Hello everyone, am I a bit late to join? It's heartening to see people getting their BFPs after going through it.

I had an miscarriage at 9 weeks at the beginning of December, happened naturally and no D&C required. Had my first 'normal' period beginning of Jan and got BFPs last week Tuesday - Friday (yes I tested every day like a loon). Had a feeling it was too good to be true and started spotting Saturday and now on full flow with negative test this AM so it's definitely a chemical / very early miscarriage.

Just feeling pretty low and wondering if we tried again too soon but at the same time wanting to get straight back to it as we have DS who is 2.5 and the age gap which we didn't want is getting longer and longer.

Thinking just to go ahead again this month. Has anyone done similar? Or should I check with the doctor?

peachesarenom · 12/02/2018 10:00

keepinghopeful I didn't realise you'd had three. So sorry! Have you had investigations? I'm 35 this year!

Welcome tweedles1511 sorry about your news. Defo report to Dr because if you, and I hope you don't, have three they will investigate why.

Eastend2015 · 12/02/2018 10:06

Wonderful news ek!

Mimilicious013 · 12/02/2018 10:09

sending lots of love @keeping, keep your head up. what test did you use? 10dpo could still be a little early. l just turned 37, so I know all too well about time running out hun.

welcome and sorry @tweedles

Awww congratulation @ek78! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

@keepinghopeful just wondering the same as peachesarenom? You should be able to get them to delve a bit deeper. I too am feeling pretty down in the dumps today. I can’t confidently track my body anymore and I just feel up the left. It’s only second month since mmc so I know I’m just being impatient.

@tweedles1511 so sorry you are going through this. I had a d&c and the doctor said to me there was no reason to hold off but just to wait till I had stopped bleeding. I have also heard stories of women having a chemical pregnancy after mc and taking no breaks and having a successful pregnancy next. I would continue trying but def worth going to your doctor just to be sure.

keepinghopeful · 12/02/2018 10:15

Thanks girls, yeah have had bloods taken - waiting on some results & waiting on hysteroscopy!! Just pants even having to go through it when friends just seem to fall preg & stay preg & they are younger than me so have the time to waste - i know i sound like a bit*h!! Im not usually lol

Mimilicious013 · 12/02/2018 10:15

glad you can start a new cycle @peaches, best of luck dear.l am still waiting for mine but today woke up with new haha. I could not stand the smell of my face cream so could it be a symptom? ??? ((wishful thinking ))

tweedles1511 · 12/02/2018 10:27

Thanks so much ladies. Groups like this make the whole sh**ty thing a little less lonely. I've made the appointment with my doc and onwards to a new cycle.

xLeanne128 · 12/02/2018 11:18

Help ttc #1 after MC is this very nearly there??

Cookiefiend · 12/02/2018 11:50

@peachesarenom so sorry for you, but yes in a way it's great to get your body back on track and good for dating the pregnancy etc- onwards and upwards. Thanks for treating to satisfy my squinting need.

@ek78 no need to squint there! Amazing news - congratulations! Lovely news to check on for.

@Boboelephant and @Mimilicious013 I didn't test today. I'm wondering if my body now wants to have AF only every five weeks. Just not sure whether it's possibly to have AF so long after I seem to have ovulated. I'll test tomorrow.

Good luck everyone!

Cookiefiend · 12/02/2018 11:51

@xLeanne128 I think that is looking close.

xLeanne128 · 12/02/2018 11:59

Thanks for replying @cookiefiend will DTD when hubby gets home just incase! I'm extremely bloated and crampy unsure of ov signs or cycle going crazy after MC x

peachesarenom · 12/02/2018 12:10

OMG! DH is away on business for 2 weeks from a week on fri so I think I'm out for this month too! As pre mc I normally have 32 day cycles! F*!

dulwichdays · 12/02/2018 12:19

I’m now almost 3 weeks since D&C. Don’t think I’ve ovulated but yet my body is giving me all kind of crazy symptoms. Headaches and nausea mostly. Anyone else have weird symptoms post MC?

Pinkcar123 · 12/02/2018 12:21

So last blood test and very nearly back to 0 after mc. Feel sad and relieved all in one. Onwards and upwards eh? Appt booked with Gp as this is second mc since first one in Dec. Not sure what the advice will be but feel like i need to do something...

Primrose16 · 12/02/2018 15:39

Congrats @ek78 whoop whoop

Boboelephant · 12/02/2018 20:00

@keepinghopeful I'm sorry. It's shit isn't it! We've been trying for 18 months too and some days it just seems so hard. Try to stay positive though- your miracle will come!!
@tweedles1511 welcome although sorry for your losses. I can also relate. My DS is 2.5 too and every month the age gap gets bigger. Esp as if I hadn't had my first loss there'd only be 22 months between them. I think talk to your doc but I'd keep trying too if it were me.
@peachesarenom sorry DH is away! I just had the enforced break too and it was hard. But try and use it to achieve your healthy goals and be prepped and ready for March!
@dulwichdays I've had all sorts of weird symptoms post MC- headaches, nausea, back pain, cramps. It's all rubbish!! Hope our bodies sort themselves out soon!!

peachesarenom · 12/02/2018 21:07

Boboelephant how did you find the break?

Cakelaur · 12/02/2018 21:09

@Mimilicious013 omg!!! Symptoms!! Yes only 2 more days til Test day!!!

@peachesarenom sorry Hun. Shit but also good cos now it's a fresh cycle. Have a glass of wine for me!! 🍷 and sorry hubby is away. That always makes it harder ttc when work gets in the way.

@Cookiefiend yay!! I may test tomorrow... 8dpo. Silly I know but I'll see what my temp does.

@dulwichdays I had headaches and nausea before my bfp.

@Pinkcar123 It's a good thing as now you can put the last one behind you. It's a weird world wishing for a bfp for so long then hoping to get a bfn again.

peachesarenom · 12/02/2018 21:11

Cakelaur I have had two rum and cokes already!

dulwichdays · 12/02/2018 21:20

@Cakelaur I’m trying not to think that! Way too early - not even sure I’ve ovulated since my D&C

tweedles1511 · 12/02/2018 22:36

@dulwichdays I had horrendous headaches and nausea a few weeks after first miscarriage - almost like a migraine.

@Boboelephant - yeah it's the age gap that is stressing me out the most oddly. Feel so lucky to have one lovely DS but he's so ready for a sibling. Also 2 of my best friends who also have little ones same age as DS are due there number 2s in spring / summer. Feeling left behind!

Boboelephant · 13/02/2018 06:09

@peachesarenom it was strange as we have been focused on it for so long. I'd love to say i actually didn't think about it but that's a lie! 🤣 I found it was helpful to see how many weird symptoms I have each month which clearly don't mean a bfp. Perhaps that will help my symptom spotting next month! I was supposed to use the time away to tone up and lose a few lb but did not! Oops!
Good luck @cakelaur
@tweedles1511 ahh I know!! My DS is so ready for a sibling too! And almost everyone from my mum's group plus other friends with same age kids or younger have had another one or due asap. I so want to join them!!!

dulwichdays · 13/02/2018 07:07

Decided that I need to stop tracking this month until AF arrives after my MC. Nothing seems to be tracking as I expect and it’s a real kick in the teeth every morning!!
