TTC #2 - March BFPs

Cariad2017 · 23/02/2018 19:54

If you’re ttc #2 and due your AF/ BFP in March then this is the bus for you.

For my sins, I’m a bit of a veteran of the ttc circuit, and ironically if we get a BFP this month, my EDD is likely to be DS’s 3rd Birthday. Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
Cycle: 18 (without a hint of a BFP - yawn)
AF due: 15 March
DS: Aged 2

Desperately hoping to invoke the law of sod this month as we have a fertility clinic appointment on 26 March to get the ball rolling on IVF. You have no idea how much I’d love to cancel it!

Peanut good luck with that NHS appointment, really hope it isn't too long of a wait! How strange with what's going on for you and super frustrating too.

Run out of OPKs so went and picked some up with OH and he nearly had a heart attack at the price hahaha.

Fififiesta · 10/03/2018 21:27

Best of luck peanut - at least your dr is taking things seriously.

I'm definitely out, AF has arrived with a bang this afternoon. Had a long sob on DH mascara everywhere. He doesnt get it, thinks I should just keep hoping and stay positive, I know thats what I need to do but at the moment when AF arrives and I am full of hormones it feels like the world is ending. He did have the good sense to buy chocolate and wine though so all is forgiven Grin Just hope the next 4 weeks go quickly.

Anyone else torn between wanting the TTC time to fly by and wanting time to stop as DC#1 is growing up at the speed of light????

CatRen27 · 10/03/2018 21:48

Sorry you're out fifi, i totally agree.. as my dd is about to turn 3 i certainly don't want to wish away the time. Fx for you next month, and hope dh starts to understand how much of an emotional strain this all is Cake

peanut I've started spotting just before ovulation, which I'd describe as a light period as there was loads. Could it be this?

TwittleBee · 10/03/2018 22:39

fifi totally understand! Major sympathy for you with AF in full flow. Glad OH got you goodies at least. Fingers crossed for next month lovely.

CatRen ooo glad you mentioned that! I had a bit of spotting today, cramping like crazy and so though ovulation must be happening. Still negative on OPKs though. So I guess it's just all happening before? CD16 today though so really thought that would have happened by now

CatRen27 · 11/03/2018 00:01

twittlebee yeah i spotted on and off from cd10-15 then ovulated on cd17. I never really get true positives on opks so know i ov'd by temping. Could still be coming!

Attached my chart fyi

TTC #2 - March BFPs
TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 07:06

Ah yeah that is interesting to look at!

I did try plotting temp but it didn't work for me. Think it's because DS wakes up during night still sometimes or I wake up early for work

Happy Mothers day all Flowers you're all such brilliant mummies

Violet1988 · 11/03/2018 07:31

Hi currently cycle 5 TTC #2. DS is 21 months an breastfed, AF came back at 17 months pp. Nightweaned this cycle so hoping that will make some difference to my luteal phase which is currently averaging at 8 days. AF due 23rd march an i turn 30 on the 15th. Good luck to everyone x

TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 07:48

Violet hi there and good luck lovely!

BadBadBeans · 11/03/2018 12:07

@LopeyLopez - I'm glad seeing the BFPs gives you hope. I have been feeling bad about coming on here and immediately getting pregnant when so many people are having such a rough time.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone. I took another test this morning and it came up darker and faster so I am feeling like it's a bit more real. Fingers crossed everything continues well.

Hoping everyone has a lovely Mothers' Day today and that there are lots more BFPs to come soon xx

Fififiesta · 11/03/2018 13:40

Cat and Twittle thank you for your kind words I have got over myself this morning and pulled myself together. PMA and all that.

Huge congratulations BadBadBeans a fantastic mothers day gift for you.

TMI Blush but AF is causing havok here. Last month I had a weird period...a weiriod? Grin which was really slow and um...brown. ConfusedBlush. This month she is back and lets just say that she is making herself known Shock. Hoping that its a fresh start and crossing everything for a BFP in April.

Violet I still BF but have had AF back a long time, over a year I think - do you think it makes a difference? I don't BF at night only in the day if I am with DC.

stegosauruslady · 11/03/2018 14:10

I abandoned the thread for a week because I was going crazy. Still crazy symptom spotting but I need the outlet now!

Boobs are bigger (according to DP, who had a good feel last night!) and are fucking killing me. Also, I'm knackered and have been napping for an hour before picking the DDs up from school. Very unlike me. However, I'm actually not that hopeful. DP is convinced that this is our month though!

TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 14:27

BadBadBeans oh lovely that it's so much more obvious on the stick now! Is OH more enthusiastic too now as a result?

Urgh fifi not great to hear havoc AF for you but yes hopefully means body getting proper sorted ready for a successful April!

