Hi Ladies.

Anyone else on their first cycle and TTCing?! I'm seeing all these beautiful posts about ladies getting pregnant and how they have bonded with people on here soooo, thought I'd make one at the start on my journey!

Hi ladies sorry for being quiet for a week or so, tried to stop obsessing while in my non-fertile window. I’m now CD15 and should be OV tomorrow. I’ve started doing OPKs, boots own, but was stressing over lines, so now have the Clearblue digital. Negative this morning so going to try again when I get in from work. How many times a day have you been testing?

@FSlater, I've never got a positive opk and have too little cm for that to be helpful. But I'm not worried because I can find my ovulation by temping. It may be that those things just don't work for you. I think dtd every other day is sensible.

I've got my fingers crossed for you @MrsA89! I've managed not to test at all yet, but I'm only 7dpo today. Going to try to wait until Wednesday, af due Friday. I had spotting today, which gave me a moment's excitement. Then I checked Clue and realised it's not the norm but I've had it 4 days before af before. So now I'm trying to calm myself down again!

I'm now 4 days past AF's due date and still not had a thing. After my BFN on Sunday though I don't want to jump into testing again soon as it may show the same result. I'm going to try wait till Friday then I'll be a week late and hopefully get my BFP I'm looking for good luck everyone.

I really hope you get that bfp on Friday @MrsSquidler. Read a depressing article that said even FRERs aren't that reliable until well after your missed af and people should wait longer to test. But that does mean there's still plenty of hope for you.

That said, I may test tomorrow... My head's in a bit of a spin. I'm 8dpo, cd24 of a 27 day cycle. Tiny but of spotting yesterday, not unusual. Lots of spotting this morning. Feels unusual, but what if I'm just not remembering properly because I want an implantation bleed? Or I've messed up my temping and don't have a clue where I am with my cycle... Feeling ridiculously stressed, which of course could be pmt. Probably is as I kind of want to cry, which is stupid.

Just an update from me! Thank you SO much for your reassurance. Had my second reflexology appointment yesterday, apparently really good for helping get your reproductive system in line and everything regular.

Anyway! This morning I took yet another CBD and lo and behold I had a flashing smiley!!

I also just did one of my cheapie internet strips - I’ve attahed it. Am I right in thinking this is nearly positive? I’ll keep testing, but maybe tomorrow will be my solid positive!

Can I ask, when it turns to a solid positive does that mean I’m ovulating? Or is it 24/48 hours notice? Hoping the latter!

@chaosmoon thank you! I’m still getting negative on CBD, will try again when I get home tonight. Apps are all telling me I’m OV today. Slight EW CM but not a lot yesterday... you’re not out until AF is here so keep positive!!

@Fslater that’s brilliant! Hoping I get my smiley face ASAP as I’m getting a little wound up now!!

Also looked into SMEP - hadn’t heard this one before but going to give it a go when I get my positive OV test.

@MrsA89 - I've got my fingers crossed for you! I've been reading into SMEP and am going to try it this cycle too. It seems like a lot of work - haha - but sounds like it covers all bases. I've opted for cheapy OPKs (instead of CBD) this month and going to try and combine with temping (although I need to buy one and I'm off on hols in 2 days - eek!). Hopefully SMEP will work for the both of us - it would be good to know how you get on.

@MrsSquidler - eek, how exciting. I REALLY hope you get your BFP. Fingers crossed!

@ChaosMoon - sending you lots of positive vibes! @MrsA89 is right, you're not out until AF is here. Try to do some nice things or give yourself some relaxing/tasty treats over the next few days - and hopefully mother nature will smile on you. We're all here for lots of support X

Hey! Hoping someone can help.. had my very first flashing smiley on CBD this morning with FMU and a very nearly positive IC too (Second MU). I just did another IC and it’s got a LOT more faded. I’ve drunk since then but not a huge amount - 1 1/2 cups of tea and a little bit of water?

I also tested with both last night and got a negative so surely that isn’t my surge over? I never quite got the positive on the IC or the CBD as a solid smiley so I’m a bit worried! Also, I bought the ‘one-step’ super cheapies and tested these on all occasions and no 2nd line even shows up... glad I’m not relying on them!

@FSlater I've heard that the window when it peaks can be under 8 hours. So if you peak at night, you won't know. (Fmu being likely to give a false positive.) I think if I were you, I'd BD tonight. And if you're doing smep, tomorrow as well?

But CBD has to be used with FMU I’m so confused! It was also only a flashing smiley so not my peak? And my IC was never really a positive it was just close. Will BD tonight but worried now that we’ve missed our chance somehow. God this is all confusing and stressful 😔 XX

Hi everyone. We are trying for our first baby 6 months now, it’s really not as easy as I thought ! Tried the ovulation tests but I found them quite hard to read so I gave up. Think pressure getting to DP as well :(

Girl beside me at work is pregnant & constantly talking about it - trying to smile & excited for her but god some days are tough! AF due in approx 9 days. Haven’t told anyone as been married a few years & already feel like people watching me waiting for news!

Just joining the thread and myself and OH are just starting to TTC #1 this month. I'm so excited but feel like I have unrealistic expectations of how easy it will be to get a positive! Here's hoping! I'm using clearblue digital ovulation tests. OH has sluggish sperm apparently so DTD every other day as that's supposed to help it along. Good luck to everyone xx

Hi all, I too am TTC #1. Just got AF after second cycle trying. Hadn’t realised how hard it is to get pregnant after so many years having the importance of birth control being drummed in!!

@FSlater, sorry, my reading has all said no fmu for opks but I haven't used cbd. They may use a different mechanism, so I'd they say fmu, do that. It's all so confusing!

That should have said "if they say", not "I'd they say"

@Fslater I didn’t realise CBD had to be used with FMU- I’ve been doing it with FMU then after a four hour hold when I get in from work. Am I wasting my time trying on an afternoon?

@MrsA89 I used FMU with the CBD and when I got a flashing AND felt my CM was getting to peak EW stage I tested at night and got a positive non flashing smiley face.
It’s great getting it, it feels like at least one test comes out positive!!

I’m totally messed up withbthen my period is due, I’m 12DPO and Think I’m due AF tomorrow. Sort of feel it coming on but was just looking over my daily tests( last three days) and noticed a faint line!! I never marked which day so I’m not sure now....Am I being crazy or can anyone else see it?

Scrap the above post guys... good old google told me it’s probably an Evaporation line from leaving it too long!! Roll on AF tomorrow 😩😩

Hi guys, haven't commented over the last few days but af showed up Sunday night after 2 days being late and feeling so hopeful, really thought this was my month, feel stupid for thinking I had a chance, good luck to everyone else who's waiting

@RanchoRelaxo sorry to hear that. But it's just your body telling you that it's not ready yet. Stay positive and try not to stress too much as it'll put more pressure on your body.
It's hard not to let it consume your life though, like I'm sat here at work and it's all I can think about! So I understand that it's easier said than done.
Maybe treat yourself to some reflexology or something to help unwind and hit the right pressure points needed🤞🏻 xx

Finally!! Tested this morning and got flashing smiley on CBD and negative on IC OPK - tested tonight and got an unmissable positive on both. Static smiley and +Be IC OPK.

How long does this give me until ovulation? Going to DTD for the next 3 days I think. Although have also bd’d for the past 2 so hoping that has boosted my chances!
