2ww for us and our Surrogate

Hi Ladies,

Anyone else bitten all their nails down during 2ww? We are 3dpt5dt (my sister is being our host surrogate - shes amazing I know Halo ) and im going through waves of optimism and despair! Shes much more laid back than me and Im finding it harder to distract myself even though Im not the one physically experiencing anything! Sad Our beta is 25th May but atm I feel like its impossible to make it until then!!!!! Would love to hear some positive stories!!

My background:

Me: 27 with MRKH
DH: 54 (2 children from previous marriage)
Transferred a 5 day Blast

Oh yes - we dont care what the baby is! It was just a huge surprise being told it was a girl at 19 weeks and less than 3 weeks later being told a boy! My sister has also opted for an elected C - section so that will done at 39 weeks! Cant believe how quickly is all happening!

We are all doing well! 29 weeks yesterday and everythings going good! Really can't believe it's less than 10 weeks now until little man is here! I've dropped down to 4 days a week now so I can help my sister out with housework and my nephew so it's been lovely to spend alot of time with her! I'm sure it's going to go so fast now with Christmas just round the corner!

I know - honestly cant wait, we ordered a crib yesterday too so thats exciting!

Have a scan on 24th November so will keep you updated :) x

@HopeNovember2017 I am so so happy I found your thread again!!!
So happy to hear it’s all going beautifully and that your having a little boy. He looks so perfect.
I’m having a little boy too, due in 3 weeks. We had a 4d Scan and it’s so incredible isn’t it.
I can’t believe your nearly at the finishing line after first reading your thread all that time ago.
How are you all feeling? And will you and DH be allowed in the room during the birth if your sister is having a c-section x

@MagicalCreatures lovely to hear from you!! Oh congratulations how exciting!! How are you feeling? He must be due right around Christmas!

Im feeling good, still very surreal but I honestly cant wait for him to be here now! My sister is getting tired as expected but she is doing well too! I am moving in with her for the last 2 weeks before he is due to help her out a bit more!

I will be in with her during the C-Section. The staff have been great tbh, they have even said I can help lift him out and that the midwife will take lots of pictures for us etc. :) x

@HopeNovember2017 yes I’m due the 28th. Though we all think he might be making an early appearance. He’s very low and I’ve got alot of pressure. I’m feeling good otherwise. Have had a pretty stress free pregnancy apart from abit of SPD. I’ll put up my 4D Scan picture for you to see.
That sounds like a good plan, moving in with your sister. I bet she really appreciates your help. And it’s so lovely for you to be around a lot and getting involved.
I can’t believe you’ll be allowed to lift him out. That’s incredible. What an experience. I’m so so happy for you.
So what’s your official due date?

@MagicalCreatures he is beautiful! is amazing how clear they are isnt it!
That will be exciting if he does! The best Christmas present! Im glad you are feeling okay too!

He is actually due on 30th Jan (which is my birthday) but because its an elected C Section they will do that at 39 weeks - so its the 24th! Yeah she is looking forward to it! Mainly because she has a very active 4 year old so Ill be able to tire him out a bit for her!

Its been lovely to be so involved, I've been to all the midwife appointments, scans etc :) my sister wants to me to decide everything and be the one who has a say so she has been amazing! I know im so lucky! x
