Hi - LUCKYHAPPYMUMMY here but I’ve changed back to my original name of Mattsmamma x

Orchid222 · 12/03/2018 17:52

Congrats mini me! Great news, gives us dome much needed hope!
Cleo- are you going ahead with a fertility clinic appt and IUI? I'm wondering if the 1st month on the Chinese herbs is always a bit funny. I didn't have spotting or anything like that but everything was 4 days late. Hopefully next cycle we'll be back to normal.

Cleozeta · 12/03/2018 19:58

Hi Orchid, yes hoping to do clinic next month. Is there normally waiting lists? Or is that just if you are NHS? Not sure how far ahead to plan as don't want to go in too soon as waiting on some money coming in April. Would I need to book well ahead do you think?
Yes I was wondering if 1st TCM month is unusual too, although after all the weird spotting this cycle, that has now stopped, and today I got a strong line on opk (not positive yet but dark) so thats a good sign. Wondering if the spotting was the removal of old stuff - which would be good.

Orchid222 · 12/03/2018 20:51

Not sure about waiting time for a clinic Cleo. Ali might be able to comment on that but if I were you I'd phone the one you're thinking of going to and ask. You don't need to schedule an appt yet just ask for info. Yes looking forward to the next cycle on TCM to see if there's any change.

Have you got a clinic in mind Cleo? My one doesn’t have a waiting list but you have to have a few tests first.

Cleozeta · 13/03/2018 07:55

I have one in mind, I'll give them a call and enquire. It's a bit scary

JoJoyorker · 13/03/2018 08:11

I remember some of you saying you were ovulating early. How early do you ovulate and how early is too early do you know?

Karigan1 · 13/03/2018 12:56

CD 9 and 10 for my last two positive Opks. Dr didn’t seem bothered so long as the cycle was over 21 days. It’s usually 25 so she said it would be fine.

Karigan1 · 13/03/2018 12:57

Also I spot for two days on average so wondering if the eggs are actually starting to develop then rather than when it’s oficially Cd 1 as read something on the internet that it starts before af

Alibaba2 · 13/03/2018 17:02

Yes I think exactly the same Karigan. If you add my spotting days then ov is bang on time. I read somewhere online that as you age, the eggs get “recruited” earlier and before AF. That makes sense. I do tend to write off early ov cycles though.

Alibaba2 · 13/03/2018 17:03

You ov same time as me Karigan and spotting normally starts 10/11dpo.

What about you Jojo?

Karigan1 · 13/03/2018 17:11

I seem to have quite a long luteal phase. Only spot dpo 14/15 then AF on 16.

Let’s hope we’re right on the egg starting before the cycle thing! It does seem to fit!

Alibaba2 · 13/03/2018 18:20

I have a 14 day LP but spot earlier than you.

You had a good prog result didn’t you?

Karigan1 · 13/03/2018 18:31

It was 50 which isn’t too bad since it was only second cycle after stopping the pill and definitely confirmed ovulation

sparklyglitterball · 13/03/2018 18:42

Hi ladies, I'm still checking in and reading your posts every few days. Congratulations to the recent bfps! Seems as though there has been a few lately after a quiet spell. I'm 7 weeks now, and feeling really nauseous. Still slightly in denial and not really told anyone........most of our close friends and family knew by now with the other two. I think we're just trying to remain a little detached in case something goes wrong. Hope you're all ok and looking forward to seeing the bfp trend continue with a bit of luck!

KeepingTheFaith9 · 14/03/2018 06:51

Congrats sparkly glitter ball fingers crossed all keeps going well and your little bean sticks. 😊 Does anyone feel nauseous before AF? I’d like to imagine that I might be preg but know that is unlikely owing to assumed lack of ov and simply no physical feeling of anything this month, CD 28 today and not a pinch of any symptom aside fro this awful sick feeling. I am wondering if it’s the TCM - so much so that last night I couldn’t stomach it. Clozeta - what’s your experience ? Anything similar experienced from you or any other ladies. It’s been 3 days now, even waking up in the night feeling like I’m going to be sick, and I’ve barely eaten in past few days.. 🤢 x

Orchid222 · 14/03/2018 07:42

Fingers crossed sparkly!
Faith- when did you start TCM? I had the same nauseous feeling last cycle (my 1st on TCM). I forced myself to drink the herbs but it was awful.
Cleo-going back to the conversation on TCM affecting our cycles, on top of positive opk being 4 days late and my cycle being 4 days longer, my period is also dragging on. I'd normally be finished after 5 days but it's cd7 and still going. Hope it's just 1 month that it's so messed up.
Faith-did you notice any changes to your cycle after starting TCM?

MATTSMAMMA · 14/03/2018 07:42

KEEPINGTHENFAITH
Yes! I never really had nausea but for the last 8 months or so I have noticed it! The first time I got myself excited - but then af showed. It’s not every month however

KeepingTheFaith9 · 14/03/2018 09:02

Orchid - thanks for sharing - I think it might be the herbs. When I went yday I mentioned it and they said it was a particular ingredient that even the Chinese found hard to stomach! Let’s see how I get on this week. I’ve been doing TCM since Jan 2nd and I decided to give it 3 months (owing to finances) so I’m almost done, tbh I wanted to try to build up my uterine liming a bit as my periods are really light and only 2 days - the last period was much heavier so that’s an improvement but now I don’t know what’s happening. A fair bit of CM this morning - I don’t think I get this before AF much but things change a lot. Felt sore after acupuncture yday - esp in ovary region.
Someone told me that nausea in relation to an actual BFP doesn’t really kick in until at least 6-8 weeks so I’m mindful that this vomit sensation is something else, maybe hormones, anxiety, other life shit that is going down! Who knows?!! Happy Weds anyway. XxX

Cleozeta · 14/03/2018 10:01

Faith - I think nausea can often be related to hormones. I get it sometimes. I had it a bit recently, wasn't sure if it was the herbs or the hormones. I had it the worst during my anovulatory cycle last year, particularly the later part. I also do get it sometimes before af. I just ignore it now as hopes have been built up too many times!
Orchid - my period was longer too, had loads of brown spotting for days after. Right up until about cd10. I'm hoping it's a 'clear out'. This cycle got a +opk and peak on cbfm yesterday, which was cd14. No temp rise today though so don't think I have ov'd yet. Looking forward to temp confirmation so I can relax!!

crivit · 14/03/2018 12:37

First, congratulations to those with BFPs! Grin

Second, nausea is a right bugger. I've had it so much the last month that I've just had a blood test to check for coeliac and other stuff. The GP thinks it's likely to be a stress related IBS flare up but I hadn't even thought about hormones (aside obviously from the short lived idea that that much nausea meant I may be pregnant!).
