Not sure if it is a certain person/group of people who start these threads but hadn't seen the June bus rolling round yet so here goes...

@sailorcherrie let me know how you get on with the new thermometer! I'm using one I got off amazon that came with some cheap pregnancy tests 3 years ago and I'm also hypothermic according to these. Most of my pre-O temps are under 36 and if you google I have hypothyroidism or low progesterone or some other anomaly that means I can't conceive!! Hoping it's just the thermometer...

Age: 28
TTC: #2
Cycle #: 2 officially since having m/c in March at, lost 3 babies in 12 months
AF due: June 2nd.

Hi everyone Smile

mostimproved · 10/05/2018 22:06

@samanthajonespr sorry for your loss (and all others on this thread who’ve had mcs) and here’s hoping June is your month!
Has anyone started doing OPKs yet this cycle? I’m on CD8 and did one today out of boredom, and now feel I have to keep doing it every day so I can log it in my app, how sad is that Blush

sailorcherrie · 10/05/2018 23:02

@8DaysAWeek

Here's a pic of the two thermometers I was talking about (excuse how bright the light is on the braun one - hard to get a picture without glare!) just took my temp simultaneously with both to show you the difference...

@mostimproved - I'll be starting the OPKs again tomorrow! Hoping to see that elusive solid smiley this cycle round and last cycle was just a bit of a mess with flashing smileys and negatives and broken readers!

Toot toot! June Bus!

Can I join too?

Age 28
TTC No. 2
DS is 4
Cycle No. 5

Got a BFP last Wednesday 2nd May which then turned into a chemical pregnancy with bleeding arriving on bank holiday Monday.. Sad

Now on day 5 of bleeding and trying to think positively, I’d never even heard of a chemical until it happened to me and it’s hit me really hard.

AF is due on the 2nd June and we go on holiday the 3rd June so hoping this is our month!

HidCat · 11/05/2018 07:27

@yourmyforever I'm so sorry. I hope you're doing ok?

yourmyforever · 11/05/2018 08:44

@hidcat thank you I’m doing ok, feel silly for getting so upset about it as we only knew for 3 days before the bleeding started.. I’ve done lots of research since Monday and it seems alot or people say you can be more fertile after a chemical so im holding on to that thought!

yourmyforever · 11/05/2018 09:01

HidCat · 11/05/2018 11:46

It's good that you're trying to think positive. It seems we have much more awareness now due to better home testing which is awful when you have an early loss. Fingers crossed for the fertility cape! I'm aiming for that as well as I'm just waiting for the end of my first AF since my MC so feeling optimistic here too. It doesn't matter how early the loss is, still make sure you take the time to grieve Hun. There is a TTC after loss thread if you feel you need additional support.

jaykaydee · 12/05/2018 09:28

Sorry to hear about your losses @yourmyforever and @samanthajonespr.

@mostimproved No OPKs yet this cycle. My earliest ovulation in the last six months has been day 16, and I'm only CD8. I normally start them about CD12. At least AF has gone, hoping for a bit more energy this cycle so we might manage a few more attempts.

BuntyII · 12/05/2018 11:03

I'm so excited. Managed to dtd yesterday and today (difficult with a co sleeping one year old!) (we did it in a different bed by the way!) Thought I'd got my cycle a bit wrong as I counted CD1 when I had spotting rather than full flow but have just seen EWCM Grin so I think my timing is good.

Will try to fit in another session tomorrow if DP agrees (not sure he enjoys being used for his sperm πŸ˜‚)

BuntyII · 12/05/2018 11:05

Oops sorry posted that on the wrong bus Blush

KnitKitty · 12/05/2018 18:44

AF is winding down now so back to the canoodling tomorrow.

We have visitors staying from Monday to Saturday though so no BDing those days. Sad

Just hoping I don't ovulate until Sunday next week at the earliest.

