Hi ladies,

Would love to know how people have got on with this bracelet? Is it worth the £200 price tag?

Many thanks x

Hi everyone! If, like OP, you're after an Ava bracelet to track your cycle, you can get your hands on one here. MNHQ.

I finally managed to persuade my husband and my Ava bracelet arrived today (I ordered last Thursday, so it’s taken 6 days) I’m excited to start wearing it and to see what happens!! I’ve added the dates of my previous cycle and it’s predicting future cycles and ovulation to be the same time as other apps I have (Flo and Glow) although I’m sure the data from wearing it overnight will hopefully predict more accurate data regarding ovulation!

Any idea how I become part of Ava Facebook groups? And are they private? I don’t want the whole of Facebook to find out I’m TTC!

Thanks 🙂

BeckyG86 · 20/02/2019 18:32

The private group is called Ava Ambassadors. They ask you some basic questions then you wait until they accept you. I think there is a link through the app or the website but I can’t find it. It may come through in an email to you once you have registered.

Hollywood7 · 21/02/2019 16:46

Hi Everyone,
I’m new to Mumsnet and just starting out on the TTC journey. I’ve had a few gynaecological issues over the last 18 months so have been tracking my cycle with Natural cycles over the past year which has been great but I’m definitely ready for something more indepth and less dependant on regular wake up time & trips to the loo!
At £250 I wasn’t sure whether to go for it but after reading this thread I’ve taken the leap and gone for the Ava bracelet, I can’t wait to get started on this journey! X

It is an expensive piece of kit but if you or anyone you know is looking to purchase it, this referral link gets you £20 off:

Hi all! We're TTC for the first time. For the last 6 months i have used the ovulation urine tests and a thermometer from Femometer which links to an app. I personally found it difficult to always take my temp at the same time each day (which created anomalies in the data) and testing my urine throughout the day during a peak (especially at work). I found it all stressful and consuming my every thought which i can only imagine will have a negative impact when TTC.

I considered the ava bracelet for a while but was initally put off by the cost. However, putting wellbeing first i decided to go for it. The peace of mind of just putting the bracelet on to sleep and not having to do all the other testing has made it worth every penny. It's also helped me to learn more about my body from seeing the daily measurements which is a huge positive. I'd definitely recommend the bracelet!

I have a discount code if anyone would like to get some money off their purchase -

Wishing lots of luck to those TTC xx

Jen306 · 23/02/2019 16:05

Hi everyone. Been thinking if I don’t get my bfp in next cycle or 2 that I’d try temping but don’t think regular temping will work for me as I’m up at variable times etc and think it will cause too many anomalies in the data. So been reading about AVA but the price is making me stop and think rather than just jumping in and seeing what happens.
Can any users tell me if the app interprets the charts for you or if you need to do it yourself? Does it predict and notify fertile windows etc? I understand what data it collects, just seen lots of charts on the website which i don’t know how to interpret, I guess you pick it up but don’t want to spend hours trying to figure out what’s going on so just wondering what info the app tells you. If that makes sense!

felicityheather · 28/02/2019 11:13

It does, but only after a few months is it very useful otherwise you've still got to look yourself really

OP posts:
Hollywood7 · 28/02/2019 12:05

I’m still waiting for mine to arrive but I watched a couple of YouTube videos that gave me more of an overview of what the app looks like & what to expect from the data. I think it will take a little bit of time to fully understand it all. The 9 different parameters that it uses to formulate the algorithm specifically to your body really sold it for me. I just watched a video from a woman whose conception and pregnancy was monitored by the bracelet and you could see changes (like body temp) almost instantly after conception.
If you are thinking about giving it a try this referral link gets you £20 off:

GeorgieRyan · 08/03/2019 19:52

So I’ve been using my Ava bracelet for 2 weeks now and so far so good! It seems ‘know’ my cycle already based on info I put in so we’ll see what happens!

If anyone would like a £20 off code just use this link and type AVABFF18 in at the checkout!

0lapislazuli · 12/03/2019 08:59

Another update:

I finished my second complete cycle. Last cycle, I saw my temperature drop towards the end. This time, the temperature kept rising, as well as my heart rate and when I tested I got a bfp! Ava has definitely helped to pinpoint the most fertile time. I am still using it now because it has a pregnancy mode that gives you info on your sleep and stress levels. It also has week-by-week info on pregnancy and the development of the baby.

They’re still doing £20 off. Just follow the link and at the top of the screen a discount code will appear that you can add to checkout: avawomen.ref-r.com/c/i/12607/20140318

0lapislazuli · 12/03/2019 09:05

Just wanted to add we’d been trying for 18 months and had been using Ava for three cycles. Can’t say for sure it was Ava that did it in the end, but I know it definitely helped me to understand my cycle better without all the hassle of opks + temping. I also found that Ava took all the guess work away and I found it very accurate. I am glad I got it and think it’s definitely worth it.

MamaRidleyDog · 02/04/2019 14:51

Thanks to Hollywood I just used your code to get my £20 off my order!

And thanks for everyone who has posted stories and updates I have read every post in this chat before deciding to take the expensive plunge on Ava. I have everything crossed it helps.

Have been TTC for Baby #2 for about 10 months now, sadly had a early MC 7 months ago as well and haven't had a positive ovulation test since and my cycles are all over the place - last one was 65 days!

Preying this tech at least gives me better clarity on if I am ovulating and if not at last I can go to the doc.

Baby dust to all! x

pinacollama · 02/04/2019 16:40

Oh wow, congratulations 0lapislazuli ! Fabulous news. Wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy.

