Hope it's ok for me to start the next edition of the TTC #2 thread :) if there's another one already point me in that direction please Grin AF arrived today so I am out for the month :( but fingers crossed next month will be the month for all of us :)

My stats:

Age: 23
DC: 4yo DD
Cycle: 3 (6 week mc in January)
BFP due: 12th May

I'm going to try temping this month. We did a half-hearted version of SMEP last month but my night shifts at work got in the way. Fingers crossed!

I’m so sorry to hear that @lopeylopez. Sending you a big hug. It’s funny how we think it’s always us isn’t it. I always thought our problems were me too until we recently discovered my DH has low sperm count. I wish you lots of success on your new journey with the IVF/ICSI xxx

Peanut1980 · 12/05/2018 07:37

So I’m due to ovulate this weekend. Made hubby wait for sex plus no wanking 🤣 for 4 days. I think I’m actually going to ovulate tomorrow but I think he would have burst if I made him wait another day 🤪 So we’ve just DTD. Good luck spermies!! Now go get that egg!! 🙏

WhitleyBae · 12/05/2018 08:47

Fx @Peanut1980 - the lengths we go to ey?

I'm currently 5dpo and starting the phantom symptoms spotting - distracted myself up until now as we finally moved house, so solicitor stress took the forefront!

This TWW is enough to drive you mad!

Lithops · 12/05/2018 11:57

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm actually trying to conceive #3.
I'm 37 (how did that happen? Shock)
DC are 6 and 1
Cycle 3.

CatRen27 · 12/05/2018 12:19

Hi @lithops course you can! Welcome welcome. How long have you been ttc #3? When's af/bfp due? Best of luck to you 😊

CatRen27 · 12/05/2018 12:21

@Lithops whoops, you said - cycle 3. Helps to properly read the text! What's it like with the age difference of your kids? We're looking at a 4+ year gap and would love to hear how its been for you. My db and i are 14 months apart so i have zero experience of it. Thanks!

Peanut1980 · 12/05/2018 12:28

Thanks @whitleybae. I am finding it quite entertaining this month 🤣 a BFP would be amazing but realistically I think we need a couple of months for hubbies supplements to take affect x

Peanut1980 · 12/05/2018 12:29

Good luck to you @whitleybae x

Lithops · 12/05/2018 12:41

Hi CatRen!
We didn't really intend to have such a big age gap, took us a while to conceive DC2 (a bit worried about ttc #3 for that reason...!), but it's actually a really lovely age gap. It's very easy! DC1 is at school so I feel that the baby gets lots of attention and DC1 really loves to help and is very patient. I suppose it will have more problems perhaps as they get older and want to do different things, but we'll see. For now, it's good Grin

BadBadBeans · 12/05/2018 15:19

@LopeyLopez really sorry to hear your news, but I can also imagine that it would be kind of a relief to know that there's a reason for it that you can now start to work on. Best of luck for the future.

@TwittleBee how did the tests go yesterday?

@Peanut1980 that made me laugh! Good luck!

So two bits of good news from me - my first post-mc period finished, and I took a pregnancy test (because it's also two weeks after the mc bleeding stopped) and it was negative. I need to talk to DH about what we're going to do about trying again, but I think I would feel fairly comfortable trying now that I've had a period - albeit a slightly odd period. Managed to log the period date on Ovia - with the pregnancy that I miscarried, I didn't write down the date which added to the confusion. Definitely going to be more organised now!

I've also got a load of OPKs so I will start with those in a couple of days just to see what is going on!

CatRen27 · 13/05/2018 01:52

Thanks lithops i was hoping you'd say that - i know my dd (3yo) is really staying to be helpful and is slightly more reasonable than 6-12 months ago. The fertility clinic nurse i spoke to said its so common that each pregnancy takes a completely different amount of time to happen so hopefully #3 will come soon. Was dc1 relatively easy to conceive? Mine came in 3 cycles so that's definitely the case for me (cycle 24..!). Are you temping/ doing opks etc to chart your cycle this time? I'm more than slightly obsessing over my bbt chart..

badbadbeans ooh yay! Glad your body's given you the all clear. Do you think dh won't want to start asap?

I'm peeing on sticks at 9dpo which is pretty ridiculous and I'm feeling like i shouldn't do it after the chemical last month which i wouldn't have even known about if i wasn't testing early. I'll keep you all posted obviously! Nothing yet.

CatRen27 · 13/05/2018 03:43

Stupid phone.. that had spaces and paragraphs and everything.. 😣

Lithops · 13/05/2018 10:28

DC1 was easy to conceive- we weren’t even particularly trying, just not using contraception, if that makes sense (obviously, we were happy with the idea that I might get pregnant! Grin) We sort of assumed that the same would happen with DC2, but it was not the case. In the process of conceiving DC2, I used OPKs and found that I actually ovulate reasonably late, so I am going to use them again for a few months and see if that’s still the case. That’s the plan anyway!

