We’re DTD when we feel like it and not using contraception but realistically I know it’s a very small chance of success until after AF. It’d feel weird to use contraception when we’re TTC #1. And you?

MrsMogginsMinge · 14/02/2018 22:17

Tweedles we are in a spookily similar situation - I am TTC DC2, MC in early December, chemical last week (BFP on Wednesday, AF on Saturday). How weird is that. Hopefully this is our month - the universe owes us!

MrsMogginsMinge · 14/02/2018 22:23

Meant to add that we are cracking straight on this month - nurse at the EPU in December said waiting a cycle was only for dating purposes and I’m choosing to believe that I am more fertile right now than I was last year (when it took 6+ mths to get knocked up the first time)

Mangopassionfruit · 14/02/2018 23:02

Hi everyone, hope it’s ok if I join. Had a chemical in December then straight away got pregnant again. Had a scan on Sunday at 8 weeks and there’s no baby - just an empty sac. Appointment at EPU on Monday and provisionally booked in for D&C on Wednesday if nothing happens naturally before. I still have symptoms though and I just feel that my body hasn’t realised yet. Obviously not TTC right at this moment but for various reasons don’t want to wait long after it’s over and thought I would say hi now. If anyone has been in similar boat/has any advice I’m all ears xx

tweedles1511 · 15/02/2018 07:33

@mrsmoggins that's really weird!! Sorry to hear your in same boat. Yes let's hope we both have some luck soon. Does anyone one know if cycle should return straight to normal after chemical? Should we be ovulating normal time?

@Mango I recognise you from another thread post hope you are bearing up ok. The waiting game is so tough. For me it happened naturally but in some ways I wish I'd had the D&C as it took for ever for hug levels to drop and part of me is questioning whether the latest chemical was due to everything not being cleared properly although GP told me that's very unlikely.

Boboelephant · 15/02/2018 07:52

@PassTheAfterEights hope your wildly romantic feast was a success! Are you going to keep testing?
@Cookiefiend sorry af arrived but glad your body seems to be sorting itself out a bit. Ahhh man flu- the worst!! Hope you don't have to endure it for long! 🤤
Welcome to the newbies although sorry you're here. This is a lovely supportive thread.

weasledee · 15/02/2018 07:59

Morning all and Hello to the new joiners,
Sorry u find yourself here....

Well 9 DPO and I still feel queasy and have some mild cramps but this could be AF coming?! Tempted to test tomorrow but trying to wait till the weekend.....

Boboelephant · 15/02/2018 08:13

Fingers crossed @Weasledee 🤞🤞

AF has just arrived for me after my month off so keen to crack on for next month. 33 days after 32 days last time so at least it's pretty consistent. Going to keep seed cycling and hope it shortens my long cycles!

Mangopassionfruit · 15/02/2018 08:38

Hi @tweedles1511 - yes I remember you too, you had the same as me but the other way around? I can answer your question about ovulation after chemical - started bleeding for chemical on 19th December and ovulated around 1st/2nd Jan - so was normal length of time. Actually for me it was shorter than normal, had been ovulating quite late. I think I’m pretty certain about going for D&C.

Argh I can’t beleive I’m back on this board :-( DPs best friend is due a couple of days before we would have been - they went for early scan before us when they heard we were going for one and were raving about how amazing it was to hear the heartbeat etc and I just keep picturing that big black hole :-(. They weren’t trying. It’s just typical as it will be there as a constant reminder.

Wishing lots of luck to all those who have AF due in the next few days.

Xx

Cakelaur · 15/02/2018 09:27

@weasledee you have much better will power than me! I had my bfp at 10dpo last time. Tested the last three days at 8/9/10dpo and negative. There's a possible hint of a shadow on an ic so I did an frer this morning too... but don't think there's anything there. So I guess I'll keep testing until the weekend.
Had a massive cry session at hubby last night. Rather embarrassing... we went out to the pub. And I burst in to tears saying it didn't matter as much to him as it does me cos he has an 11yr old son from a previous relationship. And I can feel myself getting resentful towards his son, who I love to bits. But that I feel myself becoming depressed about it and how I would go to all lengths to have a baby and how he wouldn't. And the desire to grow and hold my own baby is overwhelming and how it's not fair. And I can't get over the fact that I would have been into 2nd trimester now and how if we don't have a baby this year I dunno what I'm gonna do!! #romanticvalentinesday 🙈

PassTheAfterEights · 15/02/2018 10:13

@boboelephant DH was on location yest & came home for 8.10pm, I was all ready to go - oven on, bubbles out (for him) but he mislaid a bit of kit needed for today. Two return trips to his kit store, the second of which I attended, two withdrawals of the starter from the oven and we sat down at 2154. He had a 5am start today so straight to bed w indigestion = winning Grin

Sorry about the witch and hope march is your month! Tested 0600 today and basically nothing - driving myself mad trying to see something but just don't think it's there. I know 9dpo isn't exactly "out" but baffled about squinter two days ago, there must have been an embryo but something went wrong w implantation - all i can think of to explain it Confused

xLeanne128 · 15/02/2018 10:34

What is my body doing after MC? I just want to know when I bloody ovulate so we can try again but my opks are confusing me. Are any of these positive?

