Thread 6... 😑

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Starwishing I just throw them in bin too if I can't see a line. I can't see lines in half those pictures but I do understand the desperation to be pregnant so I forgive people.

@Aph413 if your periods are irregular that should be investigated without waiting a year (guidelines). Ask for referral to an endocrinologist.

@Si1ver that's an impressive stash. It is terrible that there's such a lottery for fertility treatments.

@Bubblegum89 I had that for 3 days last month- first period post ERPC and I really was so worried it meant my uterus was even more scarred; but I did go on to bleed properly.

Still nothing happening here. Day 33 of my cycle. Very unusual.

Si1ver · 17/04/2018 15:33

@Paranormalbouquet have you tested lovely? I'm sure you've said and I've forgotten. I'm always (weirdly) impressed by people who have 30+ day cycles. My last few have been 24, although I usually have about 27 with the one weird cycle of 19.

@Bubblegum89 that's rubbish. Hope FP turns up soon.

We're going to Reprofit in the Czech Republic. Hopefully I'll get a bit of a holiday at the same time.

Bubblegum89 · 17/04/2018 15:39

Paranormal that’s good, hopefully that means there’s nothing wrong with me, well not scarring anyway lol it’s taken me 18 months to get to know my body and what’s generally normal and this is so far from it that I think I might just give up lol. Have you not done a test if you’re late?

Thanks si1ver oh yeah I forgot you were going abroad. I hear the success rates are much higher in the rest of Europe. And getting a little holiday out of it isn’t so bad either :)

Si1ver I haven't tested as I'm on strict instructions not to get pregnant and have used condoms this cycle, as booked for surgery in 10 days. And only had sex 4 times, not even when I was ovulating. I'm always on a 28/29 day cycle. Never longer. Usually I ovulate early after a miscarriage (how pathetic is it that I have a usually after miscarriage!).

I need my day 3 bloods taken and obviously can't until I get FP.

I've heard good things about Reprofit, when are you heading over? (One of the girls due on MY due date is having a Reprofit baby, she got lucky first time and has some frozen embryos too).

Si1ver · 17/04/2018 16:03

I'm sad that any one can say usually about MC. This all sucks.

I don't know exactly when I'm heading over as I'm waiting for my period to start, like you @Paranormalbouquet. I hate important things like this being dependent on the whims of my body, which incase you hadn't noticed isn't terribly fucking reliable at the best of times. I'm on CD 22 at the moment, so FP is due to start on Saturday, but could be as late as Monday next week or as early as today. If my body stays on track I'll be flying out on 3rd May for egg retrieval on 4th.

That's so nice to hear about the girl on your group. I'm so desperate to be pregnant before my due date.

catherine1988 · 17/04/2018 16:15

@silver I should be getting my IVF appointments september/ocotber
How is it going have you don't the first jabs yet?

starwishing · 17/04/2018 16:30

@Bubblegum89 how do you know you're not pregnant? I'm on cd21 and my app just told me I have a 1% chance of being pregnant according to the info I have added so I'm not pregnant according to that either! 😆

starwishing · 17/04/2018 16:31

Well today a mum from school turned up with her newborn... she didn't even know she was pregnant!

Si1ver · 17/04/2018 16:39

@catherine1988 no, I'll be starting when my next period starts. I'm doing a short protocol. My lovely best friend who's a midwife is coming to show us how to do the injections.

@starwishing that's a whole new level of babybombing!

starwishing · 17/04/2018 16:41

@Si1ver I know right 😆 I was like "congratulations? Is she a good surprise?" She said she was still in shock and they didn't want any more children so not sure what to do 😳 errrrr I'll have her! 😂

Bubblegum89 · 17/04/2018 16:51

starwishing I know I’m not pregnant because I took a FRER yesterday and it was so stark white it almost blinded me lol. And ouch, that’s a baby bomb and a half! There’s a woman at my DD’s school who has got pregnant, had a baby and got pregnant again in the time I’ve been ttc 🙄

starwishing · 17/04/2018 16:58

I know that feeling. All three royal babies will have been born during this journey 😂 I read the other day (because my fish keep having babies) that they get pregnant every 28 days... imagine the children we would have by now!

starwishing · 17/04/2018 16:59

🤔 when your ttc crazy leads you research fish pregnancy 🤔

Owlpatrol · 17/04/2018 18:34

@Bubblegum89 argh I hate spotting! Hope you get an answer tomorrow. It's the exact same as me this cycle just the usual 8dpo ish "symptoms" I'm not bothered about testing early either this month which is odd for me. Had day 21 bloods this morning. Does anyone know if you get that result or have to wait for day 1 as well and get them at the same time? And roughly how long do they take?

starwishing · 17/04/2018 18:42

@Owlpatrol I got all mine at once as well as OH SA when we went to our RE appointment. He then went through them.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 17/04/2018 19:13

Wonky hope you’re having a good holiday. Pissing it down here.

Welcome Aph!

Star bloody hell. I cannot imagine not knowing, it sounds crazy!

starwishing · 17/04/2018 19:22

@SparkwoodAnd21 it's the second person I've known have it happen In 12 months!

WonkyDonk87 · 17/04/2018 19:22

Sorry about the rain Spark it's 21 degrees here and lovely. Have done 32,750 steps so far (currently resting poor feet in a bidet full of cold water!)

Welcome Aph. I feel your pain, 78 day cycle made me rage. My GP let me have an internal ultrasound (lucky me!) and some bloods but no referral to another service until two years TTC 😒

SparkwoodAnd21 · 17/04/2018 19:26

I’ll never quite understand how they don’t know Star.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 17/04/2018 19:27

wonky I think I’ve done about ten steps today, and most of them were in the pub.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 17/04/2018 19:36

And now I’m having a fuck-it-I’m-not-pregnant glass of wine, because fuck it. Due on tomorrow but obviously I just did a test because I’m a twat. Bollocks to it. 🍷

SoozC · 17/04/2018 19:44

Wow, too fast-flowing today, although I'm trying to read everything. Just barely had time to go to the loo today let alone anything else.

Sticky yellow cm here, think I'm 9dpo. Had another acupuncture session, no indication from her if she "knows". Probably too early though. Although there was probably no indication because there's nothing there...

Well jealous, Wonky, enjoy it for me! x

starwishing · 17/04/2018 20:14

@SoozC my acupuncturist saw me Saturday at 4dpo and said my right ovary was sensitive but didn't explain what that meant 😆

I'm going to work tomorrow to tell them I'm applying for new jobs because I don't want to be a teacher. It's super scary and has made me sick with worry. Literally sick! I just worry that the second I leave I get pregnant and then have no entitlement 😆

SoozC · 17/04/2018 20:35

Snap, Star, I'd love not to be a teacher but I'm hanging in there for the maternity pay, having changed jobs last September. Just hope I don't have a full academic year next year and then can go part-time until I'm ready to give up completely!

Very tired today and dry mouth last two days. Did I say I wasn't symptom spotting? Uh, well...

SoozC · 17/04/2018 21:09

Oh, I forgot to say good luck! Never good giving your notice but you have to do what's right for you x
