Ladies, the old thread has now closed so I created a new one but can't post the link, hopefully you'll find it and we can continue.

So funny really how all these years we were probably experiencing lots of different symptoms but yet ignoring them completely whilst we all got on with our lives and weren’t slaves to the fertile window lol!

Now every tweak and twinge could mean anything (or more likely nothing!!) 🤪

Crivit - for me unless the sick feeling is accompanied by twinges of implantation type I’m never excited just fed up, hope you get yours under control.

Cleozeta funny how you were nauseous during you anovulatory cycle - maybe this is a similar thing?

Who knows, nice to have you ladies to bounce this off though. I’ve managed a cup of tea and an egg sandwich today which is progress from the past two days of toast. Feeling a bit yuck again now but let’s see how the day goes! 🙏🏻

Alibaba2 · 14/03/2018 20:22

Could you remind me where your TCM clinics are? I’m tempted! All sounds very positive!

littlemimosa · 14/03/2018 22:54

Sometimes I feel nauseous in the 2ww around the time progesterone peaks, so about 7DPO.

AF finally arrived yesterday. Bang on 14 days after I got the ov pains and ewcm. So HSG is booked for next Monday,CD8! Eek. Does it hurt? Anyone know? They told me to take pain killers an hour before.....

Orchid222 · 15/03/2018 07:33

Ali my clinic is in surbiton but I'm sure you can find one closer to you I'd Google places near you and look at reviews. That's what I did anyway.
Mimosa I'm curious why are you doing HSG? Is that privately or on nhs? On nhs you don't have a choice but if you're going privately I'd be curious why HSG and not HyCoSy. I'm having HyCoSy next Thursday.

OP posts:
Orchid222 · 15/03/2018 07:34

Btw I think they both check for the same thing I was just wondering why one and not the other. I didn't have a choice because I'm getting mine done on nhs so had to go with what they gave me.

I have had TCM before but he wasn’t a fertility specialist and I didn’t notice any changes. Are you all having acupuncture alongside the herbs?

Cleozeta · 15/03/2018 11:29

Ali - mine is in Cambridge, I found mine by googling the best in the area too, and friend recommendation. I'm doing acupuncture and herbs. Think it's doing something. Extra spotting this month which I'm hoping is clearout. And I seem to have ov'd on cd14 this cycle. Will be interesting to see what happens to LP.

Littlemimosa thats great to be doimg something. Did they recommend that procedure? Did you have a consultation first? What steps do they suggest for you?

Orchid222 · 15/03/2018 19:04

I'm doing herbs, acupuncture and massage/moxibustion which is also supposed to help.
I do hope my ov doesn't come on cd14 if it does I'll miss it altogether this month since my HyCoSy isn't until cd15...

littlemimosa · 15/03/2018 23:04

Orchid/Cleo - it’s just what I was given. I got referred by my gp to a fertility clinic/consultant and they said they could only really offer me the hysterosalpingogram as I’d already had all the blood tests and a scan which looked fine. I didn’t have a choice of procedure. I don’t even know what the difference is?! All she said was it was to check my tubes are open. We won’t go down the IUI/IVF route so it was all that was left to check if that makes sense.
Interesting Orchid that yours is on CD14. They said they only do them up to CD10 to me. So mine is on CD8. They said no sex beforehand but I presume you can ttc straight afterwards? Anyone know?

Ali - I’m doing acupuncture but minus the herbs.

crivit · 15/03/2018 23:21

I've had moxibustion a couple of times in the past for other health matters and I love it. The smell is gorgeous - have been known to burn the same herb around the house on occasion.

