Hi Ladies.

Anyone else on their first cycle and TTCing?! I'm seeing all these beautiful posts about ladies getting pregnant and how they have bonded with people on here soooo, thought I'd make one at the start on my journey!

@ChaosMoon hello you. I'm cd22, 9dpo. I feel different but we know I have before and got BFNS. I'm defo exhausted though but could be this heat. Had so much CM recently. Abit white in knickers and watery! xx

Delilah7 · 19/07/2018 14:05

@ChaosMoon how're you?

ChaosMoon · 19/07/2018 14:24

Keep the faith @Delilah7, it will happen!
I'm ok. Got the closest I've ever come to a positive opk this morning, which was exciting. Hopefully I'll actually get a positive reading tonight. Either way, DH and I will be at it like rabbits over the next few days! (Sorry for the image!)

Hi @Fae28 I'm only cycle three. There's a real mix on here though.

Fae28 · 19/07/2018 14:28

@Delilah7 hopefully soon for you 🤞🤞. I wasnt even trying at first then we realised its been quite a long time. Hoping this cycle is the one. Had period like cramps 6dpo last a couple days and shooting pains on my right side. ☺

EllaR1 · 19/07/2018 14:38

Thanks @MrsO10D Smile

I think im going to keep trying and see how it goes. Even if I go to my GP for help that might take months anyway.

Thanks girls!

Delilah7 · 19/07/2018 15:09

@ChaosMoon don't worry go for it girl 😂😂 make sure you wear yourselves out haha.

@Fae28 thanks lovely. I've got a nurses appointment for like a check with everything so will mention I've come off it etc etc and see if they can give me any advise! I had some cramps too about the same time. No signs of implantation bleed yet though :(

OP posts:
ChaosMoon · 19/07/2018 16:01

Not everyone gets an implantation bleed @Delilah7

Delilah7 · 19/07/2018 16:42

@ChaosMoon yeah that is true. I guess you just expect it!

Hi all
Great to see so many friendly posts! I never post on groups ever, but this journey is a bit different isn’t it?! It’s not something I feel I want to speak to friends about really! So an anonymous forum seems great and reminds me I’m not going mad!
Just finished cycle 4 of TTC.... periods normally regular and this one was 5 days late, got all excited, took 3 pregnancy tests all negative but told myself it would be positive soon enough.... then period today. Can’t believe how upset I felt! And I’m only on cycle 4. Keep trying to pull myself together but can’t get out of this downer about it!
I think what makes it hard is that I’m a full time midwife.... I love my job but it’s a constant reminder of what I want and enough to drive anyone mad! I work full time on the labour ward as well so all day every day babies!!
Just need some positive vibes to remind me it’ll be my turn at some point! 😘

Delilah7 · 19/07/2018 17:52

@jed2018 well let me just say on behalf of EVERYBODY you do such an amazing job. I know unfortunately it's not always great days in your line of work and I cannot even imagine how hard it is for you especially working with them and doing such an amazing thing BUT your time will come soon. It has to, your a special sort of person so it will! X

jed2018 · 19/07/2018 18:05

Thanks @Delilah7, that’s very sweet of you! I hope you’re right.... not got to do 3 12 hour night shifts not the best timing! Also women in labour always ask their midwife if they have children which isn’t too much fun either!
Good luck to you as well SmileSmile

Delilah7 · 19/07/2018 18:35

@jed2018 no defo not best timing but just keep high spirits. I can imagine it being hard but you could always just tell them you're trying to conceive if they ever ask, would probably make me feel abit more open and wanting to talk about my experience. Which could be good for you to see how many months it has taken people etc etc x

BFP this morning. Telling DP tonight Smilebeen lurking here for a while and have everything crossed for all you lovely, supportive ladies xx

ErikaSt · 20/07/2018 17:57

Congratulations! @minniecat2406

BambiOnIce80 · 20/07/2018 18:10

Hi Ladies,

I've also been lurking on here for a while, so hope it's OK if I join you? I'm TTC first baby on cycle 3 cd20, 6dpo, so in the middle of the dreaded TWW (oh, the crazy abbreviations to get your head around!). It's actually my second time around at TTC first baby after a 4 year break. Previously was unsuccessful after cycle 40... at least you guys know there's always someone else a little worse off than you 😜 Trying to remain optimistic this time round and not become obsessive with the symptom spotting again. If you guys could keep me right with that, it'd be greatly appreciated 💖

Congratulations @minnicat2406! 🎉🎊💕

CookieWaffle · 20/07/2018 18:13

Oh hey, lots of new people! Welcome aboard! Please feel free to have a rant, moan, scream, we're all here to listen and we all know how it feels! Sorry for those who AF came around again, we'll get there! xx

And of course share your BFPs! congrats @minniecat2406!! xxx

I'm gonna be on and off a bit again this month I think. That CP has made my emotions go up and down like crazy this week!

MrsC87 · 20/07/2018 18:24

Been waiting 6 months due to Zika to be able to ttc and the 6th month is finally here. Whoop we can start trying! Hope I can join in on the conversation ladies Smile

BambiOnIce80 · 20/07/2018 18:28

Thanks so much for the lovely welcome @CookiWaffle! I'm so sorry about your CP 😔 I've never been there, but can totally understand your pain. I felt crushed last time round after testing early and getting BFN's! I've resolved to leave them alone this time and not test unless I'm at least CD35 with no AF (it usually arrives 28-30 for me). I like to try to keep optimistic and I found early tests stomped all over that. Everyone's got different preferences, of course. You've got to do whatever works for you.

Incidentally, if anyone wants any first hand info on the whole rigmarole you have to go through if you're unfortunate enough to have to go through any infertility investigations just give me a shout. Happy to answer any queries I can from what happened to me last time.

Delilah7 · 20/07/2018 18:39

@minniecat2406 congrats lovely!!!

minniecat2406 · 20/07/2018 18:46

Thank you ladies. All a bit terrifying! Xx

RobynC19 · 20/07/2018 18:46

@ChloeF21 any news for you yet ? I had to go have a second blood test and got a call today to book another appointment with doctor for Tuesday on CD65

CookieWaffle · 20/07/2018 23:21

Thanks @BambiOnIce80 :) when you've had weird pains and backache all week then find out the reason for all the pain is the one thing you've wanted for 15 years, only to find out 5 days later that you're not getting that thing and you're left with all that pain still reminding you, it's kinda a rough ride! Never mind. Hopefully the stories are true and I'll be more fertile next month!

Virgo89 · 20/07/2018 23:49

@minniecat2406 Congratulations!

@cookiewaffle Sorry to hear about your CP. In June I found out that I had a blighted ovum which came as a complete shock. I only went to the EPU as I'd had some light spotting, I'm a worrier so thought I was going in unnecessarily so I definitely didn't expect the news I was given 😏

ChaosMoon · 21/07/2018 08:00

Massive congrats @minniecat2406!
Welcome all newcomers.

Note to self. Don't ask my eventual midwife if they have kids. @jed2018 I've never posted on one of these either - don't even do Facebook anymore - but this is a lifesaver.

@Virgo89 that really must have been a shock. How long have you been ttc?

My time to talk about cm now (sorry guys). I get very little most days so it's hard to chart - until I get the creamy stuff at the end. Which, this fmonth, came yesterday, while both my apps think o day should be today. So annoying. We've been dtd every 2-3 days, but still. I really hope we haven't missed our window! Or, worse, my body is so out of sync with itself that I'm actually getting it at the wrong time.
