Not sure if it is a certain person/group of people who start these threads but hadn't seen the June bus rolling round yet so here goes...

Temp dip for me this AM so woke up poor DH at 6am as I have to go to work early Grin

Still not entirely sure when my O happens in relation to temp dip but I usually get the rise the day after so I’m guessing there’s a good chance today’s the day.

mostimproved · 16/05/2018 07:40

I’m also using the Ovia app and it moved my fertile window earlier but at least we have DTD twice in that time and will again tonight - didn’t manage yesterday as I fell asleep watching tv. My boobs are sore today which Ovia says can be an ovulation symptom.

For those using the clear blue digital opks, do you think they are worth the money compared to the cheap ones? The amazon ones work fine for me but it can be confusing to decide which line is the darkest so I’m wondering if I should shell out for the CB ones next cycle (if there is a next cycle which obviously I hope there isn’t!)

clairehr · 16/05/2018 08:00

Morning all! Hope everyone is doing ok!

So don't know what on earth was going on last cycle, there was a definite line on an IC hcg test, then 3 days of light spotting, now nothing on tests and no further spotting. Definitely wasn't a 'normal' period by my standards, and my MCs previously have been much heavier.

However, back on it again now and hoping for a little February bundle of joy.

HidCat · 16/05/2018 09:14

@clairehr I'm so sorry, that's gutting. If you don't get any more spotting it might be worth retesting in a couple of days, just to be sure.

Anyday88 · 16/05/2018 09:47

Hi all, can I join the June bus please?

I am ttc number 3 after a miscarriage in April.
I have just got my first period since the miscarriage so feeling positive to move on to hoping for a February baby now 😊

We go on holiday next week right in my fertile window so 🀞🏻🀞🏻

Hope everyone else is feeling positive

Verysmallcat · 16/05/2018 09:55

Morning everyone, cd 12 for me, glow app says I've just started my fw so I've started opks. I am hoping for a longer luteal phase this month as the last 3 months were around 9-11 days.
I am really really holding out hope for this month to work (which I know is stupid and setting myself up for a disappointing fail) but I can't help it, this is all I want, fingers crossed for a lucky bus for everyone! Smile

jeanzbeanz · 16/05/2018 10:35

Hey all, I'd like to join this bus Smile
I'm 24, TTC #1 since Feb this year. Was sooo set on getting a Christmas baby so when AF arrived last month it was very disappointing. However... We're trying again this month.
I'm on CD22 and in my FW currently. DTD yesterday, hope it's my lucky month

Lithops · 16/05/2018 11:13

For those using the clear blue digital opks, do you think they are worth the money compared to the cheap ones?
I've only ever used the clear blue digital ones (prior to DC2 pregnancy and now this TTC). I like the whole smiley face thing because, as you say, it saves you squinting at the lines. You can still see the lines when you take the stick out and I do think I might struggle to be confident about what I was seeing with the cheaper ones. The CB ones are bloody expensive though! I think I will use them for a few months to see if I am ovulating at roughly the same time and then maybe switch to the cheaper ones when I am feeling more confident about my cycle.

Alex2790 · 16/05/2018 11:31

@Lithops there good at detecting hormone changes but i spoke to my dr who said all though they detect a hormone surge does not always mean your ovulating at that time. x

Lithops · 16/05/2018 11:47

Alex, yes, that's very true. They are not proof of ovulation, just an indication, as I understand it, an indication of when you are likely to be ovulating, assuming that you are. I presume that is true of the cheaper tests too though?
Last time round I did end up going for fertility tests which indicated that I was ovulating (or had at least on the month they tested!). Haven't got to that point yet this time around, and hopefully won't!

KnitKitty · 16/05/2018 17:56

Urgh. Pretty sure my fertile week has started and can't BD because we have visitors until Saturday.

Had a dream last night that one of our guests showed me an app on his computer and told me I was ovulating now and was having a short cycle this month! haha! It's possible that it's my body telling me exactly that, because my dreams were my only indicator that I was pregnant before so I think my body does talk to me through dreams. Just hoping if this is the case I've still got some good swimmers in there from Sunday's shenanigans. Wink But I think it would be very early for me as I usually have a 30 day cycle minimum and think I'm due around the 5th June. Although I know cycles can be a bit messed up after miscarriage, so we'll see.

