2ww for us and our Surrogate

Hi Ladies,

Anyone else bitten all their nails down during 2ww? We are 3dpt5dt (my sister is being our host surrogate - shes amazing I know ) and im going through waves of optimism and despair! Shes much more laid back than me and Im finding it harder to distract myself even though Im not the one physically experiencing anything! Our beta is 25th May but atm I feel like its impossible to make it until then!!!!! Would love to hear some positive stories!!

Me: 27 with MRKH
DH: 54 (2 children from previous marriage)
Transferred a 5 day Blast

We think we may test at 6dpt5dt which will be Sunday - realistic that it may still be early but we will be at my sister's that day and will be nice for the 3 of us to do one HPT together!

I think that’s amazing. How brave of you all. I always considered being a surrogate myself and it still isn’t off the cards as long as I’ve had all the children I want by then.
It’s the most incredible gift you can ever give and your sister is inspirational. How lucky you are to have each other.

Thank you MagicalCreatures . She really is - we were originally going to go with an agency because I would have never have asked her, it needed to be something she felt strongly enough about to come to me about it. When we went through our first cycle of IVF last year we retrieved 2 eggs from me which was pretty low considering my age. It was an emotional journey but we ended up with both little eggs making it to blasts! I think it was the excitement felt by us and our family that made her feel like she wanted to be part of our story . She has been amazing so far and we are all praying that we get a BFP on 25th!

Thats amazing that you would consider it! I know its not for everyone but being on the brutal side of infertility and knowing what it can mean for someone trying to have a baby, if I could then I would!

Just a little update - we did a test this morning and have a second faint line!!!! We dont want to get too excited but do think its a BFP!! Beta is on Friday so it is an early line!

OMG!!!! @HopeNovember2017 what wonderful news!! That's a mega strong line there!!! Massive congratulations. I'm so so so thrilled for you all!! Fingers crossed for an easy 9months. Do keep us posted about how it all goes!! Did they implant two embryos or just one?? Was just thinking you could have twins!!! Eek!!!

Do you think its a strong one?! I mean, its deffo there, but I dont know what to compare it to! We will do another on Tuesday so as long as it gets darker ay! We just had the one embryo transferred :)
