Ladies, the old thread has now closed so I created a new one but can't post the link, hopefully you'll find it and we can continue.

Cleo, did your temp recover today? There is a temp dip at 3dpo, can’t remember what it’s called - fallback or something.

Cleozeta · 18/03/2018 08:54

It had better work, the amount it costs! But I am suspucious now as this is the mist screwed up cycle now since last summer. And the first full cycle doing TCM.

Ali unforrtunately not. Very low again today. I usually get the fallback dip but it tends to be around cover line. This has pretty much fallen off the page low.
Yesterday I did some opk's out of curiosity. Got a faint line in the morning and a blank in the afternoon. Also got ov pains yesterday, but temp still very low today. So confused Sad

KeepingTheFaith9 · 18/03/2018 11:59

Ladies, wish I could help with the temps conundrum but I’m a bit clueless, I’ve always gone on average window, ov pain and ewcm in the past and the temp and opk just eluded me. I hope you body tells you something soon Cleo... I’m getting a bit worried that TCM is screwing my cycle as I’m on CD 32 now and still no AF, I don’t think I’ve been this late ever (well since it mattered to care) very odd...I wanted longer and heavier periods not for them to disappear 😬 God knows what’s going on, all the period symptoms and then nothing ... very strange ... and annoying ... pricey herbs and needles better be doing something I agree !!! Happy Sunday Fertilty Sisters!! 🙏🏻😊x

Orchid222 · 18/03/2018 13:54

KeepingTheFaith I didn't get AF until cd34, 4 days later than normal. I asked my TCM practitioner if that's normal and she said yes because your body is trying to get pregnant. Not sure if that's it but there must be something that our cycles are longer when on TCM.

Hi everyone, HSG in the morning...eek, nervous, been told to take some pain killers an hour before but no antibiotics no.
Glad to be doing something though.

Cleo - sorry can't help with the temps. I gave them up long ago, find it way too stressful. Are you still taking the soy?

weasel, i totally understand how you feel about your birthday, since turning 40 my birthdays feel horrible. You'll probably feel a bit better once you get used to the idea of being 42 iyswim??

Orchid222 · 18/03/2018 17:36

Good luck Mimosa! Fingers crossed it goes well, let us know how you get on. My HyCoSy is on Thursday, I'm nervous but can't wait for the results, like you I feel glad I'm doing something.

Cleozeta · 18/03/2018 18:02

Good luck mimosa! What is hsg? Does that check your tubes?

No not taking soy anymore, after my fsh going up by 8 in 6 months while taking them I worry it was not doing me any good. Plus I seemed to be ovulating ok without it for a while. Temping is SO stressful. And to be honest if I had not temped this month I would have been happy with my peak and the + opk as confirmation and gone off on my happy relaxed 2ww. Now I'm stressed and freaking out and wish I hadn't bothered!!! Really want to do clinic for more tests but feel like a fraud!

KeepingTheFaith9 · 18/03/2018 18:28

Good luck Mimosa for the morn and orchid for thurs - is the feedback instant? Hope so - waiting for results is pesky. 🙏🏻 Orchid - it’s all very strange, a few years back a late period would have been exciting - now it’s just annoying 😬 Let’s see... in Freya We Trust (Goddess of Fertilty I’m told!) x

JoJoyorker · 18/03/2018 19:23

Good luck to you both this week hope it goes well.

littlemimosa · 19/03/2018 10:56

Job done. It was pretty pain free really. Just a bit uncomfortable when the dye hit my tubes but other than that it was easy. I did take 2 Nurofen though an hour before so perhaps that helped.

Faith - results go back to the consultant, they gave me no indication of anything today and i didn't ask, the ladies were soooo nice i didn't want to put them in a position. So after my DH has done his sperm sample (23rd April) they'll send me an appointment. Seems ages off but hey ho, i've waitied this long.

Cleo - why don't you give up the temping for a couple of cycles in order to relax a bit more? Might take the pressure off a bit? Oh and please don't feel a fraud for going to a clinic, I've got two DC like you and i certainly don't! And in my experience no-one from the gp to the consultant to the scan and xray ladies have batted an eyelid when i say i'm ttc#3, they've all been lovely.

littlemimosa · 19/03/2018 10:57

ps, thanks everyone for the good luck messages, i did read them last night:)

littlemimosa · 19/03/2018 10:58

pps, Cleo - yes HSG checks your tubes.

Cleozeta · 19/03/2018 12:33

Thank you mimosa, and I think you are right, I'll give up temping for a bit. Just too stressful. How long did it take you to get your clinic appointment? Are you getting AMH done too? I'd like to try and get booked in but not until after Easter as we are away for a week visiting parents (on what is going to be potentially fertile week - noooooo!!)

crivit · 19/03/2018 17:00

Glad it went ok today mimosa - hopefully the results come quickly.

And good luck for Thursday orchid

I don't know if it was the upped dosage of soy for me this month or just one of those things but Saturday I got the darkest (darker than the control line) OPK I've had in the 3 months I've been doing it. Unfortunately didn't DTD Friday night (partner was dead on their feet after a very stressful few days) but managed Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning so we'll see...

