TTC #2 - April Showers Bring May BFPs! (Hopefully)

Hope it's ok for me to start the next edition of the TTC #2 thread :) if there's another one already point me in that direction please AF arrived today so I am out for the month :( but fingers crossed next month will be the month for all of us :)

My stats:

Age: 23
DC: 4yo DD
Cycle: 3 (6 week mc in January)
BFP due: 12th May

I'm going to try temping this month. We did a half-hearted version of SMEP last month but my night shifts at work got in the way. Fingers crossed!

So... AF is 2 days late now! Last night I POAS (RR not a FRER - stoopidly bought wrong one a while back and this was last Stick left in the house)... I've attached my chart and my stick which I think does have a sneaky slither of a line!

I've started using the opks for the first time. On Day 11 of cycle now; the two opks I did yesterday had medium-strength lines on them so I hope that means I'm coming towards ovulation? I don't know if it builds up as you approach ovulation? I know that it needs to be as strong as the control line for ovulation though. My cycles are usually about 28 days, but obviously post-mc I have no idea what will be going on, which is one of the reasons why I'm using opks. We are also officially trying again, which feels lovely and positive and makes me feel that I can put the mc behind me.

BadBadBeans thank you and I have told him but he is anxious and isn't getting his hopes up yet after last month.

I've noticed mine do build up towards ovulation, if that helps? Your LP could be as short as 10 days so keep using them until CD18 at least and even then you might ovulate later because of MC? FX for you lovely, really glad you are feeling positive

Hey twittle just a question, did you wait until 2 days late to poas or were you getting bfns up to now?

I'm kinda confused. I had spotting at 12dpo, and temp dip at 13dpo, thought af was coming early. Then my temp jumped back up today at 14dpo and no af. Bfns every day. Argh!

CatRen27 So LP is usually only 12 days for me so I POAS at 11dpo and 12dpo, both were negative. Then POAS at 13dpo in evening and go that slither of a line. AF didn't show still for me yesterday so POAS in evening but got a BFN. AF still isn't here today at 15dpo - no symptoms at all, not even any AF cramps either. Couple ladies on another thread pointed out how they didn't get their BFP till nearly a week after AF was late! One of them also had a late temp dip and rise like you too (and I have too if you look at my graph!) My temps are still up too! You aren't out yet! Just keep in there!

Fuck, DH just dropped the mother of all baby bombs.. SIL is 10 weeks. I was only texting her a few weeks ago about ivf timing and now I feel so stupid as she was giving me advice knowing she was pregnant and I had no idea. Any bet af arrives tomorrow in full force just to top it all off. Sorry. I'm devastated.

@catren27 I went through exactly the same last month so completely feel for you. I don’t know what to say other than it will settle down. Just maybe try and keep a little distance for now. You will get your BFP. Either naturally or IVF. It will happen for you. Sending you a hug 😘

CatRen27 oh bless you you're allowed to feel devastated and but please don't think you are stupid, you didn't know. She probably felt awkward keeping it from you, if that is any consolation. Really have my FX for you that you will just get a late BFP and AF will be a total no show for you

Baby bombs are so hard to deal with CatRen Hopefully your BFP will come soon! I have my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry I've been a bit absent. It's difficult to find time to myself with parents visiting. I think we've missed ovulation by a day; we did DTD the day of the smiley, but I would have liked to the following day as well. Not feeling overly optimistic this month, but have been invited to the ClearBlue trial at least.

I am tempted to visit family when my parents go back next month, but would miss FW. Is it silly that I'm letting TTC run my life?

mayago good luck! Hopefully you'll get lucky this cycle then ttc won't prevent visiting your family! I think it is tricky to get the balance right, timing is key in ttc but same time you need a life outside it. No clue on what i would do if I was you.

I think AF is here after all only 3 days late and after a BfaintP...

Af started today for me as predicted, i had a big fat cry (bfc?) last night and feeling a bit strange today. Thanks ladies for your support, this game is so shitty!

CatRen27 bless you, was this the last cycle of TTC without IVF? I really hope that IVF is going to be super easy and you'll get lucky 1st time.

I'm so sorry twittle that is such a torment. Have you had chemicals before? Hope you enjoy a nice big glass of wine today (or royal wedding pimms perhaps..) We're starting ivf in August after a holiday in July so 2 cycles to go.

CatRen27 I think I had one last cycle, same thing happened with getting a BfaintP.
Super hope that you'll get lucky before then but if not I'm sure IVF will be fine, I've a few friends who went down that route and it really was a great success for them straight off.

@CatRen27 gutted for you. You never know though, maybe the magic will happen just before IVF time.

Hello ladies, thought I'd join, I'm ttc 2, currently dc is 9 months and I'm still breastfeeding, don't want to wait too long as trying to conceive last time was an awful experience and took ages AF returned a couple of months ago so hoping this time around or won't be as long, anyone also still breastfeeding?

I’ve been awake since 04:00. I’m due on next weekend. Just can’t stop wondering whether I’m pregnant. Don’t have overwhelming symptoms and I should imagine I’m not. Just so want that BFP and a sticky one. Ill be so pleased when this ttc no. 2 journey is over. It’s consumed my life for the past year (plus). I think I’m going to get the ball rolling with ivf if I don’t get my BFP this month. Would be great to start in September so DS will be back in school and we’ll be in our new house by then 🤞🤞🤞