Oh stego it really super duper does sound promising! You POAS yet? I'd so would have

Fififiesta · 11/03/2018 15:01

Twittle do you think so? Like a spring clean lol

TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 15:30

Haha fifi yeah that's how maybe it will be for you! I fricking hope so too.

Violet1988 · 11/03/2018 16:58

Hi Fifi, I think for me bf is making a difference as my luteal phase is so short. I'm really hoping that this been my first cycle since nightweaning will make the difference. I have seen a change already as I got a positive opk today on cd14. Whereas with the previous five months I wasn't getting a positive until day 16/17 an then getting AF between Cd24-26. So if cycle stays the same length this month, then my luteal phase will be viable for pregnancy. Trying not to get my hopes up though! Are you using opks? How often does your little one feed, my boy feeds what feels like a million times a day! I'm not anywhere near ready to wean yet though x

Fififiesta · 11/03/2018 17:24

Violet I haven't really been using OPKs, I had some but I couldnt test every day so I didnt bother getting any more when they ran out. I might get some for this month because I dont know what is going on with my cycle. I BF 1-3 times a day, depends how much I am with DC because I am at work some days, are you a SAHM right now? You have done very well to feed at night for so long, I had enough of that very quickly lol

Twittle I hope so too, I need to see it as clensing rather than disappointing lol

biglittleliar · 11/03/2018 17:38

I'm back with a name change from user1469732658 on page 3.

We managed to DTD on CD9, 10, 12, 13 and 15. It was f*cking knackering and we managed to miss out on CD14 when I got a positive OPK. Now I guess it's just a case of hoping we never have to go through that again Hmm

I wasn't going to POAS unless AF is late, but how am I going to get through the 2WW? Any suggestions (other than symptom spotting of course)?

Bambamber · 11/03/2018 17:53

Thanks for your kind words ladies!

So glad to see a couple of BFPs! Big congratulations! I have my fingers crossed that we will see some more before the month is through

Been going a little crazy the last few days with a few symptoms. Lots of quite bad cramps, loss of appetite, nausea, cold symptoms, headaches and extra fatigue. It couldn't possibly be my endometriosis and a cold causing those symptoms, must be pregnant despite all the negative tests Hmm need to step away from the pee sticks Grin

Violet1988 · 11/03/2018 18:25

Fifi, I work part time 1 or 2 days a week alternate weeks, so mostly I'm home with my boy the whole time. On work days he feeds less just morning, when I get home and then to get to sleep. If it's a day at home then he's permanently attached anytime I sit down or were indoors! X

TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 20:51

OPK finally came back positive (CD17) Literally DTD as soon as the smiley face on the test appeared haha.

CatRen27 · 12/03/2018 04:23

twittle what did i tell you! Great I'm glad you caught it just in time. Fx!

At 9dpo here and my temp rose again after a slight dip so I'm still in for a chance. Obviously i poas this morning (old habits die hard..) and it's obviously a bfn! face palm

I'll be back here with my bfns all week so prepare yourselves to be bored senseless...! Grin

TwittleBee · 12/03/2018 06:22

CatRen i know haha, now I know what to look out for. Just seems strange how I had no EWCM at all yesterday but instead dry!
Bless you with POAS, I'm the same too. Even if I have no symptoms I'll still do it haha.

MynameisJune · 12/03/2018 06:58

I caved and tested again with an IC, complete BFN. It was only about a 4hr hold though as I had to pee at 2am. I’m definitely not testing again now until next week if af hasn’t arrived but I highly doubt I’m pregnant as I’m sure an IC should be picking something up by now.

Cariad2017 · 12/03/2018 07:41

How utterly rubbish Mynameis, although a 4 hour hold isn’t all that long and some ICs are notoriously unreliable, so you’re definitely not out until the red lady sings. I shall be keeping everything crossed that AF stays away.

10dpo at this end. Expecting AF on Friday. I experienced the usual hormone crash last night and my heart rate has dropped so I’m fairly sure that as ever I’m out. Roll on Cycle 20....

Paranormalbouquet · 12/03/2018 08:18

June I’m so sorry, hopefully you did ovulate late and are still in with a chance.

Cariad how reliable do you find heart rate monitoring? I note mine doesn’t drop until after my period starts so isn’t a great predictor for me.

Just as well I’m not trying this month. I’ve clearly done something truly terrible in a previous life as have developed a horrible wisdom tooth infection (10 years of impacted teeth with no problems and now this!). Have a lovely swollen face now and can barely open my mouth; started back on antibiotics yesterday after emergency dentist drained some pus from the abscess (what a super mother’s day!). At least I can take antibiotics and anti-inflammatories without worrying.