Good luck to those just joining the bus and those coming up to testing time. xxx

Alex2790 · 16/05/2018 19:38

@Lithops yeh so you might as well get the cheap ones. I have been trying for a year Dr said everything sounds fine with my cycles and that im doing everthing right and to continue reducing my BMI and come back in four month for fertility tests x

Ilovemypyjamas · 16/05/2018 20:12

Haha knit you can't beat a crazy dream!!

I've had lots of ewcm today (more than yesterday so I think Ovia must be wrong) pretty sure I am ovulating today so we have DTD as soon as we got in from work Grin

It's good to hear how everyone else is getting along, good luck to everyone this cycle xx

WhitleyBae · 16/05/2018 20:18

Not 100% out for May but feel 100% like I will be...

Age: 32
TTC: #1
Cycle: 5ish
Af/BFP due:20.06.18

samanthajonespr · 17/05/2018 15:43

Has anybody ever spotted around ovulation time? According to Flo, I'll be ovulating tomorrow. No Ewcm yet but had a little twinge of pain yesterday which I usually get just before ovulating. Today, cm had a pink tinge. Should I be worried?

clairehr · 17/05/2018 19:05

@Samantha I've had that previously, just a very slight pink tinge around O time. Keep an eye on it I'd say :)

Not sure what on earth is going on with me right now. So after a positive line I had 3 days of what would be a very light period, which abruptly stopped, negative tests, nothing for two days and I now have a very small amount of brown discharge when wiping (sorry TMI) and cramps round only half of my belly and then round my back on the same side. Testing negative still. Any ideas anyone?

Ilovemypyjamas · 17/05/2018 19:18

Claire I had similar symptoms and it was a chemical pregnancy (this was 3 cycles ago).
Perhaps the first test you took was more sensitive though? Have you tested again?

samantha I spotted at ovulation this, month for the first time ever Confused

clairehr · 17/05/2018 20:35

@ilovemypyjamas Firstly, awesome name!! Secondly, I feared this may be the case (I've had two MCs, but not a chemical before so not sure what happens!) The positive test was the same as the others I've taken which have all been negative. Think I might just let it calm down for a couple of days and see what happens.

TheOneWithTheBaby · 18/05/2018 06:20

I don't get bleeding at ovulation time. I don't seem to ovulate regularly but when I do I can feel something. Not pain but a sensation.

Can I ask a question about literal phases please? I think I normally ovulate around a week before my period starts. That's not long enough, right? If not I'll ask my gyno when I go see her.

clairehr · 18/05/2018 06:26

@Theonewiththebaby That does sound like a short luteal phase, worth getting a doctors opinion.

mostimproved · 18/05/2018 08:11

So who else is now in the TWW? I am on CD16 now, and pretty sure I ovulated in CD14. I had really bad bloating and boob pain around ovulation, and now feel like I’m coming down with something - really tired, sore throat etc - so not had the best week but at least we have DTD three times in my fertile week, and now it’s just a case of distracting myself until I can test!

sprinkleofsunshine · 18/05/2018 08:41

Hi ladies,

I'm in tww, prob about 7dpo, not entirely sure, posted elsewhere that I didn't feel o this month like I usually do so not sure what's happening, may be out before it begun Sad

Anyway, I have a family wedding tomorrow what do people do about drinking in their tww? Obv not going to get blotto but people will be buying drinks and no one knows we are ttc so will find it odd if I say no, also the starter is pate.

I've heard even if you are pg baby doesn't take anything from mother until 6wks. Is this right? What do other people do?

Tia Smile

HidCat · 18/05/2018 11:05

@sprinkleofsunshine I would carry on as normal, as you say baby doesn't take anything for the early weeks anyway. Have a lovely time!

sprinkleofsunshine · 18/05/2018 11:07

Great! Thanks @HidCat :-)

jaykaydee · 18/05/2018 18:38

Positive OPK today, bit earlier than usual but weekend is better timing than mid week.
