well I am 3dpo but had a good cry yesterday and was very angry at mother nature. lt turns out that my friends 17 year old daughter is pregnant (obviously unwanted ), and she has a 5 month old baby already. I honestly dont understand how It all works. lt takes some of us who are desperate forever to have and keep a bfp ((sad))

Martydog · 27/01/2018 17:19

Here is another really cute outfit for when we all get our rainbow babies

And it is raising money for Tommy's charity, its £8 from mothercare and they are donating £1 from everyone sold. My bottom drawer is going to have to get bigger, just need to get the bfp now.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/01/2018 19:16

Sat here trying to guess when I'd roughly ovulate next month so I can book somewhere away for a few nights, change of scenery and all that. What is my life?! 😂

Disneyrules · 27/01/2018 20:54

Sorry that all you lovely ladies are here. I've had 2 miscarriages last year, one at 5 weeks at one at 10 weeks....over 7 weeks later and I'm still bleeding. I'm going for a d and c early next week. When did your Drs say you can start trying again after having this?

Cakelaur · 27/01/2018 21:17

Hi ladies, hoping I can join the group. Hasd erpc on 18th Jan. Had very little pain and bleeding afterwards. I’ve been temping again and doing opks. Ordered hpt online but been away all week so will take one tomorrow to see the result (hopefully negative) I’ve had blazing positive opks all week (and one low and one peak on cbfm) and finally had a negative one this afternoon.
My BBT shot up this morning. On cd10 which is way early for me to ovulate normally. So not sure if the positive opks were pregnancy hormones still in me or actual ovulation. We only managed to DTD a couple of times before my temp went up. But I’d love to catch a sticky rainbow baby on the first cycle as it took almost a year to fall pregnant with #1 only to lose it 8 weeks later.

Cakelaur · 27/01/2018 21:18

Here’s a pic of my bbt chart if anyone can take a look and shed some insight

@Disneyrules

I'm sorry you're here, but you're very welcome.

The miscarriage association has a really good leaflet on trying again you can find it on their website. The research shows that the sooner you get pregnant after a miscarriage the more likely you are to go on to have a normal pregnancy (Hahahahahahahaha!!) Someone described it as putting oil into an engine that's already warm.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/01/2018 22:00

Well if yesterday wasn't the tail end of a surge then I don't know what it was!

Top was yesterday's (2.30pm), bottom left is today around 3 or 4pm (I can't remember). Bottom right is about 10 mins ago. Crazy! Shock

Thank you MrsMac I'll take a look at their website x

Boboelephant · 28/01/2018 04:49

Sorry @Mimilicious01! It really is tough and hard to understand when people fall pregnant without trying and without wanting the baby or don't treat kids well and then there are those desperately trying. Seems like the universe is out of whack doesn't it!! I'm doing ok thanks. Enjoying my sunny holiday! Although pretty sure I still haven't ovulated so don't think it'll be this month. I still seem to have EWCM and read that once you ovulate that disappears.

How do you girls all know you've ovulated if not using opks?? I get symptoms for days but don't know when it actually happens!

@Martydog that's adorable! And I love that it supports Tommy's.

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I don't think that sounds crazy. Much easier getting more motivation to dtd when away and relaxed! That's also a crazy surge!!

Welcome @disneyrules and @cakelaur. Sorry you find yourselves here. Fingers crossed for sticky bfps for you both soon. I was told by doctor after my ERPC that we could try again immediately once the bleeding stopped.

Mimilicious013 · 28/01/2018 05:18

glad you are having a nice break @bobo , cheers .l too can't pinpoint exactly when ov has happened but just go by the lack of symptoms.dh has been away so enjoying the bed to myself. not much dtd this end but hopefully the few times just before ov were good enough

Mimilicious013 · 28/01/2018 05:26

hope you managed to get busy already @unicorns. that's a crazy surge

welcome @disney and @cake. sorry you are here. fx you get your sticky bfps soon.

that's lovely @marty

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 28/01/2018 10:17

@Mimilicious013 We managed to accidently so now I guess we wait. The hip pain has gone as well, or has at least gotten so much better than earlier this week.

Cakelaur · 28/01/2018 16:49

I’ve spent all this last year wishing for a BFP. Now all I want is a BFN so we can start again!!! How long did it take everyone else to get a bfn after d&c/erpc/mc?

