The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

@JaggyJobby. @pinkdonkey. I am on day three of cutting down sugar lol. I don't normally eat crisps etc so I won't have to work on cutting those out. I had a few little plums for breakfast and they were quite nice. I never quite get the carb thing so I will have to look into that.

@Bubblegum89. I have that very occasionally. Usually as my period is tapering off.

@Si1ver I had a similar experience when I was in the EPU. After the sonographer told me my pregnancy would "no longer be continuing", I started to cry and she looked at me surprised and said "Oh, is this the first time this has happened to you?" I was like what the hell does that matter? I imagine even if I was on my fifth loss I would still be devastated.

@Paranormalbouquet I heard the "be positive" thing too, followed by "concentrate on the children you have" I felt like yelling "this is one of the children I have"

I always wondered what AF stood for and have used it for speed once I gathered it somehow stood for period. I think FP is far more appropriate!

@LookingAtTheStars89 when my MMC was dragging out with failed medical management, weekly scans and hcgs and ended up with infection and erpc which all took 6 weeks start to finish I was going a little mad. Someone said I should be glad to “have the time to rest and grieve”. As though my normal life just stopped for that 6 weeks while I waited for miscarriage to complete!

@Bubblegum89 so sorry for you but the alien comment did make me giggle. If I were you though I'd be calling the doctors just to make sure everything is okay. I use pads though so for all I know this could be happening to me each time and I'd just not noticed. I do get weird pink lumps and stuff sometimes though, just never noticed the white liquid.

Accidentally brought one of those safety razors (where you can change the blade) through security and have sliced open my finger taking the blade out haha. Hopefully that is the only blood I'll be seeing this trip!

Can i come back please? My happy bubble well and truly burst last night. Made it to 6 weeks before my useless body decided that no, you wont have a baby! Knew it was too good to last. Hate ttc, hate the wait for a bfp, hate the constant worry and knicker watching you do when you get the elusive bfp and especially hate this feeling of abject uselessness now its all gone tits up. Why bother ☹

Can I join in? Been ttc for 4 years. Had a perforated uterus a few years ago. 6 months after that I had a MC. No other pregnancies in that time.
I have one 11 yr old ds. I have pcos, and am also desperately trying to cut the sugar. I have been low carb for a few months and am trying to do keto. Not very good at it though as I tend to give myself a cheat day on the weekends. I can't wait for Easter so I can eat a bloody chocolate bunny. It's really fucking annoying being so careful with what you eat and thinking about chocolate all the time - but still not losing any bloody weight!!

Hard trying to keep up today - you guys have been chatting loads! I've had the workday from hell. I haven't been a teacher, I've been a bodyguard, a police officer, a negotiator, a counsellor and a zoo keeper. Just finished parents' evening. Got it again tomorrow. sigh It'll be stress preventing my fp (love that one) from coming, I tell you.

Love Fp rather than af. I always type sex and period rather than dtd and af but end up deleting them for the Acronyms because that’s why most other people use!

Oh and had to stand and listen to another Nursery Mum go on about her pregnancy and when she is due etc to the Nursery staff. I’m just stood there like a complete idiot wanting to tell her to stfu and get out. Also she is having another boy and I was secretly pleased 🙈 nothing against boys at all, I’d love one but last time I had to hear all this she was saying how she really wanted a girl. I’m not feeling magnanimous today at all.
