Not sure if it is a certain person/group of people who start these threads but hadn't seen the June bus rolling round yet so here goes...

That should say, disappoint DH. I don't have a fan club Grin

8DaysAWeek · 12/05/2018 23:07

No bloody wonder you had your hopes up, I would have been the same. Except no way would I have had the same restraint!! Though it's very easy for me to pop down the road for a pregnancy test. I'm gonna try hard not to test before AF is due this cycle though. I think I might manage it as I generally feel more relaxed than the previous ones, even though I'm only on cycle 3. I think I've plummeted down into reality and expecting it to take a while now (fell instantly with DS which probably gave me false expectations). I want this so much but there's no point sending myself crazy over it for potentially months on end, crazy won't change anything.

Lithops · 12/05/2018 23:11

Haha, thank you. I have learned that it could be difficult. DS1 was easy to conceive and we thought, this is a doddle. DS2 took 18 months of proper trying, plus 3 years or so of unprotected sex in addition, so I have learned not to get too excited...

clairehr · 13/05/2018 14:05

waves Hi all, hopping over from the May bus.

POAS today and got a line. Either a false positive or a chemical though as now spotting so found myself here.

TTC #1 (2 MC and the above)
Age 31
Cycle 5
CD1
BFP due June 9th

mostimproved · 14/05/2018 14:53

@8DaysAWeek thanks I’ve downloaded it now! Definitely worth a try and DP will be happy with the three days in a row part!

Got a line on an OPK this morning as well as a lot of EWCM. Up until yesterday they had not even a shadow of a line, and last month when I had a faint line in the morning it was positive by the evening so I think ovulation will be coming in the next couple of days.

Welcome to everyone else and fingers crossed for you all Smile

Spottyyellowdress · 14/05/2018 17:30

Hello to everyone who’s joined!
@clarehr so sorry to hear that - have you tried another one? Maybe it’s all just settling down! 🀞for you.

Does anyone know if you can have positive opks and not ovulate? I’m worrying myself to death!

8DaysAWeek · 14/05/2018 20:32

My Opks do similar @mostimproved! Generally a very faint line then they go really dark and turn positive within 24-48h. Makes me worried I'll miss the surge!

@Spottyyellowdress yes they do say that a positive opk only confirms an LH surge and not ovulation, you'd need to temp to confirm that. I don't know the stats though so it may be unlikely that you get a positive but don't ovulate. Maybe someone else knows better than me!

Spottyyellowdress · 14/05/2018 20:55

@8daysaweek thanks! Started temping properly this month to see if that holds any answers. Blood test says I’m not ovulating but I had what I thought was a positive opk this time and always regular cycles (within a couple of days) - really stressing because I thought all that meant it was all okay!

Alex2790 · 14/05/2018 21:29

Hi everyone joining from may bus.
Age - 27
Cycle 12 now i think got spotting yest and today
CD 26
TTC #1

From what i read cant count as period and bew cycle until propper blood flow. Seen Dr today she not overly concenred she said my cycles sound healthy and that there starting to regulate to 28 days taken there time came of pill year ago and only 80% people get pregnant in first year. So she wants me to continue reducing my bmi and continue what im doing then in 4 month have bloods x

Alex2790 · 14/05/2018 22:00

That word was meant to be new cycle lol

ladycarlotta · 15/05/2018 00:21

Hi! would love to join you guys.
AGE: 29
TTC: #1
CYCLE: 1 of properly trying - I think 3 off the pill
AF/BFP DUE: 25th May.

I've had two previous pregnancies, both without trying and both unfortunately ending in miscarriage, but I was a good bit younger then, and I'm trepidatious about how my fertility has held up. A scan a few years ago showed a cyst on my ovary and I have a lot of the symptoms of PCOS so we'll see how this goes. My periods seem to be pretty regular since I came off the pill at least.

I don't know if it's just adjusting to coming off the pill, or being over-conscious of what my body's up to, but I've had what I assumed to be ovulation pains this month that have gone on for days. Like, maybe five now? Kind of AF crampy, down low rather than on one side or another. I'd like to hope that's a good sign but who on earth knows. I won't be testing til the end of May.
So glad to know other people are going through this at the same time!

