TTC First Baby! Anyone else?!

Hi Ladies.

Anyone else on their first cycle and TTCing?! I'm seeing all these beautiful posts about ladies getting pregnant and how they have bonded with people on here soooo, thought I'd make one at the start on my journey!

@ChaosMoon congratulations on the pay rise! That sounds like a fab day!

I have been in a strange mood today, almost teary which is how I go just before my period is due.. probs not a good sign but I am still holding out for good news this weekend haha

@chaosmoon I am feeling ok and keep thinking that this month is my month. But I also now know that if I don’t have any luck, the doctors will see me in a few months to start investigations. How are you doing?

Hey ladies I'm so new to these forums so please excuse me as I don't know any of the codes yet lol but I've been TTC (only one I know ) for 1 month, just finished my second period a couple of days ago so now just holding out for ovulation day to get trying again . I've been using the app Flo to monitor when I'm fertile but different apps say different things, does anyone have any tips on how to know when your ovulating?

@Saraelle, well I'm 2dpo, so obviously I thought I had morning sickness when I woke up... I'm glad you won't have to wait too long now to get help, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

@AuroraHopeX I'm a firm believer in temping (taking your temperature) to work out where you are in your cycle. It's worth getting an app (I use Natural Cycles - they also give you a thermometer to 2 decimal places when you join). It takes a while to get to know your cycle, but it's worth it. Particularly as it can help keep an eye in your pregnancy when it happens.

My AF showed up this morning I’m out this month. I give up.

@Delilah7 oh no I have my fingers crossed For you! Hubby has his test today then results next week. The dr is going to package us up for the fertility clinic once the results are in xx ☹️

Really sorry to hear about AF @Aims4. The big positive is that your GP is taking it seriously and getting you some help. It's a tough road but it will be worth it when you get there.

Hi ladies, love catching up with this thread and seeing how we are all doing. I’m a bit worried and hoped you girls might be able to help! Last cycle (first one TTC) I had period cramping for 2 weeks before AF. And now this cycle I’m on CD07 and I’ve got what feels like the early stages of a AF. Obviously I can’t be pregnant, and AF is a good 3 weeks away! Should I be concerned? Hoping to O on 6th or 7th. Took an OPK this morning and negative result, which I expected. Thanks so much for your advice

@FSlater perhaps these are O pains just before you actually O? Maybe try and take another OPK tomorrow, fingers crossed!!

I had thought that but I’m only on CD9 (my bad I thought it was earlier) and my cycles are typically 29/30/31 meaning the earliest I’d be due to O wouldn’t be for another week?

7dpo today and bfn.. couldn't resist testing this morning 😂 I say I won't test early every month but we all know I will do the same thing tomorrow morming haha

@RanchoRelaxo - I am the same. I'm due AF on 2nd July and tested this morning. BFN. Boo! I am hoping that AF doesn't arrive and my eyes were deceiving me.

Bring on July and fingers crossed for everyone - sending lots of baby dust. And for anyone on the TWW - hang on in there - hopefully you will see a BFP very soon X

@FSlater have you tried ovulation tests before to know you usually ovulate around that time? Because I read a post the other day and a girl actually ovulated during her period which I found crazy, I had no idea it could differ and just thought it was typically 2 weeks after the start of a new cycle. Forums like this are so helpful we're all super lucky to have each other x

@fslater i have had the exact same cramping all week and AF is due Monday. I don’t think I’m pregnant, I think maybe it’s just our bodies messing us around🙄It’s my first cycle too!
@ranchorelaxo keep hope, it’s probably still to early!! I think I’m getting pms symptoms now so I will live vicariously through you now! Keep us updated!

Hi ladies, sorry for the quietness, hope everyone is OK. Just had a bit of a freak out, am on cd13 and just started bleeding and got a bit of pain. I'm trying not to panic but it's hard not to. It's right in the middle of BD week! I also went to the docs who's letting me do FSH tests to see if everything is OK there. Hopefully things are all good...

@CookieWaffle I'm so sorry, that sounds so stressful. When are your tests?

@fslater and @Booklover87, are you taking anything other than folic acid? I was on Pregnacare last month and had the weirdest, most symptomatic cycle ever!

@Booklover87 well it feels like a normal period and is dead on the date it's meant to come x
