Thought I'd start a new bus if that's okay as the Jan bus is getting quite full and I'm out of the loop.

I'll start with me

28
cycle 7
CD 14
Peak today on CBFM so should Ov tomorrow:-)
AF due 16/1

I have to say I'm fed up of this- we're using CBFM, softcups and preseed.

I don't know about anyone but me and DP are thoroughly fed up of having sex right now!! Although we're keeping it fun- to a degree. I wouldn't say we're dtd nearly enough this FW!

Congrats on the BFPs! All the best going forward. :)

I'm in my fertile week, using fertility gel for the first time so keeping my fingers crossed!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 08/01/2018 21:09

@Emelene. How are you finding it? I used conceive plus last cycle and found it dreadfully sticky!

cakeanytype · 08/01/2018 21:10

Get the winterwarmers off love .... get the thong on 😂

bubblybrit · 08/01/2018 21:34

@LookingAtTheStars89. It was my first day back at work today - manic! So I must admit that I’m not really looking forward to dtd every other day. It’s not usual for us to dtd that often so feels like a chore on both parts. There is nothing fun about ttc! My DH swears by almond milk (he is trying to reduce daily) but I can’t stomach it Sad. Fx that all that baby dancing pays off for you!

winterwarmers · 08/01/2018 21:35

Haha trying to entice him upstairs but he's busy watching a film

LookingAtTheStars89 · 08/01/2018 22:12

@bubblybrit. Thank God it's not just me! Before we were ttc - which seems like forever now lol, we dtd about twice a week. It's not felt as robotic this cycle but according to my app, we should have dtd one more time for good measure but I could tell dh wasn't in the mood so I didn't mention it. I think even if your sex life is normally good, ttc can put a dampener on things, especially towards the end of the cycle.

@winterwarmers. Stand in front of the TV and shake what God gave you Wink

bubblybrit · 08/01/2018 22:23

@LookingAtTheStars89. Nope you are not alone at all. My DH are not in the same country most of the time so we are lucky to dtd twice a month. We have both cut back how often we work away from home or else I’d never get pregnant! Can’t avoid travel for ever though which is why I kinda feel under pressure. I either need to get pregnant so a legitimate reason not to travel as much or get back to the day job and hope for immaculate conception! Lol Smile

@winterwarmers. I’m sure you will be able to entice him with your womanly charms! 😉

Sodasoda · 08/01/2018 22:40

Definitely positive now @winterwarmers! Go get him!

I've tried fertility gel. Tbh if you get plenty of cm I wouldn't bother with it. DH said it affected his feeling a bit (sorry - TMI Blush) as just too slippery! I guess good if you really just want a quickie though....!

whiningandwining · 09/01/2018 07:13

Ah huge congratulations to all those BFP ladies. So pleased for you!

Owlpatrol · 09/01/2018 07:27

@bubblybrit I know what you mean regarding work commitments. My boss has asked me to take on a new role which means more hours and more stress. A year a go when I was first ttc id have taken her up on the offer but now I either need to get pregnant and have a legitimate reason to turn down or she's going to think I'm not committed anymore

Emelene · 09/01/2018 07:43

@LookingAttheStars89 - I'm finding the fertility gel pretty easy to use, it's quite liquid in consistency. The only thing is it's pretty expensive!

bubblybrit · 09/01/2018 08:01

@owlpatrol. Yeah it’s a horrible situation to be in. I’m usually quite happy to travel so I’ve done a complete u turn in my bosses eyes without valid reason. Got away with it so far but it’s not going to last Sad

LowanBehold · 09/01/2018 08:09

Congratulations to all the bfps.

I'm 6dpo and had been having symptoms like I did with my chemicals. Back ache, tummy pulling and sore boobs but they are milder now. No implantation bleeding.

I'm just feeling so fed up- me and my partner went to two separate mediums who were recommended in December just to see what it was about and we both came home and had both been told we would need ivf :-(

I couldn't sit on my hands any longer but couldn't waste a frer so I did a opk which has two perfectly clear lines on it, so I'd heard that was a good sign and as I'm cd22 I googled: this picture doesn't suggest it's great news does it :-(

Wow, so many positives! So nice to see, congrats all.
I'm resisting testing so far, AF due Fri/Sat but I feel the same as ever so pretty sure there will be nothing to report!
Will test Fri am if no AF by then as need to know if ok to do my weekend plans (spa treatments that are unsuitable for pregnancy). I've spent £300 I won't get back so in a way a BFN is no bad thing this month!