CatRen27 · 15/05/2018 12:10

Sounds like a grand plan lithops 😊

How's everyone else faring?

I'm getting stark white bfns at 11dpo so not getting my hopes up for this month. Boobs are pretty sore but i think this mightc be a pre af pattern rather than a sign of anything more interesting! Obvs not out yet but might need to jump on the June bus soon

TwittleBee · 15/05/2018 13:04

Hey everyone,

Lithops welcome! and lots of baby dust to you. Worth using OPKs again then!

BadBadBeans turns out they wanted to test for 1) BV/Thrush, 2) UTI and 3) Chlamydia - Unsurprisingly I haven't a UTI and I know I haven't BV/Thursh (had it many times to know this isn't that!) and for Chlamydia - tested negative for this during pregnancy and we haven't been sleeping around! Got to wait for ultrasound now on 22nd - I'm going in sane with the stress.
Good luck with the BMing and I really am hoping you get a lovely sticky BFP soon Flowers

CatRen27 When is AF due? FX still too early for you (bet you are fed up as me when people say that to you though when you POAS early!)

I'm 12dpo - AF due tomorrow. Had 2 BFN on FRERs on last 2 days so not holding out any hope.

WhitleyBae · 15/05/2018 14:22

I'm now 8dpo but refusing to test until after af due. Got a ma-hoosive spot in my chin so fairly sure that's pre-menstral but the little voice in my head keeps telling me I might react like this with pregnancy hormones too...

Fx everyone x

TwittleBee · 15/05/2018 14:24

WhitleyBae FX that your spot is a good sign! (will make it totally worth it then!)

Lithops · 15/05/2018 14:40

Oops, I've just realised that I am almost certainly on the wrong bus - what a plonker! I'm actually on two buses at once!! In my defence, my cycles can be a bit irregular (ranging from 27-32 days) so if it were a short one, I might just squeeze into May! Definitely worth using those OPKs I hope - lack of a positive one yet though suggests that June is definitely the bus for me...

CatRen27 · 16/05/2018 02:26

Nice one WhitleyBae I wish I had your patience and powers! Hopefully it'll be your bfp.

Lithops stay on here anyway, the more the merrier!

So I've had brown spotting today at 12dpo so that's not looking too great - it's weird that since my surgery last nov all my pre af symptoms have changed, I hardly cramp at all - whcih I'm not complaining about! - but it means I'm not fully convinced its af for days.. So here i am hoping it's late implanttion (lol) until tomorrow when I'm in full flow.. I might start up a TTC #2 bus for June and hopefully see NONE of you on it! I'll stay here as well though obvs x

CatRen27 · 16/05/2018 02:27

Whitley - those were meant to be 'waiting' powers, not just general magical powers, which I can't be sure you have.. lol

TwittleBee · 16/05/2018 05:47

CatRen27 oh well that is great about the no cramps, a positive that has come out of it. Even if it leaves you unconvinced it's AF. Please do set up a June Bus, AF due for me today and I know it will come

Peanut1980 · 16/05/2018 06:35

@twittlebee that sounds fun! Loving the sunshine 😍 DS wanted the sprinkler on yesterday. So lovely to hear him giggling away (and screaming) running in and out of the water. Cooler day today but should be nice and warm again for the weekend 👍🏼 Would soooo like this to be my month for a BFP 🤞 It’s unlikely we’ll fall pregnant naturally with my hubbies sperm count although not impossible x

WhitleyBae · 16/05/2018 06:53

@CatRen27 haha powers of overthinking things for sure. Now 9dpo and no pre af spotting - that would usually occur today or tomorrow, so here goes the over scrutiny of every bodily function!

Lithops · 16/05/2018 14:07

Ah, thank you, Catren, perhaps I will! Nothing to report here, done OPKs the last couple of days (11 and 12) and negative so far, but last time I bothered doing this I seemed to ovulate no earlier than day 14 so I'm not really expecting anything yet.

SJB90 · 16/05/2018 20:49

Hi guys! Just to let you know I'm still here reading your comments just staying in the background a bit trying not to get to obsessed this month! Dropped everything and gone au natural! Forgetting all the stress Seems to have helped as my cycle has been cut short these past few months at around 20-23days my usual is around 31! Last month AF was nearly 2 weeks long (wth) Currently on CD29!! So FX. No signs of AF as of yet. No pregnancy symptoms, no nothing. Wishing the best for all of you... baby dust 😘
