Thread five!

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

Well he did ask and I did tell him. But he tends to get bogged down with wanting to know exactly when, but I say as I'm not doing opks or bbt I'm not quite sure. That frustrates him as I can't give him exact dates.

sooz we have a calendar on our fridge and I put big stars on the days we need to dtd. It was getting annoying having to bring it up all the time so I do it that way so we can both see visually when it’s time lol

@pibbee I thought amh was just an indicator off egg reserve, not quality. They can only check the quality in a dish if you go down ivf?

Well, you know, when you do A LOT of tests it can be difficult to know what you're looking at.

I don't have the money for A LOT of tests. I just have a couple that sit in the cupboard until they're past their use by date!

@LexieJean. Yeah, I hate the awkwardness of it! My DH has sleep apnea and sometimes he'll be like "let's dtd" but then he will get in bed and fall asleep! It is mortifying I don't feel like I can wake him up to dtd - like some crazy sex pest lol.

@Bubblegum89. I love your calendar idea I might do one and draw little pictures on the relevant dates

@Si1ver. I think even with data my DH would be confuddled bless him I think he genuinely believes you can dtd any time and get upduffed!

Got another consultation at the fertility clinic tomorrow to go over my HyCoSy results and look at next steps. So tired of all this back and forth, I wish someone could just tell me what’s wrong and how it can be fixed. Sigh.

On a brighter note, managed to dtd tonight - woohoo - one day down ??? to go!

@MynameisJune yes, we have a DS. So I guess no IVF.

I am also available for coat holding and brow mopping for anyone doing any punching. People are fucking idiots.

Do I have to go to a clinic for AMH testing?

@SparkwoodAnd21 technically no. I posted a few days back about having to wait six months for day 21 to fall on a week day. I have had my tsets done online/through the mail. It's not advised if you want to interpret the results yourself but mine are getting sent to a private if clinic.
