I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

@mayago sorry for the baby bomb, hope you're ok. When are you due af? You're not out yet yourself lovely. All of my nct group has a second or is preggers now. So hard to take!

There is so much to remember with this TTC malarky. I've been feeling nauseous this luteal phase and not sure if I even ovulated. I have a faint line on my OPK but never clear. Also trying not to get too tied up with dates and fertile windows but it's difficult. I think my 2WW starts now...fingers crossed after last month's chemical.

@CatRen27 Glad you're feeling better now. Actually you're in a similar situation to me - we DTD in the three days running up to ov, but then DH clearly felt he had done his job so no DTD that day or the next! Fingers crossed for both of us that doing it the day before will be enough! Can't believe your GP didn't let you know about the steroid side effects.

@sodababy2 and @mayago sorry about the baby bombing :( I'm seeing my pregnant SIL for the first time since my mc at a family event this weekend. Really going to have to steel myself to not feel upset.

I'm 3dpo today. DH has suggested an 'early night' otherwise 'that second baby isn't going to happen'. I had already told him that I ovulated a few days ago so not quite sure what impregnation he thinks might go on tonight but whatever

Yes CatRen, it does only take once! I'm assuming your GP knows you're TTC, so that was bizarre not to warn you. AF due here around the 15th, but goodness knows if that will shift back to match up with ovulation, if that does ever happen!

I have missed a positive OPK in the past Hisashiburi; they can be elusive! I tend to test twice a day when I expect it to be around the right time for a positive.

Bad at least your DH is getting into it There is something to be said for relaxation and a good night sleep having a good impact on fertility, so why not! I hope the TWW goes quickly for you.

@mayago I'm due the 14th so maybe we will be testing buddies! Haha yes you're right, at least he is actually thinking about it this time round!

Ladies, I'm thinking that I won't be able to hold out till AF is due this month, but how soon do you early testers start testing? I'm guessing it might be possible to test from 10dpo? Does anyone ever get positives on internet cheapies that early?

It sounds like you timed it really well @CatRen27 even if you only DTD once. Fingers crossed.

I think I'll test tomorrow - I'll be 11dpo and will use a FRER. I'm working from home all day so I know I won't be able to resist!

@BadBadBeans I think it depends on the person and implantation. I've seen people on here get faint positives on ICs at 7dpo. I used them when I had my m/c to (hopefully) see the line getting darker and never really got a proper positive. I was having positives on digital at 12dpo but still the squintiest of squinters on an IC so I don't bother with them now. I'd prefer to know for sure so I wait to test til 11/12 dpo when I think a FRER will show. I'll only use an IC to show progression if I ever get pregnant again....

Ugh, cramping yesterday and a not-quite-positive OKP, then negatives today and now I've started cramping again. No idea what is going on this cycle

@BadBadBeans I tend to over analyse. A FRER claims to be accurate from 6 days before your AF, but often for me that's earlier than I'd expect implantation to have happened. My BFP with DD was 10 DPO, and was a good line so I have that sort of time frame in my head now. I think a FRER picked up my chemical last month at 8 or 9 DPO- I tested on Father's Day as I'm just a bit silly.

@Badbad yeah i think 10dpo is the earliest you'll get a real result, it doesn't stop me poas at 8/9dpo but i kind of know they're just practice goes 🙈😆 before its game time on 10dpo.. oh the over analysis! So is that a few days before 15th then?

Stark white negative on FRER. So that's that then. Totally expected but still a massive slap in the face.

Will be booking in my treatment consultation to start IVF in September. It feels like a massive step but I just don't feel like it's going to happen for us any other way.

I'll probably test from the 11th @CatRen27 as I have no self control! Cramping wasn't anything compared to last month, so I'm not feeling overly optimistic. I had cramping around 5dpo last month, so will be looking out for that this time around.

@sodababy2 11dpo is still quite early though? Really hope you're not out yet. But at least booking the IVF consultation will feeling like positive progress rather than the treading water we are all doing here month after month. Hugs to you.

@CatRen27 actually 10dpo is the 11th for me! I've also got 30 pregnancy tests in the cupboard so may as well waste a couple right?!

@angelmiracle how did the opk go today?

I'm spending the day baking a shit tonne of cake for DS's birthday. A welcome distraction from the dastardly TWW.

I haven't actually bought any ICs this month, but I know there are at least 20 lurking here somewhere! Annoyed as I bought clearblue OPKs which arrived yesterday as I was so troubled over missing my peak. And I think I've missed it anyhow, but at least we've been having a bash at it every night anyhow

TTC will probably bankrupt us. I'm buying AT LEAST 2 FRERs every cycle, and the OPKs were on offer, but still 18 quid for 20. I know I'm a bit silly, and buying things doesn't really help the cause any...

So im 13 days into this cycle and have done 2 opks at 10am and 3pm and I don't know what to make of the results.
I normally have a definite but pale test line and a very dark control line. This time the lines are barely visible. Anyone had this before. The top one is from this morning, bottom is this afternoon

@BadBadBeans another flashing smiley 🤔 CD19 come on opk peak already 😭 Took ic opk this evening still only half dark 😕 But very annoying symptoms that would be driving me crazy if I was in tww! Really bloated since this morning very heavy boobs lots of crampiness down below but more at uterus as opposed to ovaries. Don't know what it is never feel like this pre ovulation!

@angel those are some strange symptoms, maybe its gas? 🤔 i had zero ovulation symptoms this month, usually can almost feel the little pop of release but not a peep this time round. Wish we could just open up and look inside..!

@mammy those definitely dont look positive, maybe you're ovulating later this month? Hope it shows up tomorrow

Thanks @CatRen27 I know they aren't positive and this cycle is supposed to be a longer one. I was just confused as every time I test I always get a second faint line but this time nothing. Just a bit worried that I don't ovulate properly

@CD20 and another flashing smiley 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ic opk darker than last night so that's good sign but it's still later in cycle than last few months 😑 Will do CB opk this evening too make sure I don't miss surge