Taken a new tack the past couple of days... I've joined a new gym that has a sauna and steam room. On the basis that I love spending a few minutes in saunas and steam rooms and it's not a good idea to do so while pregnant I figure I could taunt pregnancy into happening Grin

Orchid222 · 16/03/2018 07:33

Mimosa- I was told HyCoSy can be done up to cd25! Unfortunately there were no appointments available before cd15 and yes I was also told no sex beforehand. My worry is that if the Chinese herbs work and regulars my cycle so that I ovulate on cd14 rather than cd17 as normal I'll miss it altogether this month! The thought is very upsetting so I'm praying it won't happen and it will hold off. Last month it was cd21 so hopefully it won't come before cd15 this time. Do you have to take any antibiotics before HSG?
Crivit I like moxibustion too although it makes all my clothes smell 😀

Well I’m beginning to think EPO did cause early ovulation. Cd 8 and opks have blank circle and no ewcm. Previous two cycles since coming off the pill I took EPO and was showing signs of O by now with positive opks on Cd 9 and 10.

weasledee · 16/03/2018 14:42

Well I've been in the tww as AF due tomorrow, loads of cramps and negatives tests so clearly AF imminent.
I've been having a think, when do u call it a day? :( I'm 42 in May....

Cleozeta · 16/03/2018 14:48

After looking into clinics and stats etc, 43 or 44 seems to be the age they stop including, so you still have time weasledee.

Karigan1 · 16/03/2018 15:19

I rather have the view that if it’s not happened in a year or so then no point going back on birth control anyway...

MATTSMAMMA · 16/03/2018 16:55

WEASLE - I’ve been giving myself cut off points for the past 5 years or so Sad. I’m 48 and I think I’m sort of coming to terms with the fact that no 3 may not happen. Its taken me a long time to get to feeling like this and I get this awful feeling of sadness still but I think I’m coming to terms with it (albeit slowly). It’s not been easy these last few years - I’ve had some really down moments and I mean REALLY DOWN. Then I read and hear about people getting pregnant at this age such as Liz Earle and Louise Dilner (Daily Mail GP columnist) and I get moments of hope and think maybe it can happen. I think from what I’ve experienced over the past few years it’s something deep inside that you only know yourself at the time if that makes sense. I’d always told myself 48 was too old until I reached that age and felt exactly as I did at 43. I conceived DC 2 at 42 - in first month of trying (!) so I would certainly say you’ve plenty of time yet xx

Orchid222 · 16/03/2018 20:04

I just left my Chinese clinic and the lady running it said her oldest patient was 49 when she got pregnant naturally with twins so yes anything's possible. She even told me I had a lot of time at 41 lol.

weasledee · 16/03/2018 20:13

Thanks for the replies ladies, was feeling a bit despondent earlier. I think when you approach your next birthday it makes you think.....
But your replies have got me back on track again! Thanks for taking the time to reply :)

KeepingTheFaith9 · 16/03/2018 23:32

Weaseldee... I think you have to just keep on going - like mattsmamma said there’s loads of folks who get lucky in their 40’s of course we only hear about the famous ones! Apparently Strictly Judge Arlene Philips got pregnant naturally at 47!
Ali baba regarding the herbs and accu - I’m doing both and I am not seeing a fertility expert rather a jack of all trades locally (high st branch) so I’m skeptical but found the fertility expert nearest me was extortionate.
In other news nausea has now gone - AF is 2 days late (which isn’t normal but has happened from time to time) EWCM has decreased (had none at what should have been ovulation 😮) and I feel AF is on her way... bloated and just feeling ‘periody’
Let’s see what tomorrow brings... 🙏🏻

Just a query regarding the EPO - when should I take it?

Hope you all have nice weekend plans ladies!

So pissed off with my old haggered body right now. So I thought I had ov'd on cd14, got a peak on cbfm and a +opk and temps went up. Now on what I thought was 4dpo temp has gone right down. Not just down, but crazy low. The lowest its been all cycle by far. 35.75 and boobs have stopped hurting today too. What the hell?? Can anyone shed any light?? Anyone experience anything like this? Starting to think its another anovulatory cycle :-(

Orchid222 · 17/03/2018 15:19

Sorry Cleo I have no clue about temps. I've read that you can get an implantation around 7-10dpo but 4dpo might be a bit early?

OP posts:
Cleozeta · 17/03/2018 16:11

Sadly it's probably not implantation. Too early for that. It's my body being an arsehole again.

Orchid222 · 17/03/2018 19:00

That's annoying. We need those herbs to start working and quickly!

OP posts:
Cleozeta · 17/03/2018 19:53

Yes definitely! That's if they even do anything

Orchid222 · 17/03/2018 20:13

Let's give them a chance. I think they'll take a while to kick in hopefully not too long or I'll go bankrupt.