Haha @PassTheAfterEights your story made me laugh!! 😆 Ours was similarly romantic. Myself and two year old DS are horribly jetlagged as just returned from holiday on Sunday. DH had booked dinner and babysitter but we were both so exhausted as DS hasn't been sleeping due to jet lag. Babysitter was booked until 10pm, at 8:30pm we looked at each other and said 'should we just go home?' Snoring by 9pm, DS awake at 4am. Winning!
Yeah the witch always sucks but glad she's here this month as I was away from DH so she was always coming! Now at least I can look forward to March rather than obsess that I created a miracle immaculate conception! 😂
Sorry about your bfn- it's really strange to get a squinter at 7dpo then nothing. How odd! Hope we both get the sticky beans soon!

Boboelephant · 15/02/2018 10:46

@Cakelaur and @Mangopassionfruit sorry you both are having a tough time. This ttc stuff can be really hard! Sending hugs!!

@xLeanne128 I'm no expert but need to learn as I'm going to use opks this month. The one in the first pic and bottom on last pic look positive to me.

Claire138 · 15/02/2018 16:45

Hi to the new ladies and sorry you’re here. I’m currently 6dpo in my first ttc cycle since mmc in December. @weasledee, @passtheaftereights and @cakelaur you guys are a few days ahead of me so I have my fingers crossed for you guys!! Let us know how you get on. Of course I am hyper sensitive and massively over analysing every twinge in the hope it’s a sign of pregnancy 🤞 going to wait till Sunday to see if I get any stronger signs and if not hold off to closer to af which is due next Friday...hate this wait!!
GL to the ladies who have just got their af, at least now you can get back on track of your cycles!

PassTheAfterEights · 15/02/2018 19:12

@Boboelephant 8.30pm, absolute classic Grin sitter must have been delighted to get her Valentine's back! Ah well congrats on CD1 and get that cape ready for next weekend ;)

I have solved my own problem by PO all remaining S and dumping the lot in the bin (wasteful I know but they were freebies), which has definitely taken them down a peg or two and allowed me to achieve something else with the day.

Thanks @Claire138 and good luck to you too, I was twinge-ing all over the place at 6dpo, three days on I'm just knackered and clearly losing the plot sorely tempted with Wine tonight to invoke law of sod

Good luck @Claire138. Fingers crossed for you.
Haha thanks @PassTheAfterEights. Good job taking the power back from those P sticks! 😂
I say have that glass of 🍷

Martydog · 15/02/2018 21:04

@xLeanne128 I had positive ovulation tests after my miscarriage up to at least 2 weeks after so I stopped testing until after af then they seems to go back to normal.

weasledee · 15/02/2018 21:46

Arrhhhh ladies so I buckled and decided after a meal out with family I'd insist we stopped at Tesco to "buy a coupe of things" really I wanted to buy a FRER and do a test tonight!!!
Can u believe Tesco didn't have any??? And it's a HUGE store! Urgh feel gutted now and spent the last 30 mins like a possessed person looking for a pregnancy test in the house. Needless to say I found none!
Going to have to wait till tomorrow.... Smile

Martydog · 15/02/2018 22:06

@weasledee I know how you feel I did a test this morning even though I'm only 7/8 dpo just in case it might be positive, problem is I only have 2 more tests left until the 30 from amazon arrive. Why do we do this to ourselves?

weasledee · 15/02/2018 22:34

Ha Marty I know, my OH thinks I'm a looney! I too have ordered some internet cheapies but they only come on Saturday and I can't wait that long! Grin

TeaFanatic · 15/02/2018 22:39

Hello, please could I join? I have one DC already. Had a tfmr 2years ago. And not been using contraception since around 3 months after and nothings happening. Beginning to get quite worried somethings wrong. Going to the GP soon when I can face it to speak to them about next steps. Also looking to buy some ovulation tests, can anyone recommend any? Thanks x

weasledee · 15/02/2018 22:55

Hi tea, sorry to hear of your tfmr, I was booked for one of those but baby passed away beforehand.... not a nice time....
I buy my ovulation tests from amazon, about 15 I think for a few pounds x

TeaFanatic · 16/02/2018 08:19

I’m so sorry for your loss weasledee Flowers I’ll have a look now thank you! Since my loss my periods have been all over the place, so no idea when I’m ov. I’ve been as much as 2 weeks late! Which is unusual to me before my loss.