Re: temping stress, I find it both reassuring to temp but also stressful. I like having something to do every day (saves on neadlessly POAS >

Orchid222 · 19/03/2018 17:32

Thank you all for the good luck messages for Thursday. Mimosa hood to know if wasn't that painful hopefully my HyCoSy will be the same. It's the last thing we need to get an appt with the fertility clinic so I'm hoping that will be scheduled fairly quickly. I'd love to have it before next cycle so I can do IUI really don't want to wait until May.

Both late but good luck to everyone. Hoping for some more good news from one of us soon!

Cleozeta · 19/03/2018 19:01

Crivit I find temping reassuring until it doesn't do what I expect!! Then I freak out and stress. This month has been the worst for that, although this morning temp went back up and FF put the crosshairs back for CD14.... weird cycle though and massivly erratc. Still not convvinced I ov'd. Not sure weather to say anything to TCM guy or not tomorrow.
I've done the changing the temps thing before too. No idea why as it defeats to object but don't want to mess up the graph if its a bad reading and probably wrong!!

Orchid - hope you get your apt soon. IUI could be just what you need. Fingers crossed!

Orchid222 · 19/03/2018 19:19

Thanks Cleo I hope one IUI will do it :) I'd definitely say something to your TCM guy and see what he says.

Hi ladies. I can’t add much in terms of helping with temps etc, aside from to say that I found it all a bit baffling when I tried it, but admire you for being so diligent.

Can I ask a question about Soy? Why are you taking it and what does it do?
Also when do I take EPO (bought some and waiting for something to happen) so I know what CD I’m on but want to be ready (so I can add the tablets to the pile of others I’m taking!!)

Actually as I’m now on CD 33 - and nothing doing, I feel really pained to take anything including the herbal powders - it’s really testing me this not knowing what’s going on ... so much so that I keep thinking what’s the point and can’t be arsed... 😬

Never wanted my period to come more in my life!!

Happy Tuesday Fertilty Sisters!
Have a great day.
X

Cleozeta · 20/03/2018 09:48

Soy is supposed to be the 'nature's clomid' it tricks your body into producing more estrogen which helps force ovulation (or sometthing like that) Works really well if you don't always ovulate on your own. Can potentially mess up cycles if you do. It has been known to put back ovulation (great if you are an early ov'er).

EPO is supposed to be taken from cd1 to ov, it's great for ewcm. Drinking grapefruit juice is also great for this.

Hope your af comes soon! The limbo is awful! Do you know when / if you ov'd?

So for me my temps are now up again, looking like I actually ov'd on cd18 (4 days later than I thought) but it's weird that my temps stayed up for 3 days after rhe first attempt on cd14 then came back down to ov on cd18. Is it possible to ov twice?? I know we can release 2 or more eggs (particularly at 40+) but is it possible to release 2 on seperate days??

Alibaba2 · 20/03/2018 17:04

Not sure Cleo, I would think both eggs are released together but that’s just a guess. Could there be another reason why temps rose? Do you have a fixed LP or does it vary?

Can’t decide whether to try soy again.... I’m on cd3 so need to make my mind up ASAP. Probably got nothing to lose. But maybe it did bigger my cycles/hormones up a bit which would explain the sudden high FSH/oestrogen and low AMH.

crivit · 20/03/2018 17:06

KeepingTheFaith - started taking soy in my previous cycle because I wasn't absolutely sure about my ovulation. Had darker than nowt OV tests but nothing as dark as the test line plus my previously ok cycles had started to go all over the shop at between 1 and 2 months with the long cycle being rather 'floody' when AF arrived. Having to get up through the night to change tampons and pads was not my idea of fun. Last month I took a lower dose to ease in and then upped it this month and, judging soley by my OV test strips, it's doing something. Basically, I think I'm old and that I need help to get my ovaries to do their job Grin. I used to take EPO every day to help AF discomfort but stopped when TTC. Started it again recently from CD1 to OV and this cycle also with grapefruit juice. It may be coincidence but again, I noticed a difference EWCM wise.

Cleozeta - I'm not sure but I imagine it is possible to OV on two seperate days. The internet is mostly saying multiple OVs can only occur on the same day but occasionally saying it can be days between.

Cleozeta · 20/03/2018 17:48

Ali - not sure why else temps would rise for 3 days, I've not been ill or anything and room was cold. I wonder if temp rises temporarily even if ov fails? Would you still get progesterone though if an egg was not released? Every month something new happens to baffle me!
LP is always 11 days currently - except for last month where it was 13

As for the soy - did you find it helped you? Do you ov anyway? I was wondering if the soy had raised my fsh aswell, but it doesn't make massive sense as its supposed to be good for it! Would be useful if there was more info and research on it's use in this context.

Crivit - thanks, looks like it's rare though. Just can't think of any other explanation!
I am getting old too, and have also had the 'joy' of having to change in the middle of the night. Interestingly soy seemed to stop the flooding.

Alibaba2 · 20/03/2018 20:47

Did you have DC in bed with you on the hot days? This used to alter my temp. Or were you more awake or had a restless night?

Cleozeta · 20/03/2018 21:05

Nope! Just standard mornings, same as the others. It's an oddity