It’s been interesting seeing the difference between my erratic pattern last cycle and my pattern this cycle which is more ‘textbook’ - I’m attributing it to a combination of weekly acupuncture sessions and daily agnus castus. Even my stress levels are much lower on my chart since I started accupuncture (and I feel more relaxed!).

0lapislazuli · 04/04/2019 20:55

Thanks @pinacollama!

It’s great to see that what you’re doing is improving your cycles and stress levels. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for some happy news for you this month xx

KJB83 · 11/04/2019 16:26

So ladies, I took the painful, expensive plunge and received my AVA bracelet yesterday. Even though my purse hurts (cannot believe they added tax) I am so excited!!

We have been TTC for 13 months, we have been tested and OH is all good and I am just a little under average follicle wise for my age (argggg!)

I have never temped but I do pee on sticks which is a pain at 5am in the morning. It also gets expensive month on month as I do not get on with cheap OPKs and use clearblue.

I thought I was pretty regular but then last cycle I ovulated 1 whole week after I had expected to based on previous months...to say the least it pissed me off as I thought I was just skipping Ovulation altogether- that is what convinced me to buy AVA. I hope that it just takes the stress out of it all tbh and allow me to 'relax' (so sick of hearing that)

So my fingers are well and truly crossed! :-)

If anyone needs £20 off here is my referral code:

Thought I’d pass on the discount link I’ve just received tonight. I’m in my second cycle with Ava, it’s a lot of money but this code gives you £20 off. Hope it helps Smilehttps://avawomen.ref-r.com/c/i/12607/28782436?r=email

dahlia123 · 17/04/2019 19:55

Hi

Have just posted this info in another thread but also adding here incase it helps as I read lots of forums and reviews before buying my bracelet.

TLDR of what is below: Ava made me realise I was ovulating later than expected. OPK picked up peak but O day was 5 days after that.

Code for £20 off if anyone fancies it:
https://avawomen.ref-r.com/c/i/12607/28428171

I've been using an Ava for nearly two cycles. I did a lot of reading before I bought as it's not a cheap thing. But decided that temping with a thermometer would stress me out as I work shifts, and may not even work. Also that I spend enough on Clear Blue flashy/smiley opks. I used my last ones this month and not going to buy any more.

Haven't got the result I want yet but would say it's been good for me as there's no need for alarms or waking up.

But more importantly, Clear Blue had my a peak fertile day about 5 days before I actually ovulated. With EWCM and the BBT chart from Ava I knew I hadn't, but I wouldn't have checked for EWCM iyswim.

Think my body geared up for O but it didn't happen.
Initially I had more faith in CB, but now I'm sticking with Ava as it consistently said I was going to O the date that it actually happened.

I'm currently 4dpo and symptom spotting like mad - feeling a bit crampy and hoping it's not cos I had an extra large burrito.

jol4 · 24/04/2019 13:17

I have an unopened brand new bracelet just got delivered today, however I have just found out I'm pregnant. Would anyone like to buy this?

seven201 · 04/05/2019 16:46

Hi all. I'm on my second cycle of using Ava (I bought it after reading this thread). It's been nearly 1.5 years of trying now so I'm hoping this is the answer!

Here's my referral link. Gives you and me £20 off I believe

https://avawomen.ref-r.com/c/i/12607/27513169

seven201 · 04/05/2019 16:48

Don't think that worked?
You need to put the code AVABFF18 in at the checkout and the £20 off will happen then.

Emdj · 09/05/2019 07:12

My Ava bracelet arrived two days ago and I’m already intrigued to look at my data each morning!

I have a code which will give us both £20 off - follow the link and type in AVABFF18 at the checkout.

Thanks!

Huffaluba · 09/05/2019 18:45

Hi jol4
I am just thinking of getting one of these
How much are you selling yours for?
Thanks

Izwhizz · 13/05/2019 19:51

Hi All,

I’ve been following this feed for about a year and after a miscarriage in December decided to purchase an Ava bracelet in April with a discount code.
I’ve been really impressed with the bracelet & all the data it collects. I have found it so easy to wear - just remember to charge it daily.
In the few months of wearing the bracelet it calculated my ovulation date to be a couple of days after the ovulation date on the app I was using. And today I have had a positive pregnancy test! After nearly 2 years of trying, I really feel the bracelet has aided this positive result.
Thank you to everyone sharing their codes, it certainly makes a small difference to the overall cost.
I would definitely recommend the Ava bracelet & look forward to the data it collects during pregnancy.
If anyone would like my £20 off code it is:
avawomen.ref-r.com/c/i/12607/29156907
Type in AVABF18 at checkout, thanks xxx

user1486281491 · 13/05/2019 20:53

Hi All
I'm looking to purchase an Ava fertility bracelet, but I'm a little confused...independently going on to the website it offers you 2 options, just the bracelet (£149) and a monthly subscription (£14.99), or the all inclusive bundle(£299).
But when following the links provided in this chat, only gives 1 option, a bracelet for £249, but doesn't mention subscription, whether it is included or to be paid for in addition?
Any one know about this?
Thanx
Danielle

dahlia123 · 13/05/2019 21:10

Hi @user1486281491

I think the subscription is for US only.

I bought mine a few months ago and haven't paid any extra on top of the initial amount (£249-£20 with a link and code).

If you haven't got a discount code already here's one: https://www.avawomen.com/?utmsource=invitereferrals&utmmmedium=others&utmcampaign=UKKReferralProgram&utmmcontent=28428171&irnotify=12607&irrco=KIERZLAT
