After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

No, nothing unusual to explain a long cycle. Last time I was TTC it took some time and my charting suggested I do ovulate quite late. This is my first cycle using OPKs this time around and smiley face finally arrived on CD24. My last cycle was 34 days, which is a few days longer than usual. Perhaps I ovulated late then. I haven't been temping so it's possible that the OPK result was false, but the EWCM would suggest otherwise. I think I'm going to guess at a LP of about 10 days and expect AF on day 34/35 like last time, but who knows...?

@Lithops that's interesting that your OPKs have kind of confirmed your previous charting trends. I gave up with the OPKs at around day 20 - possibly I should have continued!

AF due tomorrow or the next day for me if this were a normal cycle. Probably not going to be able to stop myself from testing in the morning!

@BadBadBeans I had almost given up by day 20, especially as DH went away for the weekend, but I thought I would keep going out of interest. Didn't get the smiley face til day 24 by which time he was back! In a normal cycle, AF would be due for me tomorrow or the day after too, but what with probably late ovulation, I definitely won't test unless she hasn't appeared later in the week. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though.

@Lithops well you got your reward for perservering! Let's hope it results in a BFP for you! Thanks, I'll keep you updated as to what goes on with the testing. x

Stupid I know but I just POAS still got five days to go but couldn't help myself, I kept telling myself not to go POaS crazy this time soh! Negative obv. Just mad at myself if anything

No good ladies af is here, first time after coil so it's heavy and painful. Better get preggo quickly, not having this every month!!

I've decided I'm 7dpo and am expecting AF on Thursday/Friday which will be CD34/35 and 10/11dpo. This would be a long, but not ludicrously long, cycle for me, and would just about give me a long enough LP to conceive, I hope. If AF arrives before Thursday, I will be very downhearted.

Feeling better but moody, it's all onwards and upwards from here! I downloaded a ovulation tracker app to help with logging my period dates on a calendar. Incase we are on the job loner than expected 🤣🤣

Glad to hear you're feeling better, jkl, periods are no fun at the best of times, but it's a double whammy when you're ttc. Definitely track your cycles - it certainly helped for me last time. I feel a bit like I wasted many months guessing vaguely when I was ovulating! Hopefully it won't be a long wait for you.

Hi Prembabymum, baby dust to you too! How's your DS doing? Our DS was also prem (only 5 weeks) but was quite poorly for some time. He's good now!

Investigations only began in March. I have pcos but apparently ovulation whish is good. DH supposed to be having SA but no appointment through yet .

@Lithops yep I peed and it was a negative. Interestingly though I was out today and got a load of ewcm so I'm going to do an ovulation test when I get five minutes this afternoon!

I've not been very active as my parents have been visiting for the past month. I took a pregnancy test on the day AF was due in late May, and AF had arrived between catching my wee and the control line appearing. I even had a preemptive pre-wee wipe to make sure that didn't happen.

I want to try acupuncture, but I don't have room in my budget for the cost I was quoted. I'm starting to feel really down about the whole situation, and I suppose it's time to make an appointment with the GP for initial investigations.

Hi @lithops he's doing well thanks; he was a 29 weeker so we had a long stay in the nicu but he's good now. How are you feeling about the prospect of baby number 2?

Did an OPK and got a stronger line than I've had for a couple of weeks, but it's still a negative. GRRRR I just want to be in control and I'm not!

Hi Prem, it's funny, I feel quite positive about trying for another after the hospital with DS, but my DH is the one who is nervous about it. Normally I'm the one who frets about things! How about you?
Bad, I know what you mean about being in control. I'm really not sure what my body's doing at the moment. I feel like AF could arrive at any minute, but desperately hoping I last until the end of the week (or, of course, that she doesn't arrive at all..!)

Well, I'm out for this month . I'm feeling a bit gutted because the OPKs suggest that I only ovulated 8 days ago and that is not a good luteal phase, is it? I don't know if luteal phases have blips or whether that's what my cycle is like these days. I hope the former!

It's good to see other preemie mother's here. I have a 33 weeker who is 2 tomorrow . He was very small for his age and spent 5 weeks in hospital and has on going issues but is very happy. How are your babies doing

I had a positive OPK on Sunday morning, was negative Saturday night and negative again Monday. DTD on Sunday.

coffeekittens my af is due 17-18th June too, hopefully it doesn’t come for either of us! I’ve never used OPKs but think I will if I don’t get pregnant this month. Use Ovia/Fertility Friend to track and this month we dtd on cd10, 12, 14 and will do again tonight on cd16! My EWCM starts like clockwork on cd11 but other than that I haven’t got much of a clue when I ovulate. Fingers crossed! Not used to this waiting and wondering as I got pregnant on cycle 1 with DS. This is technically only cycle 1 though so I need to get a grip!

What do you think...had a chemical last month but only started clerking about 5 days later than normal. Thought everything would just be 5 days behind. So far in on cd 23 and no sign of positive OPK at all. Still trying to BD whenever possible just incase but I’d really like a break! Do you think we just assume I won’t ovulate this cycle? Wwyd? (Not temping - will start that next month) x
