A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

Had another scan today. Follicle is still growing, looks like I'll ovulate soon, so now I'm to DTD every two days. Would be getting my next apoointment on Monday to see if it had happened yet, but I'm out the country for a few days so won't be able to go back till Friday! Thankfully DH is coming with and is quite happy to DTD plenty!

Tried to make a joke about it today (after already having jokingly reffered to DTD as a prescription) and said "So I'll need to get my prescription on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday, will you CUM with me to get it filled?" and I honestly had to repeat my naff joke three times as he kept asking if I could get it at any pharmacy, even ones abroad, hahaha. Way over his head!

@sooz thank you. Didn’t even bother testing this morning. Slept rubbish last night and that’s always a precursor to af for me. So pretty sure it will be here soon.

Now that af has decided to disappear this month for a few days it’s pushed my FW back to a time when DH will be away with work. So pretty much already out for March and last chance at a 2018 baby.

@LookingAtTheStars89 it is harder! I'm close to just buying my own ultrasound machine lol!!

June That's rubbish. My AF has also gone MIA after some spotting on Thursday but my boobs are not sore anymore so it must be imminent not worth wasting another test.

@pink my af is also MIA after cramping on Thursday. Been quite hot but don’t know if that’s the milder weather or pre af temp rise! Tempted to torture myself and poas but I’m only cd28 and after ov cd16 I would only expect af tomorrow or Monday so I should really save the test. Let it keep gathering dust!

@pink sorry your af is still missing. Mine too is still awol. I have no idea what is going on. I’ll wait until Tuesday to test if af hasn’t arrived by then. Hope either af arrives or you get a bfp!

Where has all the af gone @june?! You are v strong waiting til Tuesday. So frustrating that your next fw has moved as a result- mine is currently due for when we’re away for a few days which would be perfect so I hope my body sorts it out ASAP!

@lexie the bloody witch (pun intended 😂) needs to get here ASAP if she is coming. Hope yours stays away and you get a bfp. DH is away mon - fri for he next two months so I think I’ll have to just live with the enforced break.

I should add if af had arrived on time fw would have started next Friday and we’d have at least got 3 or 4 times in before DH went away. I’m so annoyed 😒

Bloody witch hahaha I'm 16 days late now and nothing but spotting when have a BM no cramps just lower back ache and hot all the time then obviously to make things annoying my cervix is medium blends in with the wall and closed but of course a negative test. It's all a head fuck game I think

Well AF has arrived properly this time. In away I feel like this fertility clinic referal has taken the pressure off a bit. Like I've admitted that we are not likely to get pregnant before then anyway.

Sorry about AF @pinkdonkey. I felt the same after referral - a bit calmer & resigned to it taking a while x

To be honest I stopped really expecting a BFP a while ago the obviously I still hope for it every month. Having the referal gives me some hope again.

Sorry everyone is feeling crappy at the moment :( it’s a week until my period is due and I realised tonight that I’ve been subconsciously feeling hopeful for this cycle and I just know when af shows up and going to be so upset. This sucks.

Am hoping that AF stays away from you all.

Mine finally arrived 8 days late. I was coping ok the last few months but this really messed with my head.

We must be about the same stage in cycle @Bubblegum89 - my AF due on 20th. After spending last couple of days reading about pcos and endo I have no hope left of bfps!!

@bubble the cycles where I’ve been hopeful for one reason or another have been the hardest. I hope af stays away for you.

@chook sorry you’re feeling hopeless, pcos and endo are tough diagnoses to hear I can imagine. But I do know people that have conceived naturally with these so there is always a bit of hope. Big hugs.

As for me, af is still MIA 🙄 just wish she’d arrive now so I can move onto the next cycle even though DH will be away.

Morning ladies, sorry to hear the dreaded witch has caught some of us again. Never gets easier.
I think I'm about halfway through the 2ww and ov'd on the 4th. If that is the case, then it'll be my first ever 31 day cycle (and praise be to Agnus Castus for that!). Feel like we're starting all over again and the last 18 months were pointless 😒

Morning ladies. Been off the board for a while but wanted to pop on to offer some *tentative hope.
We got our bfp a week ago at 13dpo. We have been trying for our first child for around 20 months. We caught after 6 months but that resulted in a chemical at 5 wks. Things feel different this time. Lines have become stronger but id like them to be darker for reassurance. Im living in fear of the dreaded chemical happening again. I wont be 100% content until im at least 6 weeks but we are delighted and remaining optimistic.

Congratulations @minime2017. I really understand your apprehension, if I ever get pregnant again I think I'll be in turmoil until after the 20 week scan. Hope all goes smoothly for you