HidCat · 15/05/2018 07:33

@ladycarlotta welcome! Sorry to hear you've experienced miscarriage in the past, there is a thread on here for those who've been through it if you want to join that too. Hopefully the pain you describe is just PMS related but if it doesn't clear up it's worth getting it checked to be on the safe side, especially if you suspect PCOS and have a history of cysts.

ladycarlotta · 15/05/2018 08:26

thanks @hidcat. We've just moved house so hopefully new GP will be helpful. My previous saw no point in investigating the PCOS if I wasn't actively TTC - I manage the symptoms myself with diet and exercise, but very much alone.
I seem to be ovulating so I'll just see what the next few months bring. I want to avoid getting myself too wound up about all of this if I possibly can.

8DaysAWeek · 15/05/2018 09:05

Morning everyone! And hello new passengers!

So I don't know wtf is going on. Last month I got a positive opk on CD21, AF came on day 33.

This month I decided not to start using opks until today, CD15. I've had some ewcm the last couple of days but I usually get a lot so have tried not to look too much into it. This morning I woke up to a major temp dip - retook my temp three times to confirm! Did an opk and the second line is just a little bit lighter than the control. Now I don't know if I'm ovulating today and missed the surge yesterday, or the surge is on its way!

We dtd last night anyway so it doesn't matter but it's unexpected. Will take another opk later and compare.

This is only my third cycle after stopping breastfeeding so that's why they are all over the shop.

GreedyVegan · 15/05/2018 10:53

Cd15 here, negative CB digital today it was peak on Saturday afternoon. First time using them so have no idea they go straight back to negative. Had ewcm on Sunday, I'm guessing today is 1dpo? Where is everyone else in their cycle?Smile

HidCat · 15/05/2018 11:57

CD11 here. Using opks to try to spot ovulation and starting to get ewcm so think FW is just around the corner.

Countrygirl94 · 15/05/2018 14:02

CD 10 here have started using opks.
Nothing much to report, trying to focus more this month on being healthy and trying to do yoga and that to relax me. Few days of sun have defiantly helped.

8DaysAWeek · 15/05/2018 19:15

So, more ewcm and I got a positive opk this evening! 6 days earlier than last month. Not complaining though. TWW is coming sooner than I expected

Ilovemypyjamas · 15/05/2018 19:35

Hello to everyone who has joined!

I've been using ovia to track my cycles and today is CD 12.....no ewcm until today and I've spotted today as well (pink).

Ovia has updated my fertile window to ending today, so going to try and DTD tonight but feeling like I have missed the boat on this one Hmm

We shall see!! How is everyone else doing?

mostimproved · 15/05/2018 19:40

I’m on CD13 and had a positive opk last night so DTD last night despite us both being tired. It’s earlier than last month for me as well so it caught us slightly off guard, but opks are back to negative now and have had lots of watery cm (don’t really get the egg white stuff) so I reckon ovulation was today.

jaykaydee · 15/05/2018 21:00

Cd11 here. Have started opk as going to try and follow smep this month, got a flashing smiley today which suggests ovulation might be before my normal cd16/17/18 so my child free night this weekend might not be as perfect scheduling as we hoped.

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 15/05/2018 21:07

Hey all,

Missed so much on here need to have a proper read through! But this is the first month I'm going to try OPK's my cycles lately have ranged from 30-36days... which was my longest last month! When should I start using them? Any advice would be much appreciated πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»

Baby dust to you all πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ‘ΆπŸ»πŸ™Š

GreedyVegan · 15/05/2018 21:07

Sounds similar to me @jaykaydee I got my flashing smiley on cd11 it went static cd12 afternoon.

GreedyVegan · 15/05/2018 21:09

I started cd10 as that's what SMEP recomend, good luck Smile

TheOneWithTheBaby · 16/05/2018 05:51

I'm still only on cycle day 4, so nothing happening here. I'm finding it very useful to read everyone else's experiences though! I am measuring temperature, and am starting to use ovulation tests this month. I have to say I don't have much mucus so am finding it hard to keep track of that!
