Hope it's ok for me to start the next edition of the TTC #2 thread :) if there's another one already point me in that direction please Grin AF arrived today so I am out for the month :( but fingers crossed next month will be the month for all of us :)

My stats:

Age: 23
DC: 4yo DD
Cycle: 3 (6 week mc in January)
BFP due: 12th May

I'm going to try temping this month. We did a half-hearted version of SMEP last month but my night shifts at work got in the way. Fingers crossed!

Hi AF arrived today after being 8days late!

Stats:
Age: 29
DC: 2 year old
Cycle: 5

Last cycle was 46 days or something stupid!
Hope everyone is ok!

Mumma100 · 27/04/2018 08:06

I found you all!!! 😂

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 10:16

CatRen27 haha I feel rather special reading that! I'm not usually one for alternative therapies either but with DS I actually found myself happily trying everything. Even saw a Chinese medicine woman who actually really freakily predicted I would be going into labour pre-term (and I did!). Glad it feels like you are doing something and that it is at least relaxing you, which is important when TTC anyway! Hope you get in lots of lovely BM around ovulation and we see a BFP. FX

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSongoh that is frustrating! Are you monitoring your ovulation? Hoping you have a shorter cycle that ends in a BFP

hahah hey Mumma100 !

Still feeling mega rough today, CD8 and lots of EWCM again so wondering if I am gonna ovulate early this cycle. I haven't had any rest of cramping from AF so feels like my body is just rolling straight into ovulation from period as I usually gets cramps a few days leading up to ovulation.

HidCat · 27/04/2018 10:43

@TwittleBee I hope the cramps calm down soon for you. Just reading your post to @CatRen27 and when you wrote "Hope you get in lots of lovely BM around ovulation and we see a BFP." I thought you meant Bowel movements 😹. Honestly these acronyms are better than auto correct sometimes!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 10:49

HidCat omg you just made me literally LOL at my desk. Hope my work colleagues don't ask me why haha

Mumma100 · 27/04/2018 11:13

So I’m 2 days late for AF, I’ve had the odd bit of brown mucus sorry tmi! And sometimes when you wipe after a wee it’s normally just clear wee on the tissue, it’s had a brown tinge to it but not active spitting if that makes sense. Not sure what to make of it as my last cycle af was I think 12 days late!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 11:23

Mumma100 so its in your CM not your pee right? (Just checking because if its your pee get to a GP now!) Could be implantation bleeding though if you aren't too sure when AF is due? Do you monitor your ovulation?

Peanut1980 · 27/04/2018 11:27

Hi All. Just got back from the hospital. No cancer! Normal ovarian cyst that just needs checking again in 8 weeks. I’m so relieved. I’ve had of sleepless nights and shed a lot of tears. The consultant said it shouldn’t affect my fertility. My hubby is getting his sperm checked tomorrow. He is not AT ALL happy about it but hey my tests have been way more intrusive. Due to start my period either today or tomorrow. Have no pregnancy symptoms so just waiting for AF 👀⏰

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 11:31

Peanut1980 WHOOOOOOOOP! Flowers so relived for you! And great that it shouldn't be affecting your fertility either. FX DH's sperms come back fine too and you'll have a lovely BFP soon. Hope you have a relaxing period and can just chill out after the good news lovely

HidCat · 27/04/2018 11:42

@Peanut1980 that's great news!

Gemini89 · 27/04/2018 12:19

Hey Guys,

I hope it's okay to join.

I am currently in my tww. Think I am about 3dpo as I had positive OPK on Monday. Dtd Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! So hopefully I'm well and truly covered!

We have been ttc since January, so this is #4 and first time using conceive +! Has anyone else used this?

I don't feel any different ATM, as expected. I don't have a good feeling about this month either Confused. Will be testing next week Friday. Anyone like to obsess with me?!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 12:35

Gemini89 hello there! Of course Smile Got my FX for you that you'll have some luck this cycle

Peanut1980 · 27/04/2018 13:54

Thanks @twittlebee and @hidcat x

BadBadBeans · 27/04/2018 13:54

@CatRen27 I won't know exactly where I am on my cycle, but at least if I wait for one AF before TTC again then I will have a rough idea. Apparently miscarriages can send your cycles a bit wobbly which I guess means ov can be all over the place... I am considering getting some ovulation sticks to give me an idea of what is going on. Not so much for TTC as I am happy enough to just DTD regularly - but more so that if we do get lucky enough to get pregnant, I will have a better idea of dates.

