Weeeeeelllllllllll I caved!!!! I woke up with tingly boobs... of course at 8dpo it was as negative as it gets!! 🤣😂 but still thirsty, hand and dry, moody as hell, weird hip ache and tingly shooty pain boobs = too early to test you muppet... go back to sleep!!! 🙈

ek78 · 13/02/2018 08:28

Aw! Good luck @cakelaur!! Still WAY early!

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 08:33

Probably not a bad idea @dulwichdays. I know it's hard but MC can play havoc with our bodies. Hope it sorts itself out soon!
@cakelaur still very early! Fx for a bfp for you soon- symptoms do sound promising.

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 08:35

I'm expecting af tomorrow and ready to get back on the wagon. I'm still seed cycling, bought a bunch of opks and am going to try SMEP. Any other tips??? All advice welcome! Esp anything anyone did that then got them their bfp!

tweedles1511 · 13/02/2018 09:25

SMEP worked 2 times out of 3 for me. Also eating pineapple DPO 3-7. And warm foods post ovulation. www.parenting.com/article/what-eat-conceive
I think generally just nourishing your body can't be a bad thing whatever happens.

Llondbol · 13/02/2018 11:02

@Boboelephant we used Natural Cycles and their BBT thermometer to pinpoint my most fertile week/10 days; made love every other day on those days (red days on the app) and we got our BFP on the third month. Before that we'd been trying for 7 months using OPKs to time sex perfectly for ovulation, but I found that all a bit stressful and didn't always get a positive OPK. It's just what worked for us, but there's more info and a welcome offer here if you think it could work for you goo.gl/uh5eq4

Llondbol · 13/02/2018 11:17

PS @tweedles1511 what's SMEP? x

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 13/02/2018 11:21

@Llondbol Probably the 'sperm meets the egg plan' Smile

Llondbol · 13/02/2018 11:31

@UnicornsandRainbows1 ooooh I haven't heard of that - I'll have a look now. Up for trying anything! Not that I'm desperate or anything Halo

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 11:39

Thanks @tweedles1511 and @Llondbol!! Will check out those articles 😀👍
Yep @Llondbol SMEP is sperm meets egg plan. I'm going to try it this month.

Random question for all you SMEP'ers- does it matter if you have sex more often? So if you chucked in another day on the every second day part? Just wondering if they just say every second day to make sure that you are dtd enough and regularly or if it is because you are giving semen time to replenish? Does that make sense?

Kingy2910 · 13/02/2018 12:07

Hi boboelephant ....I've been reading in the back ground as having a tough week this week. Anyhoo they say every other day or third day to make sure there's plenty of strong swimmers to make it!!! If you have sex every day you are "apparently " using fresh sperm that need to grow slightly.....either way I'm sure you're having fun trying 😁

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 12:31

Haha thanks @Kingy2910!! Sure I'll be exhausted and not trying to cram in more but was just thinking as trying to keep it somewhat spontaneous so DH doesn't feel like he's on a timetable!

Kingy2910 · 13/02/2018 12:34

He'll know he will be on a timetable. Once I'm sorted my hubby knows that too hahaha

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 12:45

Haha yeah! After so long it kinda loses the spontanaeity doesn't it!

ek78 · 13/02/2018 13:28

I found the SMEP timetable a bit much - my guy knew the timetable too and it wasn't the most romantic experience - but it did the trick in my case...

Lovemysparkle · 13/02/2018 13:32

I’m doing smep this cycle started dtd on cd 8 then 10 then 12 got a positive opk on mid morning of cd 13 so dtd that night then 14 and last night cd15 having a day off today then back to it tomorrow cd17 ( spot on timing for Valentine’s Day ❤️) it’s my first ever time using opks & I’m doing them approx 12-12.30 lunchtime & at 8ish evening time. Haven’t found it to much of a head f*k me & dp been putting them all in order (like a school project 🙈) smep seems to be ok for us as a couple both work full time during the day so both together at night etc & ds is 13 so as long as the damm Xbox is going he’s occupied!!! Everyone is different though, mentally if feels as your getting a little control back & I’m also having acupuncture/cupping once a week & on Chinese herbal medicine. I think we all deserve an A ladies & our dp’s!! 2018 must be our year???

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 13:33

@ek78 did you guys just fit it in at any point during the day or always try and dtd at around the same time etc night?

Lovemysparkle · 13/02/2018 13:36

Also trying to stay positive as our 2nd mc due date is Friday.....

Love to you all 💙

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 13:36

@Lovemysparkle Thanks! Well done- you sound very organised! 👍 What are the Chinese herbal medicines you are on? I don't ov until about cd20 so will be a long month for me!!

Lovemysparkle · 13/02/2018 13:50

Boboelephant- I’m on a tablet that re-powers the body (after all the crap it’s been through) it’s called jiawei xiaoyao wan & the other is for all sorts of stuff for the female reproductive area especially if you’re having problems eg- implantation, blood flow just to name a few!! That one is called tiaojing cuyan wan, when I looked up the tiaojing cuyan wan it was like it was written for me!!! You can’t take it the first 5 days of you af I’ve been on both for 4 weeks now & ive noticed a great difference more energy, more awareness around ov time etc also the acupuncture has helped a lot! Have a google see what you think 👍🏼

ek78 · 13/02/2018 14:47

@boboelephant mainly at night because of work but the odd weekend afternoon in an attempt to vary it up a bit!

@welshsoph I use Flo too! That sounds strange though - too big of a jump to be to do with any symptom logging! Were the settings accidentally changed?
Trying to do SMEP this month but it’s a bit hard post MC - no idea when I’ll O and am rubbish at remembering to use OPKs! So we’re just going for it every other night haha.

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 18:46

Thanks @Lovemysparkle looks really interesting!! There's a Chinese herbal place near me, might go have a chat.

Do people that use opks do 1 or 2 a day?
