Fingers crossed min!!!

Orchid222 · 06/02/2018 08:02

Cleo-sure let's stop trying but how?! I think about it all most if the time so stopping to try is much easier said than done. To be fair though the first two cycles I took the let's see what happens approach, still did every other day but I didn't do any opk or temping or anything else and it still didn't happen so either way I go doesn't work. I should get my nhs letter re: other tests by the end of next week. Was going to call private clinic yesterday but didn't get the chance. I'm thinking maybe mytubes are blocked or something should be home for scans ages ago.

Minime- fingers crossed AF doesnt arrive! How much influence do you think multivits make? To me they are just that no matter what brand.

Cleozeta · 06/02/2018 10:44

Good luck minime!

I know Orchid, so much easier said than done right?
I started off with a casual approach too, no opk's or temping, and my body decided then was a good time to have an anovulatory cycle, just to confuse me. So now I feel I have to opk & temp just to check i actually ovulate! Even if I was not trying I still feel I would need to know when / if I ovulate, so that I know when / if to expect AF.
Sometimes I think my body just likes to havd a laugh at my expence. I know what is wrong though. It's age. And I think I will have that confirmed at this week's FSH test

Karigan1 · 06/02/2018 10:46

Good luck Minime

JoJoyorker · 06/02/2018 14:04

Good luck minime. Would be lovely to see some good news on here soon

Karigan1 · 06/02/2018 14:15

Well another good news story. Just been told my older sister is pregnant. She’s 42.

Karigan1 · 06/02/2018 14:15

Oh and natural etc

JoJoyorker · 06/02/2018 14:28

Orchid PCOS was diagnosed by a scan years ago but when I had one recently they couldn't see any signs. I do have some symptoms so the doctor said they will see from blood tests anyway.

Orchid222 · 06/02/2018 17:33

JoJo- can you please let me know once your doctor tells you exactly how you can see it from blood tests? Would be interesting to know.
Karigan-great news about your sister! Was she ttc?

Just tested (stupid as i hadnt even held a while) and bfn. No preg symptoms really. I have that metal taste in mouth all day and have been extremely tired but that could be af approaching. Likely will come on tomorrow. Orchid Ive read posts about seven seas changing cycles. I took them this time last year for a few months before trying pregnacare. They had no adverse affect on cycle but maybe this time. Af Delay is prob due to me gaining weight and indulging in sweet treats. We will see...

JoJoyorker · 06/02/2018 19:27

It's awful when that happens and it gets your hopes up. I still have my fingers crossed for you.
Orchid yes I will let you know. Not sure when they are back, the AMH ones are rarely done the nurse said and they are sent to Edinburgh for testing so it could be a while.

Orchid222 · 06/02/2018 20:48

I feel like screaming. I got my letter from the fertility clinic and they want me to repeat blood tests to test for FSH, LH and Oestradiol but that can bd done knly on cd 2,3 or 4 and im ln cd4 today! So i need to wait another whole cycle, SO frustrating!

OP posts:
JoJoyorker · 06/02/2018 21:41

Oh no how frustrating 😩 what day were the tests done on last time? Was that with your nhs doctor?

Orchid222 · 06/02/2018 21:52

It was with his doctor done on day 2 as recently as Dec but I don't see LH and Oestradiol in the results. Damn, I'm late by 1 day :(

OP posts:
Cleozeta · 06/02/2018 23:24

Orchid, I had that test (for all 3) done today on cd5. GP said it can be done on cd2-7

Cleozeta · 06/02/2018 23:26

You could always tell a little porkie pie and say you are cd4 tomorrow. 1 day will not make much difference to the result, especially if GP's will do the same test right up to cd7

Orchid222 · 06/02/2018 23:39

Oh ok thanks Cleo! I did wonder if 1 day would make a difference...cool I'll pop in there tomorrow then.

OP posts:
Orchid222 · 06/02/2018 23:40

Its really strange that a gp would do it up to 3 days later!

minime2017 · 07/02/2018 06:28

So af arrived this morning. Knew I couldnt really get a bfp as only dtd 2 times. However my cycle was 28 days...new theory-to lengthen cycles gain weight😏

Cleozeta · 07/02/2018 08:02

Go for it orchid. Might as we get started this cycle Smile

Sorry to hear AF came minime. I know that disappointment too well.
A 28 day cycle is great though, for future cycle prospects. Was it your FP that was longer or LP? I am going to start taking vit B complex this cycle to try to lengthen my LP as it is only 11 days

Orchid222 · 07/02/2018 09:17

I am going for it Cleo. Just in the hospital waiting area waiting for my turn :) no way I'm going to wait another month!
Sorry about AF minime. I think we all go through that disappointment nearly each month even if deep down we know AF will arrive we still hope.

OP posts:
Cleozeta · 07/02/2018 09:55

Great! Hope they get things moving quickly Orchid. Fingers crossed this will all work for you Smile

Orchid222 · 07/02/2018 09:56

I forgot to say the fertility clinic is also asking me to schedule the HyCoSy test with them to check my tubes. When you google it the first thing that comes up is a message from some private place to come and do it for £495 so at least we can get that on nhs. With some luck I'll be able to get a hold of the results in case I need to go privately. My acupuncturist says many private clinics take results of scans and bloods done on nhs so at least I might save a bit of money if it comes to that.

Karigan1 · 07/02/2018 12:35

Well no sign of AF yet so at least it’s lookibg like I don’t have a short luteal stage. I reckon it’s due Saturday if LH surge was 2 weeks ago Friday.

It’s a funny thing to be pleased about but I had terribly short cycles and spotting years ago due to stress so pretty happy it’s not come back yet.

Good luck Orchid.

Oh and someone asked if my sister was ttc. I don’t think so but she’s ridiculously fertile. This is her 7th!!