Keiki · 09/01/2018 10:30

So my last period started 27th December. DP and I DTD on 6th and yesterday, 8th January. Is that enough? We're normally a few times a month people and whilst he is enjoying it, my bits are a bit sore Blush I'm taking folic acid and grapefruit juice but I never have a clue when I ovulate. Lower abdomen feels achy/crampy this morning but I'm sure that's just symptom spotting/wishful thinking Blush

LineEyes0801 · 09/01/2018 11:26

Think mine was either a chem or an evap as a definitive BFN today. I did think it was stupidly early, I just had this weird feeling yesterday that I was and I should test.

Period isn't due till 15th! so I'm just going to wait now and see if it shows up then, I can't be doing with the rollercoaster!

twobambinos · 09/01/2018 11:48

I still feel fairly nauseaus. Bfn on frer today but didn't use fmu.
I wish this cycle would end one way or the other because no idea what stage I'm at. I have no patience at all.

Lineeyes sorry to hear that hopefully closer to the 15th might give you a better answer.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 09/01/2018 12:03

Oh my days! I am so snoozy today! I read that progesterone can cause snooziness. I usually only get snoozy a few hours before flo starts but she's not due for 11 days.

MrsDub · 09/01/2018 12:49

Me too @lookingathestars89, so so sleepy, and achey back in a non-yoga-induced way. But at 4DPO (Glow's best guess from two cycles of data) pretty sure it's all in my head.

Can anyone explain an evap line, please? Haven't let myself buy any OPK/tests (yet) so sorry if it's explained there!

Celebelly · 09/01/2018 14:48

Hi ladies!

Congrats to all BFPs!

I've got the beginnings of some EWCM today, just a smidge, so hoping ovulation isn't too far off. Negative on OPK still but line a bit darker than it was yesterday.

@Lowanbehold Most OPK tests can't distinguish between LH and HCG as they are a similar kind of protein, hence why some people have found they are pg after using an OPK way after they know they ovulated and getting a positive. However, they do tend not to be a sensitive as FRER so I'd think at 6DPO it would be unlikely it was picking up HCG.

Did you go to mediums who told you you would need IVF?! Honestly, don't go to any more. These people pray on people who are sad or worried. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I think they're awful people who take advantage of people who are grieving or who are looking for comfort and just tell them lies (and get paid for it).

LowanBehold · 09/01/2018 14:59

Thank you @Celebelly I thought that might be the case with opk. I'm going to sit on my hands until Saturday! I'd like to wait until Monday but I doubt ill be able too.

Yup I wish I'd never gone, but of course we were intrigued after our friends reviews. Going to try and take it with a pinch of salt.

@MrsDub and @lookingatthestars I am also shattered today! I couldn’t get up this morning, called in on a very rare sick day. I’m 4/5dpo, we dtd a lot around ovulation, who knows if it’s worked! Roll on 10dpo for the first test!

MrsDub · 09/01/2018 15:19

Wish you strength and a good distraction (and some kip!) til then @ATP1000 - same boat, went for it this month Blush coming off the pill has had a huge and v welcome effect (away this week so poor DH has a bit of R&R!!).

Was planning just to wait for AF/not (due 20th) but not sure I won't crack and test next wk. Trying to keep my cool in case we have a long road ahead vs very excited.

HoneyCake86 · 09/01/2018 15:42

Woop! It is ON tonight! 😈Grin

ATP1000 · 09/01/2018 15:58

Thanks @mrsdub, I’ve havent been on the pill for years but always been careful, had I known it was this challenging to conceive I wouldn’t have worried quite so much! 🙈
R&R all round sounds like a good plan, we’ve booked a few days away for the end of Feb, coincides with 2 cycles from now so maybe that’ll do the trick for me!
I have limited will power, if I get to Day 10 I’ll be doing well!