Skittlelover · 28/01/2018 16:53

Hi everyone, I'm new on this website and slightly sad that my first post is here talking about loosing another baby. I am lucky enough to a have a lovely 11 month old son with a missed miscarriage at 12 week scan prior to him. Since he was 7 months my hubby and I wanted another baby and a close age gap. Since then I have had a natural misscariage at 5-6 weeks in October and on wed i have just had surgical management of miscarriage after another 12 week scan where the baby had died at 7-8weeks. I am so desperately upset by another loss and feeling something is wrong with me. I also so want to conceive again but just not sure if I have the energy for another 12 week wait only for it to happen again. How do you all do it? Xx

ek78 · 28/01/2018 16:55

Hi @cakelaur, it took me just over three weeks-but I didn’t have d&c which I think can speed things up. It’s a really difficult time, waiting for the bfn. You’ll get there!

HoldTightPretendItsAPlan · 28/01/2018 18:25

I've been trying to pay more attention to pay more attention to my cm this month, but I have a question (sorry if this is tmi), how do you know what is cm and what is just there because you're dtd at every opportunity? Blush

MrsMac1489 · 28/01/2018 18:46

@Cakelaur it only took just over a week for me. But I had suboptimal bHCG levels right from the beginning so I guess it didn't take mine long to fall back down to undetectable levels.

Give it a week and retest xxx

Boboelephant · 28/01/2018 20:37

@Cakelaur I tested a week after my ERPC and had a similar strength line to yours. Tested a week later and got bfn. Hope you get it soon, I agree to try and wait a week.
@Skittlelover welcome although I'm so sorry you're here and for your losses. As you have had 3 MC's you should talk to your GP as they should refer you to the recurrent MC clinic. They will be able to do some tests to hopefully put your mind at ease and make sure everything is ok.
As far as waiting 12 weeks the NHS should now offer you early scans to check too. When I get my next bfp I'll have one at 5 weeks to rule out ectopic and then one from 7 weeks+ to check for MMC. I have also paid for a private scan before.
I have had 2 losses but also have a lovely DS as well and I keep telling myself I can carry a baby to term so maybe that will help you too. Fingers crossed for you.
@HoldTightPretendItsAPlan I'd probably check for your CM in the afternoon or whenever you haven't just DTD! Good job with all your bd'ing!! 👏😉

Cookiefiend · 28/01/2018 20:48

Gosh so much is happening here- I'm scared almost to comment as I have been away a few days and I don't want to say woohoo a bfp! To those posts that are waiting for a negative. (Or vice versa!). @Cakelaur I took about 10 days after the big clots and bleeding day for my hcg to drop back below 50 which was when the EPU stopped testing. No idea how long it took to drop enough to get a negative hpt as o couldn't quite bring myself to do one, but I assume at least another week or so as it was going slowly.

I used my first ever OPK today which I ordered last week thinking I hadn't ovulated last month. I thought I was fertile this weekend (ewcm and horny!) and took one when we got home this evening .It was positive. So I think my body is getting back on track and I seem to be vaguely in tune with it which I haven't felt since the miscarriage in October.

Cakelaur · 29/01/2018 07:25

Thanks for all the comments ladies. I guess I just keep testing ever couple of days and see where I get to.
Sorry for your losses @Skittlelover hopefully they’ll give you early scans with epu. I’ve only lost one and will be Defo asking for extra scans.
@HoldTightPretendItsAPlan I read a book called ‘taking charge of your fertility’ and it basically says once you’ve held the sperm for 20mins/30mins go and release all the excess liquid by using your pelvic floor muscles. I have found that if I do that at night, by morning it’s a little easier to tell. I try to check a couple of times a day and just before I go to bed too.
@Cookiefiend great news on the positive opk! Especially seeing as you had all the signs before too. I can’t wait til my body gets back to that point.

Skittlelover · 29/01/2018 09:28

Thanks guys. I did have a private scan with both missed misscariages and the baby was fine with a heartbeat, but a few days earlier than I thought. The baby then died both times just after the scan.
I am seeing the gp today regarding my 3 miscarriages but as the first is not consecutive I wasn't sure they could do anything yet?? At least I will ask for extra scans next time when i get the energy/confidence to try again. Sorry to all those going through waiting for a negative test too before trying again. Everything seems like such a wait with conception. I think I need some hobbies! X

PassTheAfterEights · 29/01/2018 10:40

Can I ask some advice please?

EMC at 5 weeks similar to a period - one noticeable clot and a few hours heavy bleeding, lasted 36h in total. Rang EPU when it started, they were lovely & advised to stock up on pads and wait it out etc, rang again with this question on Friday and was told a nurse would ring me back at the end of clinic but never did. Should I push this or does it sound like a normal MC for a five week old preg?

We'd like to give it another go this month and if my cycle goes back to normal FW will start Friday - but don't want to be stupid about it Confused

PassTheAfterEights · 29/01/2018 10:44

@skittlelover very sorry about your losses, agree TTC = slowest weeks ever! Done more ironing than ever before in my life Hmm
