere from 3 - 6 weeks!

Almost convinced I was pregnant a couple of cycles ago (I hadn't had a 6 week cycle since long before conceiving dd, so 4+ years), despite trying my best not to get my hopes up (&failing miserably) it turned out to be a 6 week cycle.

So I try not to give in to testing before day 43 as if I get a bfn I still don't really believe it and still hope until I see af Blush.
With dd I got a bfn at 4 weeks and a bfp at 6 weeks (didn't test between so maybe would have gotten one sooner - who knows!). Had only been hoping for 3 mths for dd so wasn't crazy with the cycle watch Grin.

I have to do an early test this weekend as I have an MRI booked (not obs/gynae related). So dreading a BFN already!

Sorry for the lengthy post. Wishing everybody luck!!!

Angelmiracle · 08/06/2018 10:26

@TTCnamechange welcome to the TWW!

Similar to you my cycles vary at 4 weeks to 7 weeks!!! After DS they were spot on at 28days but 5 years later they started getting sporadic!

Christmas Eve 2017 and in March past were 6 and 7 week cycles which I got BFNs at the time - I really thought we'd done it but sorely disappointed.

They've since regulated to 30-35 days and first time doing OPKs which indicate I'm ovulating. So we were very busy last weekend 😂

Not sure if I should test before or after AF on 18th as didn't test with DS until 8weeks due to really long cycles back then.

Good luck to you keep us updated!

Angelmiracle · 08/06/2018 10:32

@Peanut1980 DH is also off alcohol! Hoping it helps. We're both convinced issue is with him even though we have DS.

My investigations appear to show all ok with me and I'm ovulating although I am concerned about low levels of progesterone. Getting bloods to confirm I ovulated on Mon so we'll see.

We've waited 10 weeks on DHs appt for SA turns out they've been sending him appointment letters to an old address 😤 after I had updated both our address with the hospital so referral being done again.

Hoping for bfp before then.

Peanut1980 · 08/06/2018 12:34

Good luck @angelmiracle xxxx

Lithops · 08/06/2018 12:39

Hi everyone. After my super late ovulation, I have now had a very light (for me) period, which I presume is because I had a short luteal phase. I'm fighting the urge to imagine it's implantation bleeding (which I'm sure it isn't because it wasn't that light), but hoping that if I'm right, I haven't been having a short luteal phase all the time because my other periods have been as heavy as usual.

Lookingforhelpsh · 08/06/2018 13:01

I’m 10DPO and got this result? I’m a little confused... I have been feeling off recently so I decided to take a test. However, I have been really tired due to exams so fell asleep half an hour later woke up and saw this? Is it an evaporation line or BFP?

BadBadBeans · 08/06/2018 14:05

@TTCnamechange welcome and good luck with the MRI. Gosh it must be hard having irregular cycles like that. I'm already doing my nut at only four days late!!!

@Angelmiracle ditto the above! Hope your bloods confirm ovulation.

@Lithops I'm relieved for you - that sounds like a sound confirmation of an unusually late ovulation. Phew. Here's hoping it's back to normal next time.

@Lookingforhelpsh I can see something on the second picture for definite. Test again in the morning!

Ladies, I am finding it really hard to concentrate on anything. All I can think about is how late my period is and how white my pregnancy tests are! I am chucking them away at the end of each day on purpose, but keeping them out during the day so I can go back to them and torture myself by scrutinising them for any hint of a line until my eyes start to go funny. I keep thinking 'Oooh I'll just go and have another look; maybe I'll see a line this time.' WHAT AN IDIOT. And this is only my first cycle post-mc. I dread to think how I'll be if I'm not pregnant by the time my would-have-been due date rolls around.

Peanut1980 · 08/06/2018 14:09

@catren27 what’s a frer?

@Lookingforhelpsh I can see a faint line!! Ohh keep us posted 🤞😘

BadBadBeans · 08/06/2018 14:10

@Peanut1980 It's a test brand called first response early result. They are blood expensive - usually £10+ for a pack of 2 - but they are really sensitive and give strong lines from early on.

CatRen27 · 08/06/2018 14:15

badbad omg I'm exactly the same every month, I waste hours staring at the bloody things in different lights etc.. Nothing helpful to say other than you're not alone!!

peanut its a First Response Early Result test- known in these parts as the final word on pregnancy tests 🤓

Lookingforhelpsh · 08/06/2018 14:42

Would you say it’s an evaporation line as it was half an hour after I saw it or a faint positive? I’m very confused

Angelmiracle · 08/06/2018 15:02

@Lookingforhelpsh it looks good! It looks like a very faint pink line is that what you see? If it is hsg is present! If it's grey or colourless then maybe evap line.

Thank you @badbadbeans @peanut1980!

Lookingforhelpsh · 08/06/2018 15:25

@Angelmiracle defo looks pink to me!!! So excited

Tefiti2 · 08/06/2018 15:35

Hello everyone! New to this thread! I’m 24, TTC #2 and have had 2 early mcs this year. I’m currently 4dpo with AF due on the 17th! Think there will be a few of us testing around then, eek!! I know it’s far to early to be feeling symptoms but I’m just feeling generally dog tired, how’s everyone else?

SplishSplashy · 08/06/2018 16:19

Hi!
New to the thread, 1st month of ttc #2, I have pcos, dh has some issues so I feel the odds are against us! Took ages first time round. About 4dpo, eek!

Angelmiracle · 08/06/2018 17:25

@Lookingforhelpsh sorry HCG I meant!! It is exciting fx🤞

Welcome Tefiti2! I'm so sorry about your MCs. Im ttc no.2. Similar to you 4/5dpo AF due 18th!! Slight headache today but that could be the heat! Still feeling wee niggles but maybe I'm only noticing. First month with opks. Will get day 24 bloods done Mon confirm O.

Hi @Splishsplasy similar to you ttc no.2 since DS 5 was born but only actively the last year. I have pcos was blaming myself but ultrasound and HSG are all normal for me so we're assuming its DH - still waiting on his apptm though. DS took 18months which felt like forever at the time.

Good luck to you both.

CatRen27 · 09/06/2018 08:03

Looking any update this morning?? Fingers crossed for you!

Angelmiracle · 09/06/2018 23:18

Hi everyone - 6dpo haven't noticed anything out of the norm to date however I got a really noticeable sharp jab type pain in my lower back on the left! It lasted 10mins then was gone. Not like any PMS symptom.

I really hope it's a good sign. I had implantation pain on the right with DS.

I told DH and he's like no dont tell me any more until there's a + hpt 😂 Men! Holding out to test til next Fri/Sat!

CatRen27 · 10/06/2018 04:59

angel oooh that's interesting! Especially if you had similar last time. Your dh needs to realise he has to share the tww craziness too!! 😉

I had some funny lower abdominal pains yesterday (5dpo) but probably too early for implantation so hopefully feeling a perfectly fertilised egg making its journey north... Orrrrr was just wind! 😂 I otherwise feel zero but coping with the tww ok so far. What will be will be.