@TwittleBee how do you monitor ovulation please?! Do you just know from cramping and EWCM etc, or do you do other stuff as well?

@Mumma100 oooh are you going to test? I couldn't be 2 days late for AF and not test! I second Twittle's worry that it's not your pee! But if not, then maybe implantation bleeding?

@Peanut1980 HOORAY! I am so so relieved for you. God, what a relief! Crack open some bubbly quick before you (hopefully) get a BFP and can't any more!

@Gemini89 Hey there :) Oooo good luck with this cycle!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 14:04

BadBadBeans I do BBT charting and OPKs but from using those I now know I'll ovulate not long (usually 3-4 days) after I have an acne break out and have EWCM. I also start cramping in lead up to ovulation and gets progressively worse (but I think this is to do with an underlying medical issue so...).

BadBadBeans · 27/04/2018 14:14

@TwittleBee thank you! I'm definitely going to get some OPKs in. That's interesting that BBT and OPKs have made you more attuned to your own physical symptoms. Having got pregnant in my first cycle both times of trying, I don't really have any experience of tracking my ovulation, but I have a funny feeling I might need it this time round!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 14:17

BadBadBeans that was same for me with DS! Yeah using BBT and OPKs mean I have charted when ovulation happens and as I was also noting down other symptoms, like skin break outs etc, it meant I saw the pattern. Its why I think Im gonna ovulate within next few days so looks like only a 22/23 day cycle for me (or perhaps its the stress of my uni work making my skin bad... lol).

Gemini89 · 27/04/2018 14:22

Thanks girls!

Has anyone had experience using conceive plus?

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 14:22

oh also BadBadBeans, I have been only doing both OPKs and BBT because I wanted to cross check them against each other before just sticking with BBT charting. Which will be happening after this cycle as I will be out of OPKs and BBT charting is free once you've bought a digital thermometer (I just got one from boots for £10)

BadBadBeans · 27/04/2018 14:27

Oh cool, so TwittleBee did you find that BBT is accurate then? I might do the same. I already have a digital thermometer for my DS - could I just use that?!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 14:33

BadBadBeans for me yes it is, I use Fertility Friend to keep track and that helps explain the rules of BBT charting:

  • at least 3 hours sleep
  • take temperature same time every day
  • take temperature orally or vaginally (I do oral)
People do reckon you should get a fancy BBT thermometer but mine is just a digital one that was originally bought for DS.

Gemini89 Nope I haven't yet, was considering using it though!

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 27/04/2018 15:18

@TwittleBee thanks-I'm hoping for a shorter cycle this time too!! Last month I tried OPKs but gave up too early i reckon and half heartedly tried monitoring BBT. Must stick with it this month!!

@Gemini89 I started using conceive plus lube last month as well as their tablets. I think the tablets extended my cycle but my fault for starting them part way through...I usually have 35-38 day cycles, but from when I first took the tablet to when AF eventually started was 30days so I will continue them for a while 🤞they get my cycle in check!

@Peanut1980 Just had a quick read through and that's great news, must be a weight off of your mind!

Mumma100 · 27/04/2018 16:26

@twittle and @badbadbeans nope defo not my pee! I’ve had so many UTIs before I would recognise that burn anywhere 😂. It’s defo coming from my uterus. I have been testing and got all negatives but I have only been utisnt IC so who knows!

mayago · 27/04/2018 17:22

Peanut that's a fantastic result - must be such a relief!

Hi Gemini! I'm in the tww as well; testing Tuesday I think?

CatRen the acupuncture sounds really relaxing. I might look into it next cycle

Mumma do you have any FRERs at the ready? Are you normally on time with AF?

Bad I've enjoyed using the Clear Blue monitor. I actually got a smiley face, so it gave me more reassurance ovulation was happening!

CD 6 here today, and not feeling much of anything really. Urge to POAS pretty minimal at least. My little monster is keeping me busy - sorry for the half assed post!!

Gemini89 · 27/04/2018 17:29

@TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong I have the conceive+ applicator lube. I have never had ewcm, I just have slight watery cm around the time of OV. Hopefully this is going to do the trick. I've seen so many reviews on couples conceiving in the first month of using but don't want to get my hopes up.

I've been using OPK too. Bought a load of cheapies from amazon. Got positive on Sunday night then an even stronger positive on Monday. I think these are a must to catch OV as my period came 2 days late last month, I assumed I would therefore OV at exactly 14 days like I always do however I OV 2 days earlier, when I would of OV if my period wasn't late! If I hadn't of used OPKs I would of completely missed it.
