Thread numero four-o.

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shall not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if they do so.

@limp so sorry this is happening. I’m keeping everything crossed that it is good news on Monday. It could just be a pocket of old blood or the possibility that it was two eggs that tried to implant.

I do understand the prepare for the worst mentality, sometimes you just know. Huge hugs xx

Limp - Sorry to hear you’re having such a worrying time. I hate early pregnancy with a passion for this reason. Look after yourself my lovely, and whatever the outcome please don’t blame yourself - there is nothing you did that will change the outcome. I shall be rooting for you tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope you find plenty of distractions. Xxx

wonky sorry to hear you're still no clearer on your cycle, so annoying...I've forgotten where you are in investigations? Can you speak to the GP, or do you have to wait this out

I've got a GP appointment next week. Only had a US so far, not sure what bloods they can do with no idea when I ovulate

We've had a very chilled day, resting up as much as possible. No spotting this afternoon, but I still don't feel quite right. I promise to update in the morning after my appointment.

Well, that was fun, not.

Had an ultrasound and bloods. Ultrasound was TrV, I have a retroverted uterus so hard to see much. Sonographer said she could see a small sac, no pole and not a lot else. Went back to the midwife, the sonographer had marked it as an anechoic space not a sac, so basically inconclusive with a diagnosis of either early pregnancy or early pregnancy failure - they call it pregnancy of unknown location. MW said she does 3 or 4 of these every single day and in the majority of cases it is just too early to see anything either way. I have to go back Weds morning for another HCG draw, and they will call me Weds afternoon. If HCG same, it is ectopic, if lower, a loss, and if rising, all good to go and probably a scan to try and find a heartbeat.

TLDR: Inconclusive, more bloods on Weds. Total fucking limbo. No bleeding since Saturday, whereas last time full bleed started 36 hours later, but basically nothing means anything and it is just a waiting game.

That’s crappy limp but I suppose there’s still hope. Fingers crossed that it’s just too early to see properly
