So I’ve been ttc over a year have taken various pregnancy tests always nothing.
Today I got this....
Is it just yet another cruel taunt in my journey? It’s a sainburys teat notoriously crap I know but I’ve never got that before.
It was my evening urine held for about 4 hours.

There could be something there but I wouldn’t even bother thinking twice about a blue dye test. If I was you, I’d get a frer. Sainsbury’s blue dyes are notoriously crap. Good luck!

The line looks a bit thin - could be an evap? Grr to blue dye tests. Fx it is something though!

Personally I can see a line. I would definitely pick up a frer though. And I know the feeing, after 18 months of ttc and no pregnancies, I don’t even bother testing anymore

YEAh I think it’s def an evap, ban the blue dyes before I end up crying myself to sleep tonight. Just out of interest how would I know if it was?

Evaps tend to be colourless and off-centre. That line does look a little off-centre, can’t really tell if it has any colour. Maybe try a pink dye anyway, that way you will know either way

Hiya yes it’s def off centre but also def blue. It’s all so so so so so heartbreaking isn’t it. I think I’ll get an early night.
Thank you for your help and I hope to hear from anyone else As to what they think and how I would know for future if it is one or not.

Are you not able to get to the shops tomorrow and pick up a pink dye? I imagine most people who comment on here will just tell you to do another test. Fingers crossed for you

Yes I am, but not first thing.
I’m just going to leave it now. I’ll know in a little while anyway.
I meant their advise on how to know if it happens again sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Those tests are tricky sods but I will say I’ve had one that looked like that that did turn out to be a true BFP.

I did another test this morning and more of a thicker line appeared but I could only see when I took it out the case so I invalidated it anyway

I don't want to get your hopes up but that does look like a positive test (the second one) - problem is like you said it's invalid when removed from the casing.

Could you get some First Response tests? I've found them to be by far the most reliable, although I haven't been pregnant in 2 years - I used them religiously when I conceived my 18 month old.

Hi, if I haven’t come on by Monday I will. But i think I’ll be on later today or tomorrow. This all has a sick and cruel way of doing things like this to me.
The line is colourless only a little hint of blue so I think it’s an evap. Thank you for wishing me luck I appreciate it x

I've done hundreds of tests over the last 7 years and never had an evap. I'd get a FRER. I think you might have a happy surprise but like the pp don't want to get your hopes up.

When are you due on OP? FRER works best from about 3-4 days before you are due on - but it is best to have a concentrated urine, so I'd say if you can, holding for 4/5 hours is best and not to dilute it by drinking loads.

Have you got any ovulation tests?

I was due on Monday, would it still work? I last went wee at 10 and haven’t drank since about 8?

I’ve got nothing we gave up trying last month I chucked everything out and deleted everything. Hence why I went to Sainsbury’s as a last resort bloody things havw made me so anxious