8DaysAWeek · 12/05/2018 19:10

CD12 and just starting the canoodling today woops haha. Planning on doing the SMEP, and last month I didn't get a positive opk until CD21 so that's a lot of BDing before actual O day if I started as soon as my period finished. It's kinda nice though to just have sex for fun and not with the purpose of making a baby. Didn't stop me staying lay down for 15 minutes afterwards just in case I O a week and a half earlier than usual Wink

TheOneWithTheBaby · 12/05/2018 21:08

Hi, I'm
New to this. We plan to start TYC our first in June. Is this the correct thread for me? I have PCOS (recently diagnosed) and erratic periods, so not sure when in June I'll be fertile. If periods remain regular (currently are, first week of June could be a fertile one for me. But it depends!

I have started temping and I'm seeing a gynocologist in June to discuss diagnosis and some other issues. trying to get used to temping etc by then.

sprinkleofsunshine · 12/05/2018 21:16

Hello, I was on the May bus and unfortunately AF came right on time so I'm jumping on again for round #2.

Dtd day 2 & 4 of fertile window and was unfortunately away day before & d day so think I'm pretty much out already anyway but also I can usually feel ovulation every month and this month I haven't felt a thing and it's prob around 2 days of when it should have been so thinking I may not have even ovulated either Sad

Good luck to everyone this month!

Moonriver83 · 12/05/2018 21:32

Hi everyone :)
Age 35
Ttc #3 (though dh reluctant at first)!
Loss in March (after ttc first attempt) and have been incredibly low about it with cycles all over the place-don’t even know if Im ovulating as no positive opk last month. Periods changed completely in timing and flow too so we’ll see!Good luck everyone.

Lithops · 12/05/2018 22:30

Hi, can I join?
Age 37
TTC #3 (DC 6 and 13 months)
CD 8
AF was 4 days late this month. I was getting quietly excited Sad.
Took us quite some time to conceive DC2 so I'm trying not to get excited at all now!

Gracesmom28 · 12/05/2018 22:35

@knitkitty I’m also not opk testing or temp checking. I’m obsessive enough during the tww without additional stress. I’m just going to try and go with the flow and dtd every other day during my fertile window which is around the same time as yours 17th-24th so ovulation some time Within those days.. looking forward to hearing everyone’s news and updates xx

mostimproved · 12/05/2018 22:40

@8DaysAWeek maybe I’m being a bit thick but what’s the SMEP?
CD10 here, and Ovia puts my fertile period as Monday to Saturday so I have made DP aware he needs to be available whenever needed! I have read that DTD too often can be counterproductive, as if you do it too many times pre ovulation the sperm count is lowered and there’s not much left when you get to the actual O day. This may well be misinformation so I’m happy to be corrected.

Lithops · 12/05/2018 22:52

I've heard that too, mostimproved, that every other day is best. It's been a while since I felt at one with my cycle, so I'm going with the OPKs for a couple of month and hopefully find that I am ovulating and roughly when it is. Fortunately, shouldn't be when DH is away for a couple of nights this month...

8DaysAWeek · 12/05/2018 22:53

@mostimproved Sperm Meets Egg Plan! You can download it for free onto iBooks or I'm sure some other phone platform. Takes about 15-20 mins to read most of it.

Basically you have sex every second day until you get a positive opk, then you do it for three days in a row, skip a day, then one last day. I think it's just to cover all bases.

I've also heard that doing it too much can be bad. Apparently though, as long as your DP doesn't have any sperm issues then it doesn't matter if you do it every day. But I think it makes sense. I also think you should have sex before your fertile week too to get rid of all the old stale sperm and make room for some fresh stuff haha. I possibly made that up, or maybe I read it in the SMEP I dunno lol

8DaysAWeek · 12/05/2018 22:54

@Lithops can't believe AF was 4 days late - that's SO disheartening. I would have been gutted. Did you test at all in that time?

Lithops · 12/05/2018 22:57

No, I was very patient Sad. Actually, I was quite busy and I didn't want to disappoint. I thought I couldn't have bought a pregnancy test really without explaining why I was randomly scooting off to the only nearby town with a chemist (we're quite rural), but I was making plans to do so after the bank holiday. Sadly, I didn't need to Sad. I was secretly naming the baby in my head though... Blush
